I loved this show last season! This season has even prettier people with nastier personalities...or so it appears.I caught last night's episode and absolutely loved it. I have to say so far my faves are Chris (the androgenous male) and Salome. I'm sure I will change my mind constantly throughout this season like I did last season beause there are such cool people and personalities again. I also like their new format and the new judges. Did you agree with the choice to go home this week? Ya kind of saw it coming though, right? |

I loved this show last season, but I'm behind ... just caught the first episode, though. I definitely agreed with them sending Ken home - he was HORRIBLE on the catwalk and didn't even want to have a more "model-like" body. I definitely don't think that physique is realistic for the majority of people, but if you're going to enter that industry, you should realize what you're getting yourself into. He acted like he was all great the way he was, but he said he was a trainer and he wasn't even that toned. I'd expect my trainer to have a little more definition than he did. I like Salome too, but I think that my favorite is the girl that won the week - can't for the life of me think of her name right now. I thought it was hilarious, though, when Salome blurted out that she should take someone on the go-see that she could beat. It's a competition and I totally agree with her reasoning, but there are some things that you just aren't supposed to say out loud! I have the second episode taped and hopefully I'll be able to catch up soon ... |

Hurry up!! I need to talk to somebody about it. I definitely loved the photo shoot on the second episode and I totally agree with the eliminated contestant again, even though I was rooting for them.

O-M-G! Bringing in Tabitha to do the makeovers was GENIUS! I think that she did a fabulous job. I also agree that Chris was the right one to go based on his performance, but I really wanted to see them give CJ the boot. What a brat! She looks SO much more book-able as a model - what I would give to have someone with that sort of experience give me a look ... and she stood on the runway like a petulant child. I felt like she needed to be back-handed. I loved the photo shoot too. Tyra needs to be watching this and stealing some ideas! |

I didn't get to watch last night's show until suuuupperr late so I may not have everything in the right order or the right names, but you will get the gist of it. The photoshoot was of an athletic nature. They were separated into groups of 2 - 3 people. THey were all hooked up to a harness and were supposed to be similating some type of sport. They were promoting the sportswear so it still had to be "fashioinable". Nobody wanted to be paired with CJ because of her behavior last week and her negative energy that was still hanging like a fog over the house. Pairings were: Colin & Branden Mountaha, Salome and Shawn Laury, Amanda & Kerryn Sandhurst, Jordan & Karen CJ, Jonathan & Gabriel Amanda won the photo challenge and chose Kerryn to go with her on a go-see at Macy's. They were looking for "All American" girls. Laury was pissed and told their mentor that she thought she had a better pic because she took diretion well :?: She was given some constructive criticism which made her lock herself in her room. While the girls are at their go-see, CJ, Jonathan and Branden decide they are going to put on some colorful wigs, clothes, etc. and do a photoshoot of their own. Gabriel decides to join them and he's only wearing his underwear. According to Sandhurst, this is normal for Gabriel. CJ's attitude has shifted and the house is feeling it. The girls get shot down because they just arent' ready yet. Kerryn has a lot further to go with her confidence and this sets her back a bit. Amanda takes it as some good advice and moves on! At the catwalk, the contestants will be modeling underwear while sporting some cage-like contraptions. They are supposed to strike a pose like they are throwing a javelin at the end of the runway. They must have changed it while they were getting hair and make-up done because some struck a pose like they were bowling (MOuntaha who has no sports experience because of her Menonite upbringing); cricket like Jonathan. Speaking of Jonathan...in a tight race between he and one of the girls, he wins immunity for next week. I have to mention one of the judges this week was Tabitha again and I just love her straight-to-the-point jabs at some of these cocky contestants. The bottom two are Gabriel (again) and Karen. Gabriel has a look about him that he just doesn't give a damn, but because his body is slamming he is saved. Poor Karen just never stood out to the judges and made a "deer in the headlights" pose at the end of the runway and she was sent packing. All in all, a pretty good episode. Good job, FG - and yes, it was a great episode! I agree that Karen was a good choice, but I did want to see Gabriel go. I guess that he has more potential, but his attitude is ridiculous. I was getting pretty sick of how the others in the house were reacting to CJ. If she bums you out, just ignore her! One thing I noticed in your recap - I thought that Salome was the Mennonite. Was it Mountaha (what kind of names are these, anyway)? I know that Salome complained about never doing sports, but I didn't see everybody's poses, so I don't know if she was the one "bowling". I really am starting to like Amanda. I was glad that she won the challenge, and I think that it was an excellent idea to give a go see as the prize - I really think that they changes they made to the format this season are great. |

You are absolutely right! It is Salome who is the Menonite. Thanks for clearing that up. |

How is Gabriel still a part of this show? Don't get me wrong, I totally agree wtih eliminating CJ, however, Gabe has been in the bottom two 4 times!! I don't get it. He doesn't appeal to me at all and talk about a "devil may care" attitude. I think Sean should have stayed last week, but whatever! |
