Hi all. Anyone watching PR this season except me? It snuck up on me and I missed most of it last night. Just saw the ending, but will post more on this once I see the whole show.

Oh, I saw it and it was goooooood! If you thought that Michael Kors was a *#!? before, just wait ... and I definitely think that they sent the right person home, although they couldn't have gone wrong getting rid of anyone in the bottom three. I'm looking forward to this season.

It was such a good episode for the premiere. They were pretty hard on Stella though, I didn't think it looked that bad for a trash bag. They made the best decision for sending that one guy home, it was funny looking at the model, it almost looked like she was pregnant in that.

Winning Design Was By Kelli
Posted Image

A lot of them, I though were very good, but since they used tablecloths and stuff, they didn't win.

Korto's Design
Posted Image

Joe's Design, didn't use tablecloths
Posted Image

Keith's Design
Posted Image

And then there was the bottom three.

Here's Blayne's Ugly Blob of Outfit
Posted Image

Stella's Design, which I didn't think looked that bad
Posted Image

And the losing Design by Jerry. As described by the judges as being something a killer would wear.
Which I totally agree with.
Posted Image
^^Worst design ever, auf Wiedersehen, Jerry!^^
The model doesn't look too happy either.

Thanks for posting the pics Schoolboy--I tried doing that last week and it wouldn't let me.

Is it just me or are some of these models less than beautiful? Ah, I remember the good old days when models were pretty like Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer. Kate Moss ruined it for all future models--I know it's chic but I hate that no make-up, skinny, sick look that is so prevalent in models today. OK, I'm showing my old age... :)

I very much agree, Kelli's model, I have to say isn't as beautiful as some of the other models in past competitions. I think they are now just picking people off the street.

I love that it's back on. I thought for sure it wasn't starting until Shear Genius finished. I'm so loving they had Austin Scarlett return. One of my favorite cast members of all time. I hope this is indicative of how this season will go. I am so happy they kept the rocker chick. I think given another opportunity she may surprise us.

I thought Bravo fired Nina Garcia, yet I saw her on the show. What gives?

They didn't fire her. There was some talk about her being able to juggle judging and her editorship. I think she was asked to step down as the editor, but then regained it.

Nina was introduced as Editor at Large. any idea if that is different from Editor in Chief, which is what she used to be, i think?

Well if Editor at Large is anything like Council at Large positions it is sort of a floating thing whereas before she may have been Managing Editor or Style Editor, I would think an Editor at Large could kind of float to areas they need an editor in... That's my best guess. Council at Large members represent the whole group, not just a specific district or area.

I have the impression that Editor at Large is a sort of figurehead position to keep the name she's made for herself associated with the magazine without her having to do any of the actual day-to-day work.

I disagree with the compliments for Stella's outfit - for me, it wasn't so much that the outfit looked so bad but that it showed such a lack of effort. I do hope that she'll do some cool things, but I think she called it in last week.

Another great show last night. Between this, Shear Genius, SYTYCD and BB I was up past midnight last night.

My favorite dress won. I think the dude who created it is a huge horses patoot, but I did like his dress.

I can't say I loved very many dresses in this challenge. Right now, the designers are being very safe with their work, but the ones who dare to express their great ideas, are put into the bottom. The only exception to this would probably be Suede, he didn't play it safe, even though I didn't the dress, the judges did.

Here are the important designs this episode.

THE TOP:

And the winner's design, Suede:

Kenley's Design 2nd place:

Stella's Design, from 2nd to last, to 3rd place:

THE BOTTOM:

Korto's Design, almost the exact opposite with Stella from last week:

Leanne's Design, 2nd to last:

Auf Wiedersehen Wesley, worst design for this challenge:

I actually liked Kenly's dress better, and I think that she didn't win because Suede's was more marketable (I don't think anyone would really buy something with that collar on bluefly.com) I do think that the right person went home, but I also don't think that the judges didn't consider that many models vastly underestimated how much material it takes to buy a dress.

Yeah, I thought they were judged quite critically on material, etc. when they had no control over it. Korto was extremely lucky she dodged a bullet. Also, the girl with all the excess crap on her dress was just as hideous as the dude who went home.

I agree about the marketability of the dress on bluefly.com, but that was part of the challenge. ;)

I haven't seen the epi yet but I like Kenley's design the best. To me it's more marketable than that first place thing. Hate the losing design. Looks like someone put it on after storing it in the bottom of a big garbage bag filled with tons of clothes. too wrinkly looking or puckery I can't really tell. Anyway a horror!

All I can say about the winner of last night's epi was "HUH???" HIDEOUS IMO. It looked like an 80's nightmare of neon in green and purple to me. I guess my tastes are just WAY too conservative for the "creative" types but I'm telling you I don't know a single person who would wear that creation. That was just wrong!

I agree. The gal that got second should have totally taken it.

I was completely confused by the judges this week! Here are some pictures:

Kenley, who won first place:
Posted Image

Jerell, who I think should've won (wasn't even in the top 3!):
Posted Image

Leanne, who was 2nd:
Posted Image

Terri, who was 3rd:
Posted Image
(Unfortunately, you can't see the back of this, which I think is the best part - it's really low and gives the outfit something interesting - I think that from the front it's pretty boring.)

Emily, who was sent home:
Posted Image

Jennifer, who was second to last:
Posted Image

Keith, last of the bottom three:
Posted Image

Blayne's hot mess that he wasn't called on at all:
Posted Image

I agree that Emily's was bad enough to get her sent home, but I think they really missed the boat on who they put on top. I also would've put Kelli up there:

As I watched the show this week, I kept wondering if I hadn't heard the challenge right. What were these people doing? What Olympian is going to wear a dress in the opening ceremonies? It was ridiculous! I'll be right back to post the winner and loser ...

The fact that Jennifer got sent home really sucks. I was really rooting for her. She was so sweet at heart. And I think that the other guys was just as bad, if not worse. It didn't even have anything to do with America, except for the red. Purple was horrible, I am color blind, and I even I could tell that it was purple. Hopefully something happens where Jen gets to come back.

The people who I am rooting for right now are: Blayne, Kelli, and Stella.
