I have to admit after watching this episode, I have discovered my family is more normal than I thought.

The home visits happened and Jillian was first. Her family actually seemed very sweet and though it was sad to hear about some of their struggles it was awesome to see they had worked through the problems and now appear to be a very 'all together' family. Based on family experience only, I think Jillian became more real and her personality explainable. She has never been one of my favs but now I could actually see her and Jason having a life together. She has proven she can overcome adversity and still come out a happy well rounded person.

Molly's family came next. I think I'd have been embarrassed if my mom had pulled out a bunch of hats and made everyone wear them. However I think Jason's reaction to the weirdness (in my opinion) proved to them he could fit in. I like Molly but I have some of the same questions Jason has. IS she READY to settle down and be a wife to him but even more important a mother figure to Ty. I think several of these women really are falling for Jason and because of that, SAY they can't wait to have TY in their lives too ... but I wonder. Relationships can be hard at first in the best situations, but having a ready made family ... well it takes someone special to be able to start a relationship with that sort of obstacle.

Having seen Jason and Ty, the way he caters to him, and the bond they share will be very hard for anyone to find a way to be part of. No mention is made of his 'ex' but since he says he is not looking for a 'mother' for Ty I am assuming she is still part of Ty's life ... which means these women will also be dealing with an exwife. From personal experience this can be an unpleasant and draining experience. So I do believe a couple of these women, starry eyed over Jason, do not know the full impact of the life they would be entering with him.

Naomi ... very very strange parents. The dead bird in the refrigerato r, for me made all that came next totally predictable. A father who is a strong Christian. Being a Christian myself I respect his life, but wonder if meeting someone for the first time was the best time to try to make a believer out of Jason. That should have been a gradual process of sharing his faith and beliefs. THEN we have the mom who believes in reincarnation .... totally opposite of the father's beliefs. She says in a past life Jason was a "mom" and feels a kinship with him. Naomi was socked at some of the antics of her family, but I wonder just how surprised she was, having lived n this family and knowing their personalities.

Sadly the visit with Melissa did not go as Jason wanted. Her parents refused to meet him and both he and Melissa wondered how this would affect his decision about her. On a positive note he got to meet her best friends ... and THEY hadn't met her parents either. Mel says they are very private and didn't want the publicness of this situation. She also says they never came to her games when she was a cheerleader and she was okay with that. One might wonder just what kind of parents she has ... I too am a private person but that wouldn't keep me from experiences the important things in my daughter's life. On the up side, Mel's best friend did tell Jason when she did meet her parents once in college she thought her mother was a lot like Melissa.

Back to Seattle for the rose ceremony. I predicted Naomi would be the one to leave though I had a bad feeling for Melissa too ... not sure if Jason could overcome in his own mind not being able to meet her parents .... but in the end it was Naomi who left the show. I agreed with Jason's reasons though I did feel bad for her.

Now it appears I owe Jlyl an apology ... DeAnna will be back after all. I hate the fact they are bringing her back. It isn't fair to these women who have gone through this experience. DeAnna had her chance (TWICE) and made the wrong choice. I do not think she is reliable and is not someone Jason will be able to really count on. It reminds me of the season MARY returned and Byron chose her. I didn't think that was fair either and though they appear to still be together, they have had a volitile relationshp and HE has actually be ABUSED by her. AND there have still be no wedding bells unless it happened after her last arrest.

Anyway at this point I am pulling for Melissa and Jillian. I hope Jason sends DeAnna away just as he has the others who were not right for him. From past seasons, all of the contestants have said they knew who they wanted but had to keep it a secret and pretend all the women had the same opportunity to be chosen, so I hope whoever it is Jason has fallen for, it's strong enough to survive the return of the wicked witch who broke his heart. (for the record I liked DeAnna ... thought she made the wrong choice in Jesse ... but she DID make that choice and she needs to move on and let Jason move on)

Hey, apology accepted - who knows what will ever happen in the world of reality tv anyway, right?

I agree that DeAnna should NOT get the chance to come back to him. I hope that he sends her away quickly. I think that DeAnna picked the person that she thought would be more exciting and glamorous for her and now that it's over I hate thinking that she will be coming back to say that she wants to be a wife and a mother.

I am also pulling for Melissa and Jillian. I am glad that Jason did not let Melissa's parents' decision change how he felt. While your family is an important part of who you are, at some point you don't have control over how they act and the number one thing is that you know when to be your own adult. Just because her parents didn't want to be on tv shouldn't mean that Melissa isn't right for Jason.
