 I wasn't very impressed with anyone tonight. I guess Rock isn't my thing. I did like Blake and Phil better than the others which surprised me. If I were to guess which two are going home I'd say Chris and Phil, but you just can't figure how America will vote most of the time

I still stand by Chris and Lakisha!! Chris should have been gone weeks ago and Lakisha may have done a fabulous job last night, but last week was horrific!!

My kids voted for Phil, Jordin and Melinda.

I do have to admit that I liked Blake's rendition last night. I was prepared to hate it and get all snotty about messing with a classic, but...well, it was a good club mix. That being said it was ROCK night!! Not good club mix night. :rolleyes:

 One thing we have to remember is that the results are going to be a combination of last night and last weeks voting. Based on that I see Chris, Lakisha and Phil in the bottom 3 with Chris and Lakisha in the bottom two face off. Chris should go but won't be surprised if it is Lakisha. We have two divas ... Jordan and Melinda, Lakisha is not necessary at the moment and will be gone eventually anyway.

On many sites, even with a not so great performance last night, Jordan has taken over 1st place with Blake a close second. (And I must agree Blake was awesome last night .. think in fact the best -- everyone else sounds like a copycat while Blake is always original and makes a song into his own interpretation.

Tony Orlando, Wayne Newton etc can get away with singing songs the same as the original atists but these kids need to stand out and make their own style.

From what I have been reading Melinda is even falling in the love ratings. Maybe because as good as she is she is still predictable and her wide eyed look of surprise every week is wearing thin. In candid conversations she is not like that. I was glad when Simon told her not to give him her look of surprise.

 As much as I love rock music, Bon Jovi is a pretty watered down pop-rock sound compared to the Aerosmiths, Velvet Revolvers, Hinders and Nickelbacks of the rock music world.

That being said, I thought Chris did a good job with a song that is a very good fit with his style and voice.

I felt for Jordin last night- it was pretty bad. It was obvious she knew it wasn't going well when she wouldn't turn that voice loose and it almost sounded restrained. Nonetheless, she's a star.

Not a fan of the Blake thing, whatever it may have been. I thought it was supposed to be "rock night." The kiddies may have enjoyed it but I'm just an old school guy who likes my rock and roll the way it was meant to be played- loud and hard.
