The stars are ready to get their dance on for week three. As usual the stars are introduced at the beginning of the show and all ten couples look fabulous. This week the stars will dance the Tango or Jive.

First up are Sabrina and Mark with their Jive. She wants to regain the top spot. During practice she questions Mark’s choreography because she wants to “wow” the audience. However, she decides to trust him. (Good move there Sabrina…we’ve seen what happens when the stars try to question what the pros want to do.)
lpatrick’s comments: This girl is so precise with her movements. There were a ton of turns to this Jive and it was very cutesy, but it didn’t “wow” me.
LP’s score: 8
Judge’s comments: Len- Your best dance so far; Bruno- Sismeic (that’s what he said) event, you give 110%; Carrie Ann- Youthful and vibrant.
Judge’s score: Carrie Ann- 9 Len- 9 Bruno- 9 = 27/30

Cameron and Edyta are ready to deliver their Tango. He wants to break out of the pack. Cam decides he needs more practice and brings Edyta to the East Coast to the set of “All My Children.”
lpatrick’s comments: Starts out playing Clark Kent with the glasses and newspaper. I so want him to do well, but again, I’m not “wowed.” The dance was smooth and footwork was decent but I feel he can do so much better.
LP’s score: 7
Judge’s comments: Carrie Ann- It was a G-rated Tango, but I liked it; Len-Great posture, but lacked character of Tango; Bruno- Lady killer tonight, Alpha Male.
Judge’s score: Carrie Ann- 8 Len- 7 Bruno- 8 = 23/30

Mark and Kym want to make the audience happy with their Jive. Since there will be a lot of jumping, Kym is concerned about Mark and that hip. He comments that practice hurts.
lpatrick’s comments: You could tell the dance was hard for him. He was out of time with the music and he didn’t seem to be as “in” the dance as he has all the others. It was just ok for me.
LP’s score: 6
Judge’s comments: Bruno- More in control, lost it but you are going the right way; Carrie Ann- Watch your shoulders, don’t dance with your face; Len- Kym, great job, Mark you come out and entertain but lost timing.
Judge’s score: Carrie Ann- 6 Len- 7 Bruno- 7 = 20/30

Jennie and Derek feel they have something to prove with their Tango. Derek wants to build up her confidence again. Jennie is very emotional and wants to use that in her dance.
lpatrick’s comments: Jennie’s kicks are great. The dance was very passionate and they pulled it off. However, I did not like the music and it took away from the dance for me.
LP’s score: 8
Judge’s comments: Len- That’s the mood I like to see; Carrie Ann- (gives them a standing O) Very well done; Bruno- Come back of the season.
Judge’s score: Carrie Ann- 9 Len- 8 Bruno- 9 = 26/30

Mel and Maks are ready to Jive. Mel is a little concerned about the moves Maks wants to pull off, especially the splits. He takes her to Vegas where he is doing the choreography for a show. After they practice she comments they are going to nail it.
lpatrick’s comments: What was this girl worrying about. I loved her in the dance. She bounced all over that dance floor and pulled off not one but two splits. Great kicks, great stops and high energy…her best so far in the season.
LP’s score: 9
Judge’s comments: Bruno- Bouncing Bombshell, kept control, good job; Len- Came out with guns blazing, the B is for bounce…your best yet; Carrie Ann- Totally agree with what they said.
Judge’s score: Carrie Ann- 9 Len- 9 Bruno- 9 = 27/30

Cheryl tells Wayne they are going to have to sell their Tango. She tells him he’s going to have to stay into character. Wayne takes her to his ranch to help bring out his cowboy.
lpatrick’s comments: Wayne looked the part…but he still didn’t dance the part. They used a fan for part of the dance and it was so distracting to me. I saw Wayne counting his steps. It was another bad dance that had me going aaaggghhh.
LP’s score: 5
Judge’s comments: Carrie Ann- Love the look, stayed in character but Cheryl was leading you; Bruno- Errol Flynn meets Captain Hook, you have to lead; Len- Great mood, but you focused so much on the character the dance disappeared.
Judge’s score: Carrie Ann- 6 Len- 6 Bruno- 6 = 18/30

Floyd and Karina are ready to Jive. He feels there’s no dance he can’t do. Karina feels he will do well with the Jive because of the footwork needed. She feels like he’s a whole new person, ready to attack each new dance.
lpatrick’s comments: If we scored only on what a star brought to the dance…Floyd would probably get a ten from me on this one. However, he continues to hold his body in that boxer stance instead of holding himself open. His footwork was good and he’s really throwing himself into this competition.
LP’s score: 7
Judge’s comments: Len- You can dance, during practice you wear tennis show, you need to wear your dance shows to help with pointing your feet; Carrie Ann- You went for it, pay attention to the details; Bruno- So much potential, just polish.
Judge’s score: Carrie Ann- 7 Len- 7 Bruno- 7 = 21/30

After an emotional week for Jane, she and Tony will dance the Tango. After last week’s performance Jane found out that her mom passed away. Jane tells that her mom knew that dancing was a great passion for her so she will continue on and bring her intensity of passion. She and Tony will dedicate this dance to her mother.
lpatrick’s comments: Ok, so yeah, I cried through the whole thing. The dance had it all. It was passionate and beautiful. Jane’s posture and their holds were so strong. Loved her look for the dance also.
LP’s score: 9
Judge’s comments: Bruno- Proud to have you back, Silent Movie Queen, fantastic; Len- Tango is the Actor’s Dance, you were haughty and proud, it could have been on pay-per-view, Carrie Ann- (crying) Special moments of your heart and soul, every moment a beautiful picture.
Judge’s score: Carrie Ann- 9 Len- 9 Bruno- 9 = 27/30

Helio and Julianne are ready to jump and Jive. Helio comments that being a racecar driver makes him very competitive. He thinks the Jive will be a big challenge and he’ll have to pay close attention to the details. He’s pushing his body to the limit.
lpatrick’s comments: Once again, great choreography from Julianne. If I gave points for biggest grin, Helio would get a ten but alas… I can’t do that. He seemed off tonight. I didn’t feel he was as “into” the dance as he has been in the past.
LP’s score: 7
Judge’s comments: Carrie Ann- The fun you show is contagious, some moments you were open, some closed; Bruno- Unique charmer, not clean and precise; Len- Love to watch, mess up a little.
Judge’s score: Carrie Ann- 8 Len- 8 Bruno- 8 = 24/30

Finally it’s the Jonny and Marie show. They’ll close the night with the Tango. Jonathan thinks she will do well because she is the “Queen of Drama.” Brother Donny comes to practices to help cheer Marie on. He asks how Jonathan finally got her to dance like that because he’s been trying for years.
lpatrick’s comments: Great drama, great dance. Marie can move really well. The dance/choreography was very cute and suited her well.
LP’s score: 9
Judge’s comments: Len- So much fun, At the beginning I didn’t think you would be good, but I was wrong; Carrie Ann- You were like Lucille Ball (in a good way) and it worked for you; Bruno- Mistress of Characters, Meryl Streep of Dance.
Judge’s score: Carrie Ann- 9 Len- 8 Bruno- 9 = 26/30

Looks like the ladies have this night all wrapped up. The four top spots go to Mel and Jane (both with 27) followed by Jennie and Sabrina (holding on to 26).
