Tonight two Idol hopefulls were sent packing.

Before this happened however we were told about the new Twist. The judges will be given the opportunity to save ONE contestant ONE time during the season until the top 5. They can only use the save once all season.

To begin the evening we get a look at the mansion the contestents will be living in while on the show. I have to say I am sooooooooooo jealous. It has a bowling alley, a swimming pool, hot tub, steam room, basketball court and probably a lot more we didn't see.

Next the entire 13 sang some Michael Jackson songs. Not bad as a group, but a little sedate. I think they chose the most boring of MJ's songs.

We then get a recap of the performances from last night. It seems like a foregone conclusion that Jorge and Anoop will be going home. But you never can tell with America, how will they vote.

The results were announced: Michael, safe; Allison, safe; Jasmine, moved to the center of the stage; Matt, safe; Megan, sent to the center of the stage.

No messing around ... Megan is safe and Jasmine is going home. NOW, I didn't think Jasmine was the best singer, but she is certainly better than Anoop and Jorge. With the contest already lopsided in favor of the men I was totally surprised.
Jasmine sang and Seacrest gave the judges the opportunity to use their one and only save ... it isn't likely they would at this point but who knows ... well I know ... they didn't use it.

We also get to see the Ford video everyone made and I was surprised to see Adam wasn't highlighted as much as some of the others.

Next group:
Scott, safe; Alexis, safe; Danny, safe; Anoop sent to center stage.
Next: Adam, safe; Lil, safe and Jorge sent to center stage.

Things aren't going to go as quickly for the men. Before the announcement Kelly Clarkson is on hand to sing "My Life Would Suck Without You" and I found I rather liked it .... surprising since I am not a Clarkson fan. We also find out every week one of the former Idol winners will be on hand to perform live. (I wonder if Taylor Hicks will be among them ... is all forgiven and forgotten?)

Back to Anoop and Jorge. Anoop is .......... SAFE? WHAT? You have got to be kidding me.

Jorge is going home.

So tonight ... America made a mistake ... Anoop should have joined Jorge, in leaving ... NOT Jasmine.

I can see right now I am going to have to start voting!

So what does everyone else think?

I think Anoop needs to take stock! Did anybody catch what the theme for next week will be?

Also, I LOVE Kelly Clarkson and am a huge fan. I was so glad to see her perform live. She sounds amazing!!
