Only a few days of the try outs and then one night of the Vegas competition and we have our top 20. I wasn't taking any notes because I was sure where this would go but I know Dflem always finds the names and descriptions of the finalists in everything. One thing about the Vegas elimination is that many I had considered favorites were horrible and some I thought not so good were awesome. I was thrilled Twitch made it. The blond who is close to her mom, the school teacher (though she didn't really stand out for me) and others I can't remember. The roommates were separated in the end. One made it and one didn't. Katee and Natalie were saved till the final two with only one spot left to fill so they already knew only one would stay. This is the only thing so far this year I felt was just for suspense and a little mean spirited by the producers. Katee was asked if she would come back next year if she didn't make it and she blubbered and said probably not, it took so much to get back this year etc etc etc. Her attitude bothered the judges so they were sent from the room and there was a revote which end in a tie. When the girls returned Katee stayed because of the tie the original vote counted. They asked Natalie to please come back next year. They like who she is and will look forward to seeing her again. There were a couple of injuries and promising dancers were eliminated for that. One male performer, Jeremiah just threw in the towel and decided he wasn't ready and walked out. The judges gave him a hard time but he really did blow the coreography so maybe he knew he couldn't do it and just saved them the trouble of eliminating him. For the most part I didn't have any other favs but the ones sort of mentioned here so I was good with the outcome. Next week I will try to get the names straight. Others will also be writing recaps so hopefully they will fill in here what I missed and we will back each other up in the future. I found the names of the finalists on the official fox site so here they are: Joshua, Rayven, Jamie, Twitch, Marquis, Matt, Comfort, Courtney G., Susie, Chelsie H., Chris, Thayne, Mark, Jessica, Kourtni L., Gev, Kherington, Katee, Chelsea T. and William. Easin' into summertime... Posts: 3,720 Group: Admin Member #109 Joined: April 25, 2005	Okay, I totally HATE that the skanky-looking school teacher from Miami made it through. Maybe I'll change my mind when I see her dancing in other disciplines because we saw NONE of her last during Vegas week. There were quite a few that we didn't get to see during auditions that made the top 20. I find this to be disconcerting. I'm glad they put Katee through because she was a better dancer. I mean you get these kids worn out, sleep-deprived and stressed to the outer limits and then ask them a question like that and when she tries to give an honest answer shame her. I say shame on them for putting her in that position. It was clear to me that she was just tired and drained and scared to death. They can call it what they will but Jeremiah did the right thing. He realized he was in over his head and why bring down another contestant because of it. I think he left with class. He's a street performer with no formal training, he wasn't picking up the choreography so why stick around just so they could eliminate him for the cameras. I'm glad Twitch is in this season because I love his personality and what he brings to the dance. I have to say though, unlike in past seasons, I don't see a "winning" personality or somebody who stands out talent-wise so it should be a relatively fair competition. ETA: The boy dancer who did his solo to Bohemian Rhapsody was absolutely amazing and entertaining to watch at that moment. Edited by funnygirl, Jun 6 2008, 09:27 AM.

I was glad she made it to the finals. I'd really like to see Twitch take it all the way to the end though. He has tried so hard and is finally in the position to get there

I have to agree with FG on this matter. I was watching the movie Hairspray yesterday (yes, I bit late!) and I saw that Twitch was in it!! I like that I'm not rooting for anyone else right away... bring on the competition. By the way, what happened to Shane Sparks? Is he too busy with that other dance show?

The only person I am rooting for right now is Twitch. Also the blond girl who's mom came with her ... will learn names next show lol

Easin' into summertime... Posts: 3,720 Group: Admin Member #109 Joined: April 25, 2005	I read somewhere that we will be seeing some Shane Sparks choreography this season, but that's it. I like him on Dance Crew. That show is awesome too. If you didn't get to see the first season, try and cath the reruns. This season should be better, but I have to say I wasn't as impressed with the Live Auditions as I thought I would be.

Sway With Me Posts: 571 Group: Admin Member #3 Joined: February 13, 2005	Dance crew is a good show but I just can't get into it as much as SYTYCD. At least we'll possibly have some choreography from Shane! I was afraid he became too cool for school. I am really looking forward to getting to know the names of the dancers because as of right now I can't even talk about what they look like... weird editing up to this point.
