There is no Survivor Live this season. There is an article by Dalton Ross at EW.com regarding the first episode and his pick for this seaso's winner (that's hysterical by the way) and he states that they have put the kibosh on Survivor Live this season. I really loved this show and Dalton. I could have done with a lot less Morasca, but that's just my humble opinion. |

Yep, the article was pretty funny -- especially his rant on the nonreligious woman who had a personal relationship with Jesus. Although I found it to be a hoot, I think it is entirely possible she claims she isn't religious because she doesn't belong to an "organized" religion, and instead considers herself "spiritual." JMO. Still funny, though. Will be interesting to see how his prediction of winner pans out. |

There is a big difference between being religious and being a Christian or spiritual. I understood what she was saying and agreed with her. My definition of being religious is sort of what Jameka was doing on BB8. Talking the talk but not walking the walk. It's going to church, getting involved but making that your 'god' rather than God. It's wanting to be seen as being perfectly all together. Being a Christian or being spiritual is a personal relationship with God that has nothing to do with drawing attention to how great you are. It's showing by example which will always speak louder than words. I know religious people who are not spiritual. My two cents |

Chairo, pretty much what I was saying. I wouldn't want to be considered religious, because, as you say, Jameka is the poster child for those who claim to be religious. It's all about show. True spirituality does not need or desire the trappings of "religion." You're very clever, cookie. |

I don't have a problem with the Jameka's or Leslie's beliefs in any way shape or form. I don't like when people use it as a reason for not doing something or, alternatively, doing something. In other words, Jameka telling Dick that "there was a reason Jen pulled her ball out of the bag" and that God had pre-ordained the winner of BB was where she took a left turn. Leslie, kind of outted herself when she was put on the spot by Jeff. I think most people will forget about it if she doesn't use her "spirituality" to advance herself in the game. I think she's seen on past seasons how uncomfortable people are with religion...especially in a game where you need to be a little left of center to win. |

Yep, me too. No problem with spirituality. Religion, however, is usually used as an excuse for doing something, as you say, fg. It should be between the individual and their higher power; not used as a battering ram against others. The religious use their "relationship with God" all the time, but scream bloody murder when those who don't believe the same way call them on it. |
