Agreed. Archuleta wins, David Cook and Michael make a beautiful album together and every war ends at that instant in the world...
How ya gonna fix it?

I guess anyone who doesn't want Idol to influence their album is better off not winning .... Perhaps David C is one of those? (but I'd like to see him win)

Honestly I think David A would be better served winning this contest. His area of idoldom is limited and could use the winner's contract to get is start. A year or two from now he will have matured and may appeal to a larger demographic.

I think David C is going to be a much sought after vocalist and do believe his album with Michael will be a hit. BOth appeal to both the same and different listeners so they should be able to pull in a wider group to buy the album. HOWEVER, in the article I read it never said that Michael would be SINGING on the album just writing the songs. Only time will tell.

Now, to be honest, I don't really care who wins. It's the journey I find interesting to watch, but what happens after doesn't really matter to me. As I have mentioned before, except for their appearances on Idol as guests, I have not listened to the music of any of the winners.

I was 100 percent behind Taylor Hicks winning, but have not been impressed with what he has done since. I have heard bits and pieces but found Taylor was a singer I had to SEE to enjoy ... just hearing the words doesn't have the same impact.

Though I am probably in the minority I have always felt that way about Tom Jones. I love to WATCH him perform, but something is lackng when I tried to just listen to his music.

All of these people competing today, I feel the same about. I like to see them grow as the season progresses, but really don't care what happens when it is over

Go to Carrie Underwoods website and click on the link that plays her music and you will be impressed. ;)

I am going to suprise anyone who has been reading this (IS anyone still reading?) that I believe David Cook was the winner last night. David A was good, but Cook hit two out of three. David A was consistant but as Randy said they were not 'wow' perfomances.

The Davids SHOULD be fighting it out next week.

Syesha left me out in the cold. I didn't care for any of her songs.

As usual, I think Syesha totally kicked David A.'s butt on 2 out of 3 performances. I think the F2 should be Syesha and David Cook. However, I'm sure it will be the 2 Davids in the end.

I thought it was brilliant on Simon's part to pick the Roberta Flack song for David Cook. I think Randy really screwed Syesha with his choice. I thought she sang it very well, but he really didn't challenge her.

Don't even get me started on the drunk's choice for David A. His last two songs were disasterous as well. He killed Dan Fogleberg.

Yeah, somebody agrees with me! From TV Guide on-line:

TV Guide

: David Archuleta Must Go!

David Archuleta by Ray Mickshaw/FoxJeers to David Archuleta for overstaying his welcome on American Idol. Sure, the kid can sing in tune, but he has zero personality. His neutered version of Chris Brown's "With You" was, quite simply, embarrassing. And was that flop sweat or just a weird pattern on his shirt during his super-sappy performance of Dan Fogelberg's "Longer"? Maybe Archuleta lacked confidence without his stage dad around, but the 17-year-old seemed even more prepubescent than usual this week. Syesha Mercado stumbled by picking the old-fashioned "Fever," but that penguin song was not her fault. She deserves a spot in the finals alongside if-there's-a-God winner David Cook. Sorry, Archie!

I think the ideal final two would have been Michael and David C .... but then would they still be planning on colaborating?

Probably. Although, I really like both of them their styles mirror each other a little too much. I like the diversity.

Yeah. I hope David Cook is able to rearrange the sappy Idol ballad that the winner of the song writing contest will create. Although, after hearing him sing Roberta Flack, I'm sure he'll be able to make it special.

I actually get a liitle uncomfortable watching David A when he's not singing. For someone with that much talent and level of accomplishment, he seems oddly afraid and overly surprised by praise. I know I should just be saying humble - and humble is good ... just something seems off to me.
