I have been watching this off an on. Usually DVR it and watch later. Some of the competitions have been great and others so off the wall it's like someone dragging their nails over a chalk board.

Last week they showed the top 10 of the worst ... they were so bad they were funny .. sometimes.

The Toronto auditions this week were a disappointment. There was this one team act that were hilarious but didn't make it. They acted like father and son, but think they were both about the same age. The ones who made it didn't make me laugh anywhere as hard as these two did.

For the most part I have been in agreement with the judges, who I am pleased to say are varied this year and usually someone I know.

I sort of lost interest in this show when they changed the format. I liked it when they all lived together and you got to know them more than just seeing them on stage. When I saw the format had changed last year I don't think I watched more than one show. I am giving it another shot but still preferred the old set up

I watch because I'm a huge fan of stand-up comedy. I have to say the only disappointment I have is Eddie Pepetone. I know in the past there has been some complaints about him not making it into the house, and sometimes I agreed. His 2 minutes we saw at the beginning were ridiculous and childish. I found his act to have made #11 on the Best of the Worst clips. :rolleyes

Nobody really stands out for me yet. I know that the chosen ones are generally pre-ordained, but I do like that they are giving the up-and-comers their fifteen seconds.

I keep missing this and catching it on...is it msnbc that re-runs it on the weekend? Anyway, I haven't seen enough to really even comment. I do like the show though and hope it's a good season.

I've been watching...

I was quite surprised to see Sean Cullen... he is a very popular comedian in Canada, and at one time, he even had his own show...

Just watched the most recent episode and loved so many of the acts that didn't make. Was happy the Lee guy made it and also Dale from Nashville. I was not happy the skinny girl made it .. didn't find her funny. Well next week is the international show ... I am really waiting for them to get to Vegas

Wasn't Sean Cullen part of Corky and the Juice Pigs? They use to be on MADTV a few years back. He is pretty established as a comedian, weird to hear he is on it. I haven't been able to watch this season since I am always out Thursday nights and my VCR sucks real bad lately. I might try and catch up at some point.

I can't believe that bald guy with the bass made it! YUCK! I also wanted John Maloney (I think that was his name) to make it. Darn!

I agree JB ... there were two others I'd have rather seen made it. I was glad the prop guy made it ... and actually except for the bald guy I liked the ones who moved on. Sometimes I wonder what the criteria really is ... I laughed my butt off at a couple that didn't move on but the bald guy left me saying huh?!

Well at least the semi finals begin this week. I did have some favs who made it that far so will be interesting to see if I have a different sense of humor than those who actually do the judging

I didn't like that Indian guy that well either. I would rather John Maloney made it than him or the guy who talked about the sign in the back of his car.

OK DEFINITELY the right 2 went last week. I hated, hated, HATED Papa CJ and am SO glad he is gone. He had the same routine every time I saw him--he needs more material! And Paul Foote? Never got him at all--glad he isn't taking up space in the comedy house anymore.

I love Jim Tavaret (aka the "bald guy") his humor is unique and he has plenty of material. Some of the comics that you liked but didnt' make the "team" just didn't have a lot of material with unique humor. I think the only reason Papa CJ made the cut is to fill the international quota this season. How the heck Paul Foote made it is beyond me. Cullen's humor is too Benny Hill for my taste but he's had a couple of pretty funny one-liners in the show.

Any favorites coming out of last night's show?

I thought Liza Schlesinger did pretty good, but the best of the night was definitely Ramey (the last guy to go). Ron G and Adam Hunter were way too spaztic and all over the place. There was nothing to tie any of their material together. It was like they were trying to get as many jokes in before their time is up. It's a shame because I really liked Adam Hunter during Vegas week.

How many are moving on to the finals?

5 will make it to the finals. At least that's the impression I got last night when Marcus got to finals and he said "TOP 5".

I hate Jim Tavare. I don't think he is funny in the least but nobody could be worse than Papa CJ IMO. So glad he got cut last week. I do like Sean Cullen but I think he will get cut next week. Iliza I like alot and pick her for the win. I also thought Jeff did a good job last night and agree about Lewis Ramey. He did rock the house last night!

Sean Cullen will stay for a while I think.

Personally, I like Iliza the best I think. I haven't been watching regularly, but I caught most of yesterday's episode.

I finally got to watch the show I recorded. I like Marcus and was glad he made it to the top 5. I all so like Jeff and Iliza alot. Can't stand Jim. Lewis was also very good in my opinion. So there are 4 of my picks for top 5. I was glad Paul got cut and Papa CJ .. who I liked at first but he became old hat really quick. One trick pony and all that.

I also liked Sean so guess that rounds out the top 5 for me LOL

OK, REALLY disapointed that Jim Tavare made the finals, but not surprised. I have to admit he was funnier last night than I've ever seen him before though.

Also not surprised at the 3 who did not make it. Sean KNEW going in that he was going and it showed in his performance last night. You could tell it had taken the wind out of his sails. Iliza was better than him last week so, even though I like him personally, she was the better choice last night. If I could have made a substitution though Tavare would be out and Sean in but... I didn't vote, so I have no room to complain!

I would be happy with anyone winning but Jim Tavare.

That's odd because I really enjoyed Jim Tavares last night. Not as much as Marcus. Grante, my freakin TiVo went out during the punch-line of one of Louis Ramey's jokes, so I didn't get to see everybody perform. I'll have to catch it later today online.

Well as I said in my post, I thought Tavare was funnier last night than I've ever seen him--I just done like him, hence, my assessment.

I finally got to watch the show. I really didn't think Marcus was that funny while I thought Ron G was extremely good. Too bad Marcus had a get ahead free pass. Jim was actualy not to bad. Jeff disappointed. Sean wasn't good and I wasn't all that thrilled with Illiza's performance either. Was glad Hunter didn't make it. Ramey was good ... so just from this performance, though Jeff has been my favortie till tonight, I'd have to say Ramey should win.

Congratulations to Iliza for being the first female LCS winner! :yay:

I was shocked to see that Louis Ramey came in 5th. I thought for sure it would have been Jeff or Jim. Oh well, what a great season.

I called it from the beginning. I wish they both could have won. They are both funny. I was shocked too to see Louis in 5th--that was SO wrong!
