Episode 6 begins with a challenge. After the usual recap of last week's eviction, the show begins. The challenge: Each team is shown a plate of food. They must, as a team, decide how many calories are on the plate. Which ever team is closer wins. 3 wins = a team win. The team win determines who on the opposing team gets to either lose a trainer for 72 hours or just eat Takeout for 72 hours. 1st plate is a hamburger and french fries. Red team is scared because they don't really count calories. Blue team, on the other hand, counts every calorie at the ranch. Both teams guess and the Red team is the closest for a win. Next plate is fried chicken, cole slaw and a biscuit. Both teams guess and the blue team decides to go higher in calories since they were under the last time and the Red team wins again. Blue team comments that they count healthy calories at the ranch and not real world food. Next plate is pancakes, eggs, toast, bacon. Red team wins again and they decide to have Bobby and Erik lose Bob for 72 hours and Marty and Brian will have to eat take out. Marty says "El Pollo Loco, here I come!" Seems like Blue voted out their brains at the last weigh in. Blue is all male now and Red is mostly women at this point. Us women sure do know how to count calories! Coke Zero anyone? After the challenge Bob finds out about the losing teams punishment and he is very upset. He thinks Erik and Bobby really need his help. Bobby makes it his mission to show Bob and the Red team that they don't need no stinkin trainer. They continue to work out during the show in the same gym, but without Bob's help and push. Brian and Marty learn about ordering out and making sure the restaurants do what they say they will. Marty orders a salad with corn on the side and it comes on the salad. Bob tells him that he needs to learn how to send it back because its not RIGHT. Apparently Bob has never worked in a restaurant because us sane folks would know that you don't send back a salad because it has corn in it instead of on the side, or else you will end up with chewed up corn on the side and a spit glob mixed in when it comes back from the kitchen. Like, you can send the delivery guy back to fix it anyways.Yeah right! Quick reality check there. Ah-ha! I have figured out what some of the time pre-ranch pre-show was used for....In comes Dr. something or other, the same guy who evaluated their health pre-show. Apparently they had major medical tests run on them before they started the show. He now has an update on their health. Kai's cholesterol has dropped over 100 points and her BP has gone down too. Pam's cholesterol has also gone down over 60 points. Everyone who was pre-diabetic is now fine. Erik has quit smoking. They are all still at risk for heart disease since they are still overweight at this point and here comes our non-commercial for Bayer Lo-dose asprin. But only take it under a doctor's care! [strike]Immuntiy challenge[/strike] [strike]reward challenge[/strike]Whatever challenge: Both teams have to have 3 players hoist the 4th player in the air using pulley's attached to the 3 on the ground. They run towards some flags, hoisting the 4th up to a pole where they attach a flag the 3 gave them. Confusing, I know, but it really isn't so exciting. Heather was hoisted for the red team, while a hurt Wiley sat out. Brian was hoisted by the other 3 Blue. In a very uneventful and easily predictable outcome, Blue team won. Hey, they are 4 strong men vs 3 women and 1 man. The winning team gets to decide if their team gets to eat a gourmet healty meal at the Hotel BelAge or a workout at the Belage pool. And which Red team member sits out at the next weigh in. Blue picks the meal, so Red has the workout. They gather poolside and while the Red team swims laps, the blue team orders steak and shrimp, cooked under TBL guidelines and eat while watching Red workout. Red begs for scraps playfully. Last Chance workout and Bob is back being the trainer for all the Blue team. Here we go again, with my nincomepoop self not writing this stuff down. I was in bed and tired and upset that I had to pick this or Lost. DVR'd Lost, if you care.... Blue team picks Ken to sit out. Red: Ken - lost 11 pounds Kai - lost 9 pounds Pam - lost 7 pounds Heather - lost 6 pounds Wiley - lost 9 pounds Blue: Bobby - lost 13 Marty - lost 15 Erik - lost 16 Brian - lost 9 Blue Team wins and Kai is the biggest loser on the Red team! No one has mentioned it yet, but for the last 2 weeks Wiley and Brian both weighed 255 after weigh in and both lost the same amt this week for 247 total. Weird. After the weigh in, the Red team meets with Kim and discuss things. They are all pretty happy because even though they lost, they all had huge weight losses, so its hard to get mad. kai says she has a mad personality and is changing that and Pam admits to having a fake happiness attitude before coming here. Kim reminds them that eating and working out isn't enough. They need to mentally change too. At the vote off, kai is immune. She also has the pass she won several challenges ago and chooses not to use it for anyone. She votes Ken because she feels he is a huge threat and it is getting crunch time. Ken votes Pam. Pam votes Ken. Wiley votes Ken for Ken's dismissal. All say that he is a big threat in the end. Back at home, Ken has continued his loss and lost another 70 pounds for a total of 148 pounds gone. His wife also has lost 50 pounds and he says he feels like a young man again. He feels he has reduced his family's history of dying young and loves to workout and be active with his family. He looks incredible to me! |

I thought he looked absolutely incredible! Question for the Squish: Are the players at the ranch still eligible for a prize to when this is all said and done? |

Those who can't laugh at themselves, leave the job to others. Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, Satan shudders & says... 'Oh, crap...she's awake!!’ | |

I really don't know, FG. You know most shows tell you at every turn what the prize is, ie ANTM. This one doesn't. Your guess is as good as mine. Anyone else out there know the answer? |
