Season premier was last night any thoughts. I really like this diverse cast. If you get a chance, go the CBS website and catch Michelle's final words. If she didn't offend anybody during the televised portion of the show, she definitely covered it in her final words. What a spoiled be-yotch!!

I couldn't help but wonder if Michelle had ever actually seen the show, because she seemed to have no clue that there's a social component.

It was no surprise that Gillian was voted out too. If you're going to get past a lack of athleticism, you have to be less annoying than she was. My early favorites are all on Kota - I like Paloma and Bob, but I think that the early alliance formed (I'm blanking on names here, but it was the first four to join up) will be a strong force.

One thing that continues to amaze me is the clothing that these people show up in. I mean, it's pretty common at this point for them to be left "in their street clothes." Do you think the producers tell them they're off to a photo shoot and then, surprise, game starts now? I know that I've read interviews where previous contestants have talked about producers picking out clothing for them, but I'd do my darndest to never put on a skirt.

I was rather disappointed that they gave Fang fire, but I was impressed that they managed to create their own fishing gear and catch something. That's the kind of Survivor I want to see!

When the first episode aired all I could think of was how annoying both Michele and Gillian were. So when at the end of the evening both were gone, I was a happy camper. My second thought was WHAT IS FANG THINKING ... when they were choosing their members.

It was like ... haven't they ever seen the show .. don't they know strength is important ... as well as brains. I think Fang ended up with every annoying person in the game. AND with the ones who can't do anything. However there are exceptions. I also can't get the names straight at this point but I like the Olympic winner on Fang. Hope she lasts and makes it to the merger ... which I know is a long way off. CG or whatever his name is ... the temporary one day LEADER also rubs me the wrong way. BUT I understand his decision not to want to lead that particular team.

I agree with JLYL ... Kota has the most likable tribe. I also agree that the early alliance was a good one. Was so glad it wasn't going to be one of those 'men against the women' alliance things this year.

So far I've like the challenges but wonder if they are doing away with seperate reward and immunity challenges. Both times they were combined in the opener. I also dropped my mouth when Jeff gave Fang fire after tribal council. What was the point of it being a reward in the first challenge if the losers were going to get it anyway? Doesn't seem like it was much of a reward.

The guy who went to exile island was a dork. I would have done a lot more exploring than he did. He talked about how smart he is and then stopped short of really looking ... at least that is how it appeared.

It seems in a lot of ways (except for the clothes) this years group has a little more ingenuity on how to survive and create things they need. I think it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Oh yeah ... the older guy on the KOTA tribe .. I like him. Gillian could have taken a lesson on how to be an asset instead of a pain in the butt from him.
