This was the first show that I've watched from this season, but I was sad to see Gina go. I always like to see the rocker chics make it far! |

Well, Gina going was a little shocking... but I was happy. I never liked her... I felt she was extremely arrogant, and not even all that great. If she was great, I might be able to excuse her arrogance. Anyway, I'm happy with this one. Heck, I'll be happy as long as the final three is Melinda, Lakesha and Sanjaya... give me the best and the worst... the others are mediochre and boring, I couldn't care less about them. |

Exactly as I called it yesterday- the bottom 3 exactly as I predicted as well as Gina's departure. My choice for next week's "mentor:" Marcel Marceau (famous mime). |

As soon as they showed the groups of 3 it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out instantly which was which. It was only a matter of time before Gina was gone, so it doesn't matter if it was sooner rather than later. But if America doesn't wake up and get rid of Sanjaya, he just might ride off into the sunset with the title. My pick for over all winner is Jordan. I think she has more universal appeal than any of the others. In my opinion I think Sanjaya is there STILL because people are fascinated about what he will do next and IF Simon would leave if he won. However I do not think Sanjaya would ever win. The one thing AI keeps a closely guarded secret is the vote count. So whether he got the most votes in the end or not, he will never win. |

Last night I had a bit of a flashback to when Jennifer Hudson got booted... I honestly got a little worried that LaKisha, Melinda and Jordin were the bottom three.... alas they were not. I was a little sad to see Gina go. I really thought it would be Phil. On the other hand, my husband pointed out to me why I actually like Haley.... I used to judge pageants... and she would have gotten a 10 at a MAO local! |

You're right about Jordin- she is exceptional because of the enire package. While Melinda and LaKisha are both outstanding vocalists, both pale in comparison to Jordin's personality, looks and just plain having fun. I do not for a minute believe last night was the "highest vote total" as stated by the host. I think the show is losing viewers simply because of the Sanjaya disaster and aside from that storyline, the show is really pretty boring. |

Quite frankly, if people actually voted the best "singers" into the top 12, Gina should have never made it passed 24. She was awful in those earlier rounds. PITCHY PITCHY PITCHY!!! There have been quite a few comments about Gina trying out for Rock Star...she did and, like Chris Daughtry, never got a call0-back. I would purchase a CD of Melinda's, but I would actually pay to see Jordin in concert as well as purchase her CD. |

I wouldn't buy any of these people's cds, or even buy their 99 cents singles. Now that Gina has gotten the boot, I really won't be looking forward to the show as much. :/ (She wasn't THAt good, but she had a nice voice) Lakisha has been growing on me, but she ignored Tony Bennett's advice and that was pretty crappy. Jordin is ok, but her Hey Baby performance was just bad, and this last week I wasn't jumping out of my seat. MEH. |

I'll repeat my opinion. Everyone is going to be eliminated until we get to the top 4 or 5 so it doesn't really matter who goes. It seems obvious unless the viewing public does something stupid, Lakisha, Melinda, Jordan and Blake will be the finalists to beat. If Sanjaya wins, I am not sure I'd watch the show anymore since it will have be come a popularity contest instead of a singing contest. I wasn't botherd seeing Gina go, nor will I be bothered to see any of the others leave unless one of the above mentioned. The children are keeping Sanjaya in and I believe the armed services are keeping Phil in. There is no reason for either of them to still be there. Sanjaya has some entertainment value (Hated his hair cut) but Phil offers nothing of interest. We must all remember that better singers didn't make the top 12 and that is totally on the judges. They are the ones who gave us who the percieved to be the top performers. They were wrong except for the ones mentioned. |
