After last week’s totally mind blowing elimination of Sabrina, will the celebrities take it up a notch to make sure they remain in the competition? Tonight each couple will have two dances: one ballroom and one Latin. Helio and Julianne begin the ballroom round with the Tango. Whether they dance well or not they both look fantastic dressed in black. I really enjoyed this dance. I felt entertained and was sorry to see the dance come to an end. I gave them a 9, but what did the judges think? Len began by saying he loved Helio’s jacket. Then he said they are in a race to the finals and they need to drive and attack. He felt Helio had his arm too far out. Bruno said it was thunder and lightning. Technically it needs polish Carrie Ann like it and thought it a nice twist on the Tango. Bruno and Len gave them 8’s and Carrie Ann gave them a 9 for a total of 25/30 For the Latin round Helio and Julianne danced the Samba. This was a fun dance to watch and I loved the hip action Helio brought to the floor. His movements flowed and the chemistry was great. I gave them a 9. Bruno said he liked seeing Helio go bananas. He was back in his comfort zone and his smile lights up the room. Carrie Ann said he was more at ease and she likes his Latin dances Len put his foot in his mouth, sort of when he said just because someone is from Brazil doesn’t mean they can do a Latin dance just like being from Texas doesn’t make you a good president. Of course he said it was just a joke and felt Helio’s dance was fantastic. All three judges gave him 9s for a total of 27/30 Giving them a 52/60 for the night. Marie and Jonathan perform the Quick Step for their ballroom number. I must admit I am not a fan of the Quick Step but Marie and Jonathan nailed it. It was entertaining and a lot of fun to watch. I gave them a 10. Bruno said they got it right. Carrie Ann said their technique was wonderful and it wasn’t campy Len said entertainment runs through Marie’s veins and there is a twist in each of her dances. It was a great twist in this one. Bruno and Len gave her 9s and Carrie Ann gave her a 10 for 28/30 For their Latin routine they did the cha cha cha. It wasn’t as robust as their first dance but I still liked it and gave them an 8. Carrie didn’t feel there was enough contact Len said it was a good effort and he liked it but there was too much messing about Bruno said it was good and she worked the Latin but peaked earlier. All three judges gave her 8s for a total of 24/30 making their total for the night 50/60 The fighting duo, Maks and Mel first dance the Fox Trot in the ballroom part of the competition. I was not crazy about this performance. It seemed sub par for someone who received a perfect score last week. I gave them a 7. Carrie Ann felt it was out of sync Len said she had good arms but the footwork was off Bruno said her footwork needs finesse All three judges gave her 8s for a score of 24/30 Their Latin dance was the Pasa Doble and they were tremendous. Awesome, spectacular, incredible and perfection. I gave them a 10 Len began by said it had passion and aggression and then went speechless Bruno said it was adrenaline charged dominatrix Carrie Ann said they kicked some serious booty All three judges gave them 10s for a perfect 30/30 giving them a total for the night of 54/60 I am sorry to say the next couple, Jane and Tony did not thrill me. In the past we have said certain dancers seem to dance the same to all dances and that is how I am beginning to feel about Jane. Whether it is the British air about her I am not sure, but I don’t enjoy watching her dance. Their ballroom number was the Quick Step, which for me wasn’t that Quick. I gave them a 7. Len said she has lovely grace but there was a total lack of body contact Bruno said a touch of class as always but the details need work Carrie Ann said the technique was fine but they need to excite them it can’t just be good. All three judges gave them 8s for a total of 24/30 For their Latin number they performed the cha cha cha. There was no WOW in this dance. It was too sedate and dance schoolish. I gave them a 7. Bruno said it was very well executed Carrie Ann said they did well and Jane looks amazing Len he likes basic work but it lacked fire. Bruno and Len gave them 9s and Carrie Ann gave them an 8 for 26/30. Their night’s total 50/60 Jennie and Derek did the Viennese Waltz for the ballroom competition. I wasn’t feeling anything during this dance. It was just bland. I gave them an 8 Bruno said sometimes she is so fluid and it is great when she gets it right but she needs to maintain. Carrie Ann said she took two steps back this week and had broken lines. Len put more blame on Derek saying it was not technically good and not enough Viennese Waltz content. Carrie Ann and Len gave them 8s and Bruno gave them a 9. Total of 25/30 Last week’s Jennie returned dead on for their Latin routine, the Rumba. It was incredible and a joy to watch. I gave them a 10 Carrie Ann said she came back, beautiful line, way to come back Len said the romance was good the dance fantastic Bruno said it was incredibly satisfying, well paced. Her best dance. Carrie Ann and Len gave her 9s and Bruno gave her a 10 for a total of 28/30 for the dance and 53/60 for the night. The sexiest couple in the competition, Cameron and Edyta did the Quick Step for their ballroom portion of the competition. It was lively, fun to watch and entertaining. I gave them an 8. Carrie Ann said Cameron was very wired, she loves his exuberance, but it was a little wild. Len said he needs to calm down. He didn’t like the beginning or the ending. Bruno said Mr Flash made mad dash and forgot steps. The three judges gave them 8s for 24/30 Their Latin number was the Jive. I don’t know all that much about dancing but I always thought the Jive was an American dance. I’d have never guessed it was Latin. Having said that, I love it. It was exciting, energizing and extremely entertaining. I gave them a 9. Len said it was fantastic, a great job Bruno said there were more kicks than a rodeo, right on it Carrie Ann said it was a really fine dance. All three gave them 9s for 27/30. For the night they scored 51/60 At the end of the night the leader board looked like this: Mel and Maks – 54/60 Jennie and Derek – 53/60 Helio and Julianne – 52/60 Marie and Jonathan – 52/60 Cameron and Edyta – 51/60 Jane and Tony – 50/60 Once again I believe Jane should go home, but it just might be Cameron. Of course after last week’s totally unpredictable results, you’ll have to come back tomorrow night to find out who goes home this week. |

Great recap Chairo. I think it will be Helio and Cameron in the bottom 2 with Cameron going home. |

It is really hard to make even an educated guess. With what happened last week people will either flood the phonelines with their votes or they won't vote at all because they feel is will make to difference in the end. Jane should go home ... Marie should follow soon, though I do find Marie entertaining. Cameron and Jane SHOULD be in the bottom two this week ... let's wait and see |
