What is your full name? My full name is Gevorg Manoukian. Do you have a nickname? I don’t really have a nickname. Where do you currently live? I currently live in Salt Lake City, UT. Where were you born? I was born in Kazakhstan, but I am Armenian/Russian. What is your hometown? My home town is Temirtau. How old are you? I am 21. What is your birth date? 09/15/1986 Are you in school? If so, which one and how long? Did you graduate? I currently go to the University of Utah . Are you married? No Do you have any children? No How old were you when you started dancing? I seriously started training when I was about 16. Do you have any formal dance training? Not really. If you had to categorize your dance style, what would it be? Break dancing. What other talents/hobbies do you have? I ice skate, play soccer and basketball, and martial arts. Who is your favorite professional dancer? Barishnikov. Does anyone in your family dance professionally? No Have you performed in musical theater or in public functions as a dancer? Yes, in Aida at Hale Center Theatre. What would you like to see happen to you as a result of the show? Get better as a dancer and get dance jobs. Where would you like to be in 10 years and what would you like to be doing? I would like to open my own dance studio, have a lot of professional dance experience, and also get in a movie. What has been your most memorable dance experience? My solo in Vegas. What have you learned so far in going through the audition process for this show? That being good at your own style is not enough. You have to know so much more. You need to know other styles of dance, you need to be entertaining and most importantly show who you really are. Don’t be fake. What are your favorite dance moments from movies, TV and/or stage? I like the dance that Carlton does on the Fresh prince show. Which choreographers would you like to work with? I am very open to learning, so for me working with any choreographer would be a great learning experience. Especially because I have never really worked with professional choreographers.
