I'm okay with Kiki leaving she had a great run and she will do well after the tour. I would still love to see a diva show-down in the end. We haven't had an even finals since Rueben and Clay.

Opinionated Posts: 3,739 Group: Writer Member #317 Joined: August 14, 2005	Well his crew was once arrested in Cleveland .... since then I haven't heard anything about him ... think it was last summer or the fall before that .. can't remember (Reuben - was not out with them when they were arrested) Actually the talent of Clay and Reuben was very close but I have always believed that Clay won. All the experts, all the voters, all the predictions had Clay as the winner. And then all the confusion over votes. I just think the person they wanted to win, won, but Clay has been by far the more popular of the two and the one we still hear about. Makes me wonder why neither have been back on Idol ... at least not that I saw. I agree Lakisha will probably have a nice career. I believe all in the finals will. I just think if you are looking for an AMERICAN IDOL you go with the person who appeals to those who by the CD's or whatever they listen to these days. Tweens and teens and the 20-40 crowd buy most of these. They want Blake or Jordin and that's probably who they will get.

Granted, he was pitching Idol Gives Back, but he's in the audience all the time. Clay was on last year's finale' (remember the fanatic at the auditions who was gonna be the next Clay who looked like a taller version of him)? Actually, I (being of the matronly demographic) would be more inclined to buy Melinda's CD if she does R&B or jazz. Then again, I did just buy the new Avril CD for me and my kids because I love it so go figure.

I did here awhile back he was releasing and R&B album but I haven't seen it .. but again I haven't been looking. His winning in my humble opinion was a mistake. He had limited appeal ... just as Melinda and Lakisha do this year. Yes they appeal to us over the hill gang members but not to the demographic that buys the most music. Only Blake and Jordin fill that spot. Thanks for the memory jog Funnygirl, I do remember Clay being on last year ... AND NOT looking like Clay. Wasn't that the night he revealed his new look .. which wasn't well received by his fans. Reuben however I have not seen ... I didn't watch all of the special so that is probably why.

Sure, she's gonna mature and continue to improve as her voice grows with her, but she already has the personality and mental maturity of someone much older than 17. As with DWTS I think we have the best three finalist on Idol than we have had for a long time. From the looks of things we will have two females battling out for the title, though this group is so diverse and appeal to such a different set of fans, it is hard to know. I heard today that a lot of people are not voting for Melinda because they think she is a 'ringer' having been a professional singer, all be it a back up singer' for years. I think this will hinder her rather than help and I believe many think she will have a good career even if she doesn't win this. However Dialidol has her in the lead ... but they have been wrong before. I am still a Jordin fan and didn't change my mind afer last night. Blake was right on also. Melinda is just in a different stratosphere. However I find it uncomfortable to watch so of her 'acting' because it doesn't seem natural with her.

I was really angry until I found out a man lost his life when the tree that took out our power line also landed on his truck.
