HOMETOWN
OYSTER BAY, NY

AGE
26

OCCUPATION
3-TIME OLYMPIC ICE HOCKEY PLAYER

Angela, 26, grew up in Los Angeles, California and Harper Woods, Michigan. She graduated cum laude with a degree in government from Harvard University, where she was an NCAA First Team Academic All-American as well as one of the top eight student athletes in the entire NCAA in 2004. A star player on the U.S. Olympic Ice Hockey Team, Angela won a Gold medal in 1998, a Silver medal in 2002 and a Bronze medal at the 2006 Olympics. She was the first woman non-goalie to play professional men's hockey in North America, playing for the Tulsa Oilers alongside her brother, Bill, and also earning a place in the Hockey Hall of Fame as the first brother-sister duo to play pro hockey together. She helped the U.S. capture gold by scoring the tournament-winning goal at the 2005 World Championships, was voted the USA's Women's Player of the Year in 2003 and 2004, and was ranked the #1 female hockey player in the world by "The Hockey News" in 2003. In addition to her extraordinary athletic accomplishments, Angela is the founder and president of a girl's hockey school; the author of "Breaking the Ice," her inspirational autobiography; and the director of the New York Islanders' Project Hope - an organization that provides young Chinese athletes with access to educational opportunities. In addition, she is currently training for the 2007 World Championships with Team USA as well as the 2010 Olympics. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, music, coaching hockey and volunteering. Angela says, "I should be the next Apprentice because I achieved success on a world platform as a result of my strong work ethic, determination and commitment - the same traits needed to success in business."

"Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it?
Success means working hard to achieve a goal so at the end of the day you have absolutely no regrets.

Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem.
Investing when the market is good and having the resilience to hold on when it takes a downturn. I have had to hold onto several investments when everyone was getting out. I have learned that over time the market will always rebound back.

What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates?
You have to be creative on tasks - think outside of the box. Previous winners have always listened to the group but have gone out on a limb when appropriate.

Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice?
Past performance predicts future performance. I have already demonstrated that if you work hard you can be the best in the world and I plan to take that mentality to the business world.

What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles?
The beaches, the attitude, and the amount of things to do. There are always great restaurants, clubs, and shows to see.

What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic."
The fact that everything is so spread out.

What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice?
The living situation... it really surprised me.

UP CLOSE

What's your marital/parental status?
No ring, no kids.

If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why?
Erin Brockovich with Julia Roberts, because she saw an injustice and worked hard to fight for a good cause.

What are your three favorite albums of all time?
"Achtung Baby" by U2
"Under the Table" and "Dreaming" by the Dave Matthews Band
"Give Up" by The Postal Service

What are your three favorite books of all time?
"Clash of Civilizations" by Samuel Huntington
"Power of One" by Bryce Courtenay
"Breaking the Ice" by Angela Ruggiero

What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump?
World travel, music, coaching girls' hockey, and writing.

Judging from her favorite music, I'm going to absolutely despise her. U2? Come on. Just in general, I'm not impressed. I say she'll be gone by half time. She seems very one dimensional - not much to her aside from hockey, business, or a mixture of the two.
*Insert saying that I think is funny here*

The fact that she was voted in by the public during the Olympics last year, I think that she won't last very long. This is not her field.

BTW, bored, a lot of them like U2
