Both teams were really really upset that they were getting their former partners back. Corey and Christina did not want Jen on their team for any reason, and Bobby and Petrozza cringed at the thought Matt was back on their team. An early wakeup call along with blindfolds began one of the craziest days in Hell's Kitchen ... or rather outside Hell's Kitchen for the moment since they were also whisked away to an unknown destination. When the blindfolds were removed they found them atop the roof of the future New London Restaurant in West Hollywood. Ramsay reminded them this plus the $250,000 they were given a peak at is what one of them will be winning. He then took them downstairs to see the inside of the restaurant which at this time is just a big empty room under construction. At this time they were asked to remove their jackets and were presented with black jackets. They are now one team and the competitions will be individual. Back at Hell’s Kitchen each chef was given one ingredient and 45 minutes to make their own dish. Matt did roasted veal. Christina, pan sheared sea bass, Bobby duck noodle soup and Jen rib eye which she sliced into thin pieces. Petrozza presented the Chef with stuffed chicken and Corey offered up Lobster soup. Ramsay praised them all but selected Jen and Christian as the two finalists. Jen won the prize … a trip to Vegas to meet Rock the season 3 winner of Hell’s Kitchen. She chose Corey to go with her. They were given awesome suites and got to go to Rock’s restaurant where he told them that Chef Ramsay isn’t looking for the best cook but rather the best potential chef. Mean while back at Hell’s Kitchen the breakdown of Matt begins. The punishment for the losers was to unload the delivery trucks and put the stuff away. Every time they hear a horn talk, they are to RUN to the trucks and unload what was ordered. Christina and Matt bickered the whole time. Matt kept trashing Christina for no good reason and then started complaining constantly. He smacked himself in the head and told them that is what crazy looks like. Matt’s behavior becomes more and more bizarre. Ramsay calls them all together in the kitchen just before dinner service is to begin and tells them this is their biggest night since there is only one kitchen in operation the service will be doubled. As fate would have it he assigned Christina and Matt to work together on the meat station. Bobby was given the fish station, Corey vegetables, Jen hot appetizers and Petrozza cold appetizers. The customers were not being served, but every time Chef turned around Matt was stuffing his face with something. When called out about that he told Chef he was tasting the food. Ramsay was on him all evening. Matt couldn’t remember what was being ordered. Complained of a migraine and his hands being numb. At one point he said to Christina they need to work together as a team … she agreed. Matt was still not getting it and his meat was either raw or over cooked. After one session of being yelled at he walked away complaining about being yelled at. Ramsay grabbed him and kicked him out and told him to go lay day and get over his headache. Next he kicked Jen out for leaving a pan of rice on the stove in Christina’s section, forgetting about it and letting it burn. Then Christina got the boot for not noticing the burning rice and then everyone was sent out of the kitchen and told to go agree on two to be evicted. Matt asked to speak to Ramsay alone and said he was sorry but he had a migraine and knows Ramsay understood since he told him to go lie down. Ramsay just shook his head and told he would be best served to go fight to stay here with the others. While he was talking to Ramsay the others all agreed he was to be nominated. When he returned and they told him he said go ahead, Ramsay wants him here and he will be there long after everyone else is gone. He said if Chef hadn’t wanted him to stay he’d have been gone a long time ago. He left and went to lie down without giving input as to the second nominee. Christina and Matt were nominated and Ramsay also called out Corey. He told her she was getting weaker as time went on instead of better. He told Christina she didn’t have enough experience and should maybe go learn some more elsewhere. Matt was sent home. Ramsay did a little rhyme with Matt’s name as to why he was gone. He sent the others back to their rooms after telling them there are no front runners at this point. Personal opinion: Jen is too volatile to win this. She doesn’t work well with others. Petrozza cooks well but is a total slob. Christina has potential but really is very inexperienced and makes some stupid mistakes. Corey is, as the Chef said, losing it and getting worse instead of better. She has become very emotional. Bobby continues to fly under the radar. If I were to pick today I’d say Bobby and Corey in the finals two …. but that may change after next week. |
