The King Posts: 855 Group: Admin Member #6 Joined: February 20, 2005	I am somewhat glad Dick won when all is said and done. Better strategist, but still play more rude then he had to. The AP twist was the best part of the show, Eric was white as a ghost. In the end it was a great season, can't wait for Survivor.

LOVED the reveal of America's Player - interesting they didn't mention the money that he won, though - I bet that the reaction of the HGs would have been different!

I loved the expressions on the faces of the HG's when this was revealed. One thing I am not so sure I agree with however is that America decided on the power four alliance. Dick approached Eric not knowing about the AP twist. So it was a good move on his part. The fact it came into reality was America's choice by instructing Eric not to vote Dick out. However the plan was all Dick's It was great to see some of the past contestants. I am very happy with the way things turned out. Dick played the better game, Daniele won the most competitions. But remember that didn't win the game for Janelle either. I don't think Daniele would have gone as far as she did without her dad, however I think Dick would have been a good contender even if Daniele wasn't there. They complimented each others game play quite well. This was the year of making history in BB ... what will they do to top this next year?

Daniele is trying to play it off as though she's just happy she was in the finals with her dad when we all know the truth. :rolleyes: One interesting thing that I learned was that somebody told D&D last night that some internet groupies are paying for a vacation for Nick and Daniele to take. Good gravy! I'm sure whining at him while they tour Europe is going to just bring them closer. It was a great ending to a great season. Dick said it himself on House Calls that nobody else could use his strategy just like he couldn't use Dr. Will's (ED's choice for best player ever).

I couldn't bring myself to watch Daniele's because I don't think I could stand to watch her BS about her planning/scheming and not getting credit for any of it and how nice she is and how frustrating it was and how she was misunderstood by the jury...blah, blah, blah. The interviewer absolutely sucks. It must be his first time ever because you can't hear a lot of his questions because he doesn't speak into his own mic, but some of his questions are good. He even throws a "christian" shot at Jameka. Amber's just proves how truly delusional she is and you can tell Dick is still floating somewhere in the stratosphere. LOL I'm trying to find more stuff about the wrap party, but so far I'm coming up empty.

Umm... yeah, Dick approached Eric, but that was a move of desperation... that particular move was no better than the move that Carol made in week one to try and have Amber evicted instead of her, by going to everyone and asking for one vote, or what Joe did the week he was evicted... the only difference was that Eric took the deal, and he said it himself on the finale that Eric would NOT have taken the deal if it wasn't for America's Player. Dick really had nothing to do with that whatsoever, and if he gets credit for that, then you need to give Joe and Carol credit (among many others) for making an "amazing move".

There are somethings ... like the deal with Dick, that in the DR, Eric approved of. Others he didn't and made only a half hearted effort to complete them (like giving Jessica the silent treatment) Eric was supposed to get people to keep Dick that week. There was nothing in America's assignment that said he had to make a deal with him. The fact is Eric saw the advantage to keeping Dick over Dustin. He could trust Dick a lot more than Dustin to get him farther in the game. Same with Amber's eviction. He wanted her gone, Jessica didn't. Saying on live TV he would have kept her over Zack ... for him it was a 50 50 thing. It didn't matter which left. It did matter to Jessica. I just accept that with it all over, being the AP player will give Eric the opportunity to blame any thing he did on America. My two cents

(However, I agree with chairo on this one :giggle:) I was just surfing the internet for more info about the wrap party (it's tonight by the way) and found a Petition to Kick Dick Out of BB House. 1000+ people had signed it. They must be stewing about his win somewhere. Hey King, you know anything about this? Just kidding...seriuosly, I am. It's exactly how I felt the year that Maggie won. yuck

My two cents He made the deal with Dick because he realized that America was turning on him (giving him much more difficult tasks - a la giving Jessica the cold shoulder)... Dick had absolutely nothing to do with it other than somehow making people like him enough to turn on their autovoters and vote for four hours straight.

She's giving Dick credit for having hte insight to align himself with Eric and Jessica and to strike the deal. Eric may have know what America wanted, but Dick was clueless. He's said on countless interviews now that he assumed he was the most hated person in BB history. He could have gone the route of Carol, Joe and Kail by trying to get one vote at a time, but he was clever and strategic enough to align himself with a strong duo who was proving to be a threat to the Donato aliance. He also was smart enough to realize that even though Jessica was the better player at the challenges she was easily swayed by Eric's salesman-like pitch every week. Yes, it was absolutely the viewing and voting audiences vote that kept him there, but Eric himself said it became obvious that we were aligning with the Denato's because Dick was the only thing that kept this train on the tracks this summer and we gave him credit for it. Had it not been for the Dick at Night show and his ability to motivate people by scream and cursing at them, this show would have been a video of a freakin' girl scout summer camp! Nobody on this cast was at all interesting to me other than Dick. The rest were your typical, run-of-the-mill reality crapfest!

I will add one thing here, it was the combinations of HG's that made this show interesting. However we would have tired very early of Amber's crying, Jameka's preaching, Jen's self absorbtion, Eric's lifted eyebrow, Jessica's catering to Eric's every whim, and all the other predictable and boring things that happened. Let's face it the Dick VS Jen feud kept people watching. Viewership dropped when Jen left ... I promise it would have dropped much more if Dick had been voted out instead of Joe or Dustin. Joe might have kept the pot stirred but he wasn't intersesting. Dustin was as self absorbed as Jen but in a different way. He strutted it and Jen said it. The entertainment on this season was all wrapped up in two people and that was Dick and whoever happened to be on his list at the moment. Agree or disagree, it doesn't matter. With out Dick Donato this would have been a very very boring season. I read his blog on his web site and FG is right .. Dick had no idea he was popular ... he was sure he was the most dispised person to ever play the game. SO his actions weren't done to be liked by America, they were strictly to win the game AND HE DID. BTW I invited him to our site. Hope he checks it out. You have to have a myspace page to respond to his blogs or request addition to his friends list. There are so many it will probably take him a year just to wade through them. I hope he starts with the last page, where I am and works his way to the first LOL
