Previously, teams raced a double leg to Kiev where the lovely Cho brothers were eliminated. We’re down to the final four, so who’s it going to be next? Tyler and James leave first at 7:33 AM and learn that they will next travel to Morocco. After landing, they have to find a particular antique shop. As the models leave, they hope that the blondes will be next to be eliminated. The girls are next to leave at 7:41. At this point, they say that they’re driven more by the competition than the million dollars. Rob and Kimberly leave next at 8:19 AM. Rob is learning that he needs to calm down more often and realize what he can and can’t control. At the airport, Dustin and Kandice choose a flight with a tight connection in Milan. Tyler and James arrive next but learn that there are no more seats on the flight that the Blondes are taking. Finally, Lyn and Karlyn leave the Pit Stop at 9:08 AM wondering what language is spoken in Morocco. They know that they’re facing a challenge now that their entire alliance has been eliminated, but they feel that because they started the race alone, they can finish it alone. Back at the airport, Rob and Kimberly lie to Dustin and Kandice about what flight they’re on, but Rob tells the truth before they try to change their tickets. The Blondes leave for Milan while the rest of the teams have flights through Paris. When Dustin and Kandice reach Milan, they are not allowed to board the flight to Casablanca. All teams will end up there before taking the only flight to Morocco, which doesn’t leave until 10:55 PM. Dustin and Kandice make it on the flight to Morocco first, causing disappointment for the other teams who had hoped that the girls wouldn’t make it. Once in Morocco, the Blondes find a taxi to follow, but the other teams see them and decide to follow. Lyn and Karlyn, however, bought a map in Paris and decide to venture off on their own. This pays off, and they make it to the antique shop first. They learn that they will next travel to a studio backlot, where there will be a Yield. Lyn and Karlyn find a local to take them to the studio as Dustin and Kandice are surrounded by a group of local men, which causes the other two teams to drive away. Dustin and Kandice and Tyler and James both pick up a local to ride along with them to sow tem the way. Rob and Kimberly make it to the antique shop next, followed immediately by Tyler and James. Dustin and Kandice have picked the wrong local apparently, because it takes them forever to make it to the antique shop. They’re in a precarious situation now because they’re running behind when there’s a Yield at stake. Lyn and Karlyn make it to the studio first but learn that it won’t open until 8 AM. Karlyn is itching to get to that Yield, but she’s going to have to wait. Tyler and James and Rob and Kimberly make it there next, and the Blondes arrive last. The next morning, teams wait at the gate and have to run to the Yield. Tyler and James make it there first but don’t use the Yield. Rob and Kimberly are next and they also decline to use the Yield. Dustin and Kandice arrive third, though, and Yield Lyn and Karlyn, who will have to wait to do the Road Block. Tonight’s Road Block involves riding race chariots. During the ride on the chariot, the team member participating will have to gather flags as well. James, Rob, and Dustin get ready to ride as Lyn and Karlyn sit back at the Yield. Karlyn, who was so excited to Yield the Barbies, says that it’s typical of them to play the race that way, but that at least she’ll be able to go home and sleep at night. For their part, Dustin and Kandice say that they had to do what they had to do. The chariot races are pretty rough and the horses go so fast that it’s hard for the riders to grab their flags. Dustin and Rob get a flag on each lap, but James misses his the first time and has to continue to race. Next up, teams will travel on to a small café. Rob and Kimberly and Dustin and Kandice decide to work together to find it just as Lyn and Karlyn start the Road Block. Lyn is confidant that Karlyn will do well in the chariot race because she’s so mad about being Yielded. On the road, Dustin and Kandice are following Rob and Kimberly but decide to follow Tyler and James instead when they drive past. Rob and Kimberly’s bad luck with cars continues when they get a flat, but they just keep driving. The Blondes decide not to tell them at first, but then pass them and yell it out the window and Rob and Kimberly stop to change it. Lyn and Karlyn, meanwhile, find a local to show them the way. They pass Rob and Kimberly, telling them that they couldn’t pick them up because they should’ve Yielded the Blondes. As Rob and Kimberly get help from a local that pulls over, Tyler and James and Dustin and Kandice reach the Detour. The choice tonight is Throw It or Grind It. In Throw It, teams have to use a local wheel to throw two pots. In Grind It, teams use an olive mill to grind 77 pounds of olives and put them into pressing sleeves. An added twist is that each Detour has only three stations, so if all four teams choose the same one, someone will have to wait. Dustin and Kandice decide to do Grind It while the models choose Throw It. Lyn and Karlyn arrive next, as Tyler and James decide that it might not be the best idea to try to throw pots correctly and go to Grind It instead. Lyn and Karlyn also decide to do Grind It because of the difficulty of throwing pots. As Dustin and Kandice head to the Detour, they pass Rob and Kimberly, but don’t stop. Rob and Kimberly aren’t impressed. Tyler and James stop and let them know how far they need to go to the Detour. Once they get there, they decide to do Grind It as well. This could be a problem, because they’re fourth to head there, but the Blondes could be the ones out in the cold because they drive pass the olive presses. Tyler and James arrive first, followed by Lyn and Karlyn. Rob and Kimberly manage to arrive before the Blondes, who are then forced to wait to do the Detour. Tyler and James finish first, which gives Dustin and Kandice the chance to get started. As they start pressing olives, the models get the clue to head to the Pit Stop. Lyn and Karlyn are close behind. In the biggest turnaround this race has seen, Rob and Kimberly finish the Detour and leave for the Pit Stop just as Dustin and Kandice get the go-ahead to start filling the sleeves. Finally, they head to the Pit Stop and it’s a tight race for the finish. Tyler and James arrive at the Pit Stop first, but forget the good luck charm that they picked up at the beginning of the leg and were instructed to bring to the mat. They have to sprint, but they manage to run back and get it and still beat Lyn and Karlyn for a first place finish. Additionally, they get a prize because the charm they chose matched the charm of the greeter. Lyn and Karlyn arrive in second place. Dustin and Kandice are looking for signs as Rob and Kimberly begin to doubt that they’re headed in the right direction. Rob and Kimberly find the cap, but have a hard time finding the mat. They seem to be wandering through the desert as the Blondes see the race flag. Even though they took the long way, Rob and Kimberly finish third and Dustin and Kandice arrive last. I’m feeling very, very sad as Phil tells the girls that they are the last to arrive and I’m waiting for the words, but he then tells them that they’re having a good day because it’s a non-elimination leg. Yay! They’re marked for elimination, but they’re still around to compete. Boy, will Lyn and Karlyn be happy to learn this bit of news! |
