It's time to dance again. There will be a new dance plus our first group dance of the season. Let's talk about it all in here!

It was another great night on the dance floor. However, the judges are totally out of their head. They praise Billy Ray on his lack of ability to dance but what a great performer he is and then in the same breath, they tell John and Apolo they need to dance more and stop with all the "performance." BR didn't dance at all tonight. He walked through the steps once again. Plus they continue to be hard on Ian and I thought his Paso was very good. Laila and Maks stole the show for me. The girl has it all!!! I so enjoyed the group Swing. I really loved seeing them all get it ready. These guys are hilarious. And Laila throwing Maks and then carrying Apolo during the dance was a must-see. |

I agree that the group dance was really great! I thought that poor Heather Mills looked really bad doing it...her leg just wouldn't cooperate. |

I don't agree that Billy Ray was so bad. He did his own thing, which may not have been what the judges wanted but he had a good time. Okay this is a DANCE competition and he isn't going to win, but I give him credit for trying. It actually amazes me he is so bad when most actors seem to do okay. John was entertaining as usual but he also is not going to win. He is kept around because of the entertainment value for now. I agreed with the judges assessment of Ian. He seems out of touch. His holds and posture and arms really seemed strained and not natural. He just didn't seem to be having a good time, which enabled me to understand why the judges said he needed more of the Billy Ray FUN attitude. Laila was the best and Apolo a close second. Both are fun to watch and give at least the impression that they are enjoying what they are doing. Hence the difference between them and Ian. As for Heather is is past time for her to leave. I am so tired of the judges praising her for her efforts and difficult numbers. The fact is she is NOT supposed to be getting special consideration. The whole point was to show someone with her handicap could compete with the others. Tonight it will probably be John and Heather in the bottom. They will have to go before Billy Ray's fan base is not enough to keep him in the competition. Of course Ian could land there too if he doesn't step it up. I hope Heather is gone because I still enjoy watching John and Edyta. Yes this is a competition but we expect to be entertained too. When it gets to the final 4 or so that is when I expect to see only the best still running the race to victory. The group dance was great. Mistakes and all. That is what I mean by needing to be entertained. Of course this is just my 10 cents <--- inflation raised it from 2 cents |

Here's my $19.99 regarding last night's show: Best(*In a particular order. What's the use of having a list if you're not going to have order with it?) Apolo & Julianne: They had everything last night and he's proving to be everything that I, as the audience, is looking for in my entertainment! They get the top spot cuz Julianne's brother is a hotty.  Laila & Maks: A very close second. I love that Maks is not afraid to make fun of himself. If he would have brought his brother, they may have edged out Apolo & Julianne. Joey & Kim: They always entertain me so I have to go with their costumes. Not a big fan this week. JOey's is getting betters, but Kim's are sooo redundant. MIddle of the Road Ian & Cheryl: I think they only reason the judges were so hard on him last night is because he's got the steps down now he just needs to relax and let it fly. Something his is incapable of. Maybe if Cheryl let loose on the reins a little bit, he could loosen up a bit.  Bottom of the Barrell Billy Ray & Karrina: I still like this couple. Mostly because he's still trying and she's finally giving in to the fact that he'll never be Mario. They had fun, I loved their costumes and they entertained me. John & Edyta: It's like watching your grandpa dance with the hot chick at a wedding. He doesn't have the charisma of John O'Hurley or the charm of Jerry Springer, but he aint bad. Heather & Jonathan: This was hard for me because I think that Jonathan is a gifted choreographer. There isn't one routine that he's done I haven't appreciated. It's too bad that Heather's inability to follow through like a normal dancer kind of mucks it up, but apparently she's being judged on how well a woman with a prosthetic leg can do in this competition. :rolleyes: I'm a little bored with it now. I'm just hoping this frees up Jonathan to choreograph more of the dances the pros do.  I too loved the group dance!  If I hear another couple give us a rundown of their weekly itinerary and how they managed to squeeze in a couple of 15 minute practices between gigs and this is why we look like crap tonight, I'm going to scream. This isn't the first season!! You can't keep up, get off the dance floor! FGs bottom 2/elmination predictions: Heather & Jonathan and John & Edyta with Heather & Jonathan getting eliminated. PS: I absolutely adore Christian Perry (guy who choreographed the group routine). If you want to see him instruct a bit, catch reruns of Ballroom Bootcamp. I've also seen him in some competitions and he's absolutely phenomenal!! |

Best ever!!! FG I love what you all have to say. I think now I can scrap my recap for the week.  You guys are right about BR. He is entertaining. I just really expected to see more "dancing" from him. I really thought he might be able to capture some of those hot Latin dances and go with it. But I will surrender to the fact that he's just going to do his own thing. I loved that Maks showed that he has a funny side last night. Alot of people have called Maks arrogant, but hey, have you seen the guy. And his chest. :shifty |
