One has to wonder what a private chef is: is it contrast to a public chef? I take this to mean that she doesn't cook in restaurants. Would you give someone a really good job in a restaurant with a big salary when she had no track record? I don't think so, but she looks like the most likely candidate for achievement. |

My uncle is a private chef... does catering... he would be excellent on this show (but he wouldn't want to do it... I think he's quite happy with his business right now)... He has quite the track record, and many past clients that book him again and again... I would say (without having seen this season) that that's likely the case with Corey, if she is the most likely candidate to win... |

I have an aunt who also considers herself a 'private' chef. As Dflem's uncle, she is now has a catering business though for years she owned a very popular restaurant. Remember last year we had the private chef / nanny on the show ... she cooked for only the family she worked for. |

OK I admit to being somewhat facetious about the private chef thing. I, myself, have hired out as a private chef for parties. I just don't think it qualifies me to work in a high pressure restaurant. Assuming Corey graduated from high school and had ANY culinary training whatsoever, she has maybe 5 years under her belt. I wouldn't trust anyone to work in a kitchen with people who hadn't cooked with other people in a similar kitchen. On top of this, Corey acts like perhaps the most entitled person of the group and, no doubt, she is the most devious. Tonight, for example, she sat down with Christina, someone she admits she dislikes and to whom she feels superior and pushed her to get rid of Jen, not that it took a big push. She is definitely the person I dislike the most, although she appears to be a good chef on occasion. She says that Christina doesn't have the experience, but how much more could she have herself?? |

I have to say Corey is my least favorite of those left. She started to annoy me early on with her attitude and I have to say my opinion has not changed. |
