Easin' into summertime... Posts: 3,514 Group: Writer Member #109 Joined: April 25, 2005	After a very long recap, we finally get down to the new episode. I have to say before I truly begin, I'm writing this from a tree. Those of you who don't know me, will understand very shortly why this is. After The Shock Wore Off The cast is finally relaxed knowing that John is gone and they were not the first to go. The captain and his two officers discuss what is going to happen now that the cancer is gone from the ship. JD (the Captain) tells his two henchmen that they need order on the ship. He first calls in Sean and tells him he wants him to cook. Apparently, Sean has a penchant for cooking. JD is trying to gain favors from members of the crew. The crew needs a leader and it couldn't be one of his own. He names Jay his bosan. Jay tells us that the bosan is somewhat like a union leader. He gets the orders from the captain and gives them to the crew. JD tells him that Jay will be his tie to the crew. Cheryl reminds us that she's a Deputy District Attorney (in case we forgot) and she's very aware when people are lying and can be trusted. She believes that Jay needs to be controlled. Jay tells us that he's playing both sides. He's committed to being a pirate and all he's after is the loot. The Crew Gets to Work Jay starts the crew off by hoisting the flag. We get to hear from Kendra which means she'll be an integral part of this evening's show. Ooh, Azmyth finally speaks. He tells us he's looking out for his own self. Sean is our cook and he's put together grool for the crew but he tells us that he'd rather be eating mahi-mahi steaks. Alexis is the whiner on this show and she can't eat the grool and it's not fair that tte Captain gets to live large. Pan over to Sean who tells us he's peraring a mini-feast for the Captain which includes steak and bacon as well as apples. He dressed the plate beautifully as well. Something tells me Sean may have been better off on Hell's Kitchen. Now we hear from Christian (the "Nigerian Nightmare" of his football playing days). Christian informs us that if he were captain then everybody would eat the same. Because happy crew is a hard working crew. Pan back to JD who's stuffing himself with the bacon. Next we see Jay imploring his team to get the deck scrubbed. He's walking that tightrope of being one of them, but being in charge and keeping his captain happy. Louie informs us how hard it is to keep a pirate ship running. For the crew, it can be grueling. Jay gives a little attitude about his position and lack of food. Louie explains that because all JD does is eat and relax that by the time the expiditions come they are all wore out from keeping the ship running and JD's all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. (ya think?) The Challenge Back to the chest of Zazibar. Our host hands the captain the keys and tells him to try the lock. However, JD is above all tasks including that of opening a lock with a key and he tells Kendra to do it. For the first time, I find myself irked by JD's behavior. (He still looks hot in the hat, all shirtless and authoritative. sorry, I got away from myself). Kendra opens the chest and pulls out two more maps. This means 2 crews. Our Host tells us that from this point forward the Captain and his two officers will lead the black team. They will pick marbles to divide the teams. Black Crew:JD, Ben, Jay, Louie, Azmyth, Nessa, Cheryl, Krista and Jupiter Red Crew: Sean, Joy, Kendra, Christian, Alexis, Laurel and Jay. The master gunner hid this treasure. It's revealed the gunner had a love of trickery, puzzles and snakes! This is where I head to the highest point from the television. I know it's rediculous, but it's real and it's mine! Getting percehed on the biggest branch and steadying the laptop (thank God for Wi-Fi), I hit resume on the TiVo and get ready for what's to come. :shifty DVM tells us that the teams must swim to the island through shark-infeseted water, run up the coast until they find the passage way that leads to the sabotage point. They must then run up a steep grade to find the snake pit. The deadly snakes guard the tools needed to find the hidden treasure. Everybody is almost at shore, but Kendra is lagging and Alexis has to go back to get her. She informs us she could have beat EVERYBODY to shore because she's a strong swimmer, but she needs to save "Little Miss Water Wings". This gives the black team a huge lead to the sabotage point. :rolleyes: Azmyth takes the lead for the black crew and finds the trail. They get to the sabotage point and JD helps him pull hte rope to set off the sabotage. The red team is just now making it to the shore. THe black team is now heading up the steeps grade and Louie tells us that it was in deed a steep grade. Sean explains what we can already see at the sabotage point. THe black team makes it tot the snake pit and Azmyth is nice enough to point out all the snakes. Louis was thinking there's a croc in the snake pit. They read the clue again slowly and decided exatly where they need to be and they are all scared of the snakes. The red team finally makes the steep grade and Christian is clearly suffering. Jay is bitching about how slow hie is. The girls on the black crew are all trying to figure out a way to get into the snake pit without encountering any snakes. In the meantime, the captain is standing around with his thumb lodged places. :no: Nessa is first in the water. Azmyth is keeping her safe from the snakes and then manages to find the puzzle. Louie mentions that JD does nothing to help his team find the chest. The red team is held up by Joy who fell down, went boom and got an owie. She claims to have hurt her knee and the three guys on this crew figure she won't be able to run up the hill. Jay bitches about Joy falling. Sean picks up Joy and starts heading back up the hill. Louie and Azmyth figure out they need the altar to put the puzzle on which is actually an old school compass. While they begin their search the red team comes to the snake pit. This is where things get stupid for the red team. Sean jumps right in the water and Jay is right behind him. Christian is standing on the side-lines with a big stick protecting them from the snakes. Finally, the black team (meaning Azmyth) finds the treasure. It appears to be a bottle that a genie would hang out in. Azmyth gets to fire the gun signalling they found the treasure. The Reward Once the members swim back to the ship, the red crew heads below decks immediatley where Joy does the drama queen dance of the barely hurt. The black crew starts counting their money. Once it's laid out they find that there is $45,000. Half of this goes directly to JD. Half of the other half is split up between his officers. He can keep Cheryl and Ben or he can replace them with two new officers. He takes the smart route and keeps his officers and gains the loyalty of the two. So $11,250 is split between the two officers. The remaining quarter is shared between the crew which comes to $2,250 a piece. They are NOT happy. Below-decks the crew is bitching because the captain they elected took off with half the haul again and they got very little for their efforts. One of the red team members reminds Sean that he could make the captain's life miserable since he's the cook. In the Captain's quarters, JD brags about how he now has enough money to pay off his credit cards. Cheryl tells us her strategy is to go with te flow. She's comfortable as long as she's winning. JD is figuring out how to keep all of his crew happy with the black spot ceremony coming up. He decides to give the losing team $200 a piece. Alexis is pissed and Louie is back to going for the Captain. Next week see JD meet with Jay. He offers Jay $2,000 to be an informant. The captain assures Jay it's not a bribe, but Jay isn't an idiot. The captain and his officers meet to pick the three crew members who are to receive a black spot. The Captain tells his officers they need to do this in a way that makes the crew feel as if they have a say in what goes on. Ben suggests nominating those who were not an asset to the expeditions. After JD tells us that this one will be a heart-breaker, he slams down the three black marks to be dispersed. Pirate Court summons are distributed. Cheryl tells us that the nominees were chosen for physical reasons. THey believe the expeditions are the most important aspect of this game at this point because that's where the money is. Upon opening the summons, we found that Kendra, Joy and Christian got the black spot. Kendra: Believes the captain doesn't like her. Christian: Is not worried. He's faced situations like this before and he feels good about where he's at. (Who was filming this, Mr. Foreshadow? It was textbook!) Joy: Second time being nominated and her confidence level way down! She has to prove that she's still a competitor. One of the gals tells her to take hte wrap off of her knee! Of course, we have the obligatory talk of mutiny. We also get to see how the crew is divided. Jay is on Team Kendra and is out to get Christian. Louie is all about his BFF Christian. Joy has a few friends and is going to stay positive. Christian and Louie meet to figure out how to get rid of the Captain. The Nigerian Nightmare believes a change needs ot be made and he's the one to do that. Pirate's Court Captain speaks first. Kendra showed she wasn't as proficient in the water as they would like. Crhistian, even though he's a 270 pound teddy-bear his size could work against him. Joy, you injured yourself and you are only as fast as your slowest person. Kendra: Yes, I had a hiccup in the water yesterday, but weigh it against the fact hat once I hit land I didn't stop. Joy: There aint no bandage on the knee now. "I'm Joy and it aint time for me to go yet"! Christian: I love you guys, I lvoet his ship. Many people have been complaining about the money. If you choose me to be the captain, I will not take 50, 40, 30%,. I will make things even. Captain how will you run this ship? Captain: I'm not gonna respond to that. I say what I do, I do what I say. I think these guys are happy and I"m good with that. Louie is asked to respond and he says I'm getting enough to eat, but I want more money. The captain is sitting on $40,000. JD: It's less than that, I gave some of my money to my bosan. Jay: He gave me $1,000 and another $200. Kristin tells us she's frustrated by the $200 and found it to be demoralizing and a slap in the face. The ballots must be cast. I couldn't help but notice that as some of the crew makes their choices they look up at the captain. I think it's to make us feel as if they placed a vote against him, but it looks more like "i'm your servant" to me. Sean was the final vote and looking as cute as ever with his bandana on, his vote seals the fait of one. First, there are no mutiny ballots. The Captain is safe. Joy skated through. IT's between the big slow-poke on land and the little slow-poke in teh water. The person being set adrift is Christian. By one vote, he's set free. Jay is absolutely giddy and Louie is stunned. JD comes down to cut Christian adrift and Louie looks like he's going to burst into tears. Christian says he'll miss the guys he was there with. It was an adventure of a lifetime. Next week, looks a lot like this week, but Jay is doing the wheeling and dealing and a sabotage brings a crew down or something. Until then, why not register and let us know what you think?
