Very good tonight... Kenny "Never Been To Film School" Luby was by far the worst, but Replication Theory (the last one was excellent) as was Canadian Zack. His film was excellent. |

You missed it? It was really good! Two hours, and we got to see all the finalists' one minute comedy shorts. I'm working on the recap tonight, but it will be online tomorrow. |

I liked "Lucky Penny." I hated the "Blind Date" and "Wacky Cab Company" films. I hate, hate, HATE potty humor. ick. |

Yeah JB, I agree with you. I didn't like Wacky Cab Company at all, I thought it was a lousy excuse for a film, and Blind Date made me a bit uncomfortable. I enjoyed Lucky Penny, but I really liked the film about the safe lab, "Replication Theory", and the airport one. |

I also did not like "Please Hold"--I've seen that same thing done before on several TV shows and sketch shows, and "To Screw in a Light Bulb" that one missed the mark for me at least. There were several others that weren't my "cup of tea" but were probably produced ok--"Spaced Out" comes to mind... :\ |

I missed the first 45 minutes but will check out the ones I missed at the site. Of the ones I saw, I liked "Lucky Penny" and kind of liked the special effects one. The worst I saw so far were the bus one, :O, and that horrid screw in a lightbulb thing. And doofus really copped out by doing a movie preview rather than a short. I think he has talent, but unique it was not. I disagreed with the judges a bit on the airport one (I thought the ending was weak), and on the blind date one, it was really good with the only execution flaw being the ending... it was just a little much. |

Yeah, I think the ending ruined the Blind Date one, which was really good up to that point. |

I agree with the comments about "Blind Date" being ruined at the end. I didn't like the "Dating in the year 2007" either. I believe I've seen something very similar recently. I wasn't offended by the "Get a Rhoom" one either but I didn't particularly think it was a side-splitter either. |

I just went back to watch it the second time, and I see what the judges were saying about "Getta Rhoom". I really enjoyed it the first time through, but the second time through, I did realize that the guy seemed a little mentally challenged. |

I really liked Getta Rhoom, and until it was pointed out I didn't see anything wrong with the character. However I think everyone makes a little too much out of always being politically correct. If something is funny, it's funny and unless it is absolutely in poor taste on all levels I don't think we should worry so much about who we are offending. If you think about it everything will offend somebody if they want to take offense. Anyway I liked it |
