What surprised me, even though he shortchanged them both weeks when captain, all of JD's crew remained loyal. What surprised me more was the look on Jay's face when Capt A didn't stick to "Jays" plan. Then I thought back over how Cheryl being nominated came about and realized that had never been part of the new Captains plan but completely that of Jay. Azmyth wanted JD gone and he let Jay influence him to put up Cheryl. Though I sort of like Jay it was also sweet to see him 'lose' a thousand dollars to Sean. The manipulator was out manipulated by the former captain. Also now that JD has lost his position I find I like him again. I wonder though if he will be elected to that position in the future having made enemies (money wise) of the rest of the crew. At first I applauded Capt A's decision to equally divide the money but then I realized it really was a stupid plan. It's great to be liked but I think he could have accomplished the same thing by being a little less generous. My humble plan would have been to keep 1/4 of the take because as Capt I do deserve something for leading my team to victory. Then I'd have take maybe a third of what was left and divided it between my two mates and Louie who retrieved the treasure equally. (This give everyone incentive to work harder on the expeditions) and then divided what was left between everyone else. It would still have been more of a split then they got under JD .... but then this is just how I would have done it ... having never been a pirate or on a reality show, but as you know us loyal watchers always see the perfect way that the idots in the game keep missing LOl Can't wait to read your recap Funnygirl.

Back on board Posts: 333 Group: Member Member #502 Joined: November 5, 2005	I agree with you, chairo, that A could have possibly been a little less generous with the money and achieved the same result. He's pretty much guaranteed that they will be happy with him as captain, but he also lost what may very well be his only chance to gather up some earnings. There is just no guarantee that future captains will be so generous as he was. I find it somewhat surprising that they are consistantly blackspotting and voting out weaker contestants. Sure, no one wants to end up with a weaker person on your crew when you are on an expedition, but there is an equal chance that the other crew may get the strongest competitors as well....

The King Posts: 855 Group: Admin Member #6 Joined: February 20, 2005	I am not really that into this show, but the guy who ran under the bamboo to hold it was pretty gutsy. The new Captain suddenly gaining an accent was so annoying and I think his whole team realized they made a mistake lol Some of these people take this game too seriously, like the comment about sending his blood to his mother or something like that. Maybe back in the day that was considered alright, but when it's just a game it's a little over the top.
