It’s POV night and I predict that people will fight with each other. There will be yelling and outrageous insults. I know – I’m like psychic, right? We get a flashback to Michelle’s nominations that are completely strategic – not personal at all. Keesha is sure that Michelle had some help from April in her nominations and Libra reacts with no surprise at all. Dan, however, is surprised because he fully expected to be on the block. Jerry thinks that he should have been and says that the only way Dan could justify his actions would be if he was America’s Player. When all is said and done, it’s possible that Dan may be forgiven for something that he would’ve done anyway because “America made him do it.” Too bad he can’t tell … Libra promises Keesha that she won’t campaign against her and the two of them talk about how disgusted they are with April’s sudden position as Michelle’s BFF. The group hanging together at this point is Libra, Keesha, Renny, and Dan. Shortly after, though, Michelle pulls Keesha aside to tell her that Libra is the real target. Michelle says that every person that has been evicted has been a victim of Libra and Keesha is glad that the part that she’s had in all that seems to be forgotten. To her credit, though, Keesha doesn’t seem to slam Libra as much as she probably could in this moment. Next, contestants are chosen for the POV. Dan just hopes that Jerry doesn’t play because he thinks everyone else would leave the nominees as is. As it turns out, Michelle picks April, Keesha picks Memphis and Libra picks Jerry. Ollie is named host and the houseguests are back to their bitching and scheming. Jerry, April, and Ollie spend some time bashing Libra and all of a sudden April’s missing her former best friend Jessie. The three of them also have hated her since moment one – you know, when they formed an alliance with her. In the DR, though, Jerry still chooses Dan as public enemy number one. He then takes his concerns to Michelle, and they talk about Dan as a possible America’s Player. They bash his religion and then we see more of Jerry’s DR where he talks about winning the veto, taking a nominee down, and seeing Dan go up. Back to Jerry and Michelle and this time the word is that if Dan is America’s Player, he’s a scumbag. Not sure how the two of those go together, but whatevs. On a lighter note, we get to see some late-night antics (finally – something besides yelling!) where Dan and Memphis put bandanas over their faces and wake the girls up screaming. Good times, but now we’re back to the serious stuff – the POV. The HGs go into the backyard and the entire place is full of onions. For the competition, they have to chop onions, put them in a container that’s right under their nose, and move the onions to either their veto bin or a mystery bin. In the end, the person with the heaviest veto box would get the veto and the two heaviest mystery boxes would get prizes. Memphis went all mystery box, and April went half and half. Libra tried to keep her chunks as big as would fit into the hole, thinking that the chunkier, the heavier. Keesha, however, is all drama with the crying. As an added little bonus, the alley that they have to walk down to put their onions seems to be all slick with onion juice or something. As the competition progresses, Dan can see the intensity in Jerry’s eyes and feels the heat because he knows that Jerry could easily make a deal to get Dan on the block. Overall, it’s an odd little challenge. In the end, the mystery boxes are weighed first. Libra is the only one to put absolutely zero onions in the mystery box and the prizes are won by Memphis and April with Memphis in first place. Memphis’ prize, however, was to wear an onion necklace for 24 hours. April fared much better with her prize – a personal stylist to choose five designer outfits for her. In the actual veto competition, Keesha cries even harder when she learns that she doesn’t win and that Michelle is in the current lead. Michelle comforts Keesha, though, because she isn’t the target … however, we then learn that Libra’s box weighs more than Michelle’s. Jerry is last to be weighed, and he’s confidant, and for good reason. The old man smoked everybody by a good four pounds. Libra is absolutely defeated and Jerry is even more obnoxious than usual. He tells some story about an old cow and a young bull or something, and again I say, whatevs. He then dances around shirtless in celebration. … euw … and says that they need to get Dan. He knows that Dan is nervous, and he can’t be happier. He also encourages April and Ollie to call Dan Judas. On a side note, does Jerry only own two shirts? Pretty much immediately, Jerry goes to Michelle to talk about his epic victory. He wants to take Keesha down, put Dan up, and “let Dan feel it” for getting Jessie out. Michelle is nervous that if that Dan is only the block, Libra won’t go home, but she tells Jerry that she wants him to do what he wants to do. Next up, the HGs get their feast that Michelle won during the food comp. They’re especially excited because they’ve been on slop pretty much all week and they must be tipsy too, because they decide (at Keesha’s suggestion) to go around the table and each say something positive about someone else. Here’s what comes out: Memphis: “May the best days of our past be the worst days of our future.” Don’t know how that’s something nice about a HG … Renny: kisses Jerry’s butt by telling him how fabulous he is for being 75 years old and such a super guy, blah, blah, blah, then says that all the girls are unique and beautiful in their own way. She also says that Libra is an amazing mother – and Michelle immediately cuts off that line of talk and gives Dan the floor Dan: also takes advantage of this moment to try to get points with Jerry – he actually gets tears in his eyes when he talks about how Jerry is a grandfather to him. Jerry says that he felt betrayed but kind of sort of forgives Dan. Keesha – on her agenda is making amends with April – what a lovefest. Libra makes a joke about Keesha wanting to borrow one of April’s new designer dresses, and Michelle, surprise, can’t take a joke. Ollie – he just wants everybody to know that if anybody ever wants to talk, he’s there for them. Libra wants to take him up on it. When Libra does get the chance to talk to Ollie, she cries and tells him how disappointed she was when he called her the names that he did. They hug and it’s touching … and then Libra throws Keesha under the bus by blaming her for masterminding the Jessie vote. In the meantime, though, Keesha is upstairs talking to Michelle about Libra’s joke about Keesha wanting a designer dress from April. Keesha apparently didn’t hear Libra (to me it didn’t seem like Libra was whispering or anything, but I may have been wrong as to where she was sitting in regards to Keesha, I guess), so Michelle goes and gets April to confirm the story. Still drinking, Keesha thinks that they should go get Libra. Not that BB had to add alcohol to this house for a blow-up, but now we’re getting yelling with slurring – at least it’s something a little new, right? So, Libra joins the group and says that she was making a joke. Keesha starts with Libra with Michelle greasing the wheels and … insert any other fight here. Michelle, Libra, Keesha, and April stay in the HOH room to scream at each other while Memphis gets the hell out as quickly as possible. Everyone else stays downstairs, which makes Dan nothing but happy. The fun continues upstairs with Libra pointing the Jessie finger at Keesha and Keesha passing it on to April. Keesha tries to leave the fight, but Michelle follows her through the house to continue it. I have to laugh out loud as Michelle follows her, screaming, “Why are you yelling at me? Why are you yelling at me?” I’m sure that it’s not because you started stirring stuff up, Michelle … this is what it got ya. In the end, though, Keesha’s rant against April is smart enough that I’m not sure that Keesha’s as drunk as she seems – April’s been avoiding a lot of heat for awhile now. Finally, let’s just get to it – the POV ceremony. Tensions are high as Jerry yells out that it’s time in his military voice. Then, he gets all calm when he gives them their chance to speak. Here’s how it goes: Keesha: I know why I’m here – I was one of the people that evicted Jessie and I take full responsibility – I don’t expect you to use the veto on me because of what I’ve done. Libra: I voted Jessie out as well – I’m going to take the consequences of that action – I am okay and understand that you probably will not use the veto on me. Jerry: Michelle had the opportunity to nominate two people. I had no power then. I would have chosen Dan, who walked around the house wearing a cross and toting a Bible while he lied to Jessie. To me, Dan, you will always be Judas. But, Dan, it’s your lucky day because I’m going to keep my word to the HOH and not use the POV. As tonight’s episode ends, Keesha’s plan is to “kill them with kindness” while Libra wants to spread the word that it was Keesha that went gathering votes against Jessie. We’ll find out which strategy works on Thursday night. |
