Opinionated Posts: 3,739 Group: Writer Member #317 Joined: August 14, 2005	When the season began I had my top picks. My favortie female was Kourtni and my favorite male was Twitch. As the season has progressed I stuck firm with these two as my choice to go all the way ... but tonight all that changed. Twitch remains in my top three guys but Kourtni and really lost her appeal for me. I don't know if it is because she is so tall and often seems clumsy in her moves or if it is her partner ... I just know she isn't cutting it with me any longer. After tonight I have a new order and it goes like this: Top three couples for me are Kherington / Twitch, Katee / Joshua and Chelsea and Mark. On the cusp is the team of Courtney and Gev. My bottom three are Comfort / Thayne, Kourtni / Matt and Jessica and Will. Now for the record this is only my TEAM order. Individually it may be different. Such as the case with Jessica and Will ... I like Will but not Jessica. Tonight each couple had two dances. I will let Funnygirl fill you in on all the details in her recap but briefly: Jessica and Will danced the Jive and lyrical jazz. I hate the jive and the jazz routine was just slightly better. Comfort and Thayne who danced as a couple for the first time did a very nice Broadway routine from West Side story and I did enjoy it a lot. They then did smooth waltz which was also enjoyable and I applaud them for their efforts. However as good as they were there are others who are much better. Kourtni and Matt danced Hip Hop and mambo. The Hip Hop was okay but I really found the mambo hard to watch. It seemed jerky and just not what I would have expected from Kourtni when I first fell in love with her dancing. Chelsie and Mark have been moving up on my favorite list and their performances tonight showed why. They blew me away first with their Jazz routine and kept it hot with their Fox Trot. I love watching them together and think it will be sad when they are split up in the future. Kherrington and Twitch in my opinion is the couple to beat. They have been sensational every week and have awesome chemistry. I was in heaven when they danced the pasa doble and in 7th heaven when they performed Mia Michaels Contemporary number on the bed. WOW!!!! Katee and Joshua did another Mia Michaels contemporary dance and a Benji choreographed West Coast Swing. Courtney and Gev went from Hip Hop to Broadway. Both couples nailed their routines and I found them a joy to watch. I know this is an 'individual' competition in the end, but I will truly be sad to see some of these couples who do so well together, broken apart. At least there is a while before that happens.

Easin' into summertime... Posts: 3,514 Group: Writer Member #109 Joined: April 25, 2005	Alas, there will be no funnygirl recap of this show because what I got to see of it was blurred due to high winds and my satellite was a little garbled. Thank you for capturing the dances for me chairo and next week we'll have to sit at the judges table together and do a recap because we are so polar opposites in some of our likes and dislikes. From what I saw, I have to agree with Tabitha and Napoleon on their assessments of the dances tonight. I had to fast forward through Mary because, like Paula Abdul's ridiculous wardrobe assessments and drunken slurs, I can't take all of her juvenile screaming and metaphors. My top three couples of the evening are the same as chairo's and probably most of the viewing audience. I was willing Comfort and Thayne to have a "moment" tonight. I really do enjoy them on a personality level. I thought their first dance was good and their second dance was great, but both dances had no spark. I agree with Chairo and Tabitha and Nygel on Kourtni. She lost her luster somewhere in Vegas. She totally had me in Wisconsin and I had her pegged to go to the final four, but she really hasn't given us much in the way of performance since then. I think Matt is getting the raw end of the deal because of it. I think Jessica should GO! I don't think changing partners is going to help her. She's annoying on and off the stage for me. Katee and Joshua are for me what Kherrington and Twitch are for Chairo. I did not like their west coast swing as much as the show's panel did, but I blamed Benji's choreography. I think what he was trying to get them to do was too fast for the music or something. Their Mia Michael's routine was stunning and made me tear up at the end. I'm so glad that Napolean mentioned that they almost got rid of Katee in the beginning over a technicality beause she truly brings IT every week and I can see her paired with anybody and have the same results. I don't mean to take anything away from Joshua because he too has a gift and I enjoy watching him every week as well. Kherrington and Twitch fell a little short for me tonight. Now before Chairo gets her panties in a bunch, I think they came in a close second to Joshua and Katee. I think having Mia Michael's choreography helped them immensely. I think they need to make a challenge where every couple needs to do a Mia Michael's routine one week because the woman definitely knows what's she's doing. She would be the reason I would go and see a Celine Dion or Cher concert. Yeah, Gev's going home tonight and I hope he takes Jessica with him because I think Chelsea and Will may make a better pairing. Edited by funnygirl, Jul 3 2008, 09:29 AM.

That girl has more lives than a cat. She is the one who should have gone home tonight but didn't even land in the bottom 3. Outrageous!!! Something just doesn't seem right that Jessica who barely gets through the dances makes it through every week but someone as talented as Courtney ends up in the bottom 3 tonight. So having spouted off the bottom 3 couples in addition to Courtney and Gev were Comfort and Thayne and Kourtni and Matt. It saddens me that Kourtni has lost something in the transition from the tryouts to the SHOW. I, like Funnygirl expected to see her blossom and run away without a backwards glance into the finals. Alas, with a few exceptions she has left me brokenhearted with her inability to give the powerhouse performance even once. Watcing the solos, Gev and Courtney blew me away. Not so much the other four but admittedly Comfort and Thayne were more fun to watch than Kourtni and Matt. The judges obviously felt the same and sent Kourtni and Matt out of the competition. So my hopes now are with Kherinton and Twitch and Katee and Joshua. Or course when they all go solo, my opinions may change.
