At the start of the show, both teams reveal to their trainers that Nelson was the one voted out last week. Kim is shocked that the Red team is so divided and couldn't reach a team decision at the vote off. Bob is ecstatic that his team got to pick Nelson to vote off. He tells us that he wants only the best for Nelson and wants him to lose 100 pounds, but he is happy that his team doesn't have to beat his weight loss for a better chance at the weigh-ins. Off they head to the gym to workout!

Back at the Red team, the mood is downright depressing. Everyone has been up crying all night because of the Nelson vote and the loss. They feel horrible and don't want to work out. Kim tells them that she wants them to get up, work through their heartache, and run down and back to the front gate. Kai tells her she needs 10 minutes alone to gather her thoughts. Kim tries to talk her out of it and give her a hug. Kai absolutely refuses and yells at her, that she is not that kind of person and she needs her space. They reach an agreement that she will come out, but walk behind the rest of the team to get her space. Outside, the red team refuses to run, refuses to put any effort into their workout. Kim tries yelling at them and threatening them, but she realizes its futile. At one point Ken just sits down the side of the road and cries. They all stop after they return to the start and Kim starts talking to them. She threatens them and they all turn their back on her. It is at this point that the show gets really good for me, IMO. Kim loses her tough shell and starts to cry. In confessional she states that she knows she lost her team's respect and fear and they don't care anymore. She also says that they know her tough side and now she needs to be more human. She breaks down and walks away from her team. It is at this time that we see the Red team break through their depression and they all realize that Kim isn't a robot. They go inside and all have a heart to heart. Kim tells them a mini life story on herself, she was an army brat, she has body images and fat days, she had no friends...
After this session, their team feels better and ready to work out. So, already Red team is down at least a day, since they didn't get to work out.
Temptation:
Each player is put before table of food. Each table has different plates on it with different temptations, going from Carrot sticks (15 calories) up to ??? The temptation is:
after you eat a plate, you walk over to the middle and put your plate in a stack. At some point a buzzer will sound and the person's plate that is on the top of the stack wins a pass that they can use or give away at any time at a weigh in. The winning is huge and the girls on the red team quickly decide that one of their plates must be on top at all times, especially since they can give the pass away. Wiley quickly picks up on that fact so he knows HIS plate must be on top because if it isn't the girls have the majority Red vote and he will be gone next. Ken doesn't care because he isn't on the girls target list. The blue team doesn't really try to beat anyone and enjoy watching the Red team, sans Ken, stuff themselves. At the end, Kai wins the pass.
Back in the kitchen, Kim does this week's "non-commercial" for Jello pudding.
Challenge:
The stairmaster challenge, seen on previous season's of this show. Both teams arrive at a local mall and get on the escalator. The last one remaining wins $10,000 and their team picks which Blue Team member who will sit out the next weigh-in.
Some players drop out very early, Erik and Ken, before 2 minutes. At the end it is neck and neck with Pam and the guy from Missouri. For some reason his name eludes me right now. (danny, donny?) At some point over 10 minutes Pam wins! Pam is red team and she collapses to the floor. Everyone forgets their team for a minute and we have some group hugs and congratulations.
Last chance work out:
Red is worried since they lost a lot of time at the start of the week, working out personal issues and blue feels confident. They laugh that they are 0-4 at the challenges and don't seem down at all. Kim has gained the respect back of her team and she tells them they are her friends now, not just her team.
At the weigh in:
Squishy is doing this recap from memory so I don't actually remember the weight loss results, so if I think I remember I will post, ok?
Red team decides to veto the Missouri guy.
BLue:
Missouri - lost 6 pounds?
Brian - lost 9 pounds
Amy - lost 4?
Erik - lost 5?
Melinda - lost 2
Bobby - ?

Red:
Pam: 5
Heather: 5
Ken: 10
Wylie: 5
Kai: 5

And the RED team wins the weigh in!
Next day, Blue team is down and tells Bob the results. He is upset, but says its all part of the game and he says as long as they remain true to each other and talk, it will all be ok.

At the vote off:
Brian is immune since he was his team's biggest loser. They all vote to eliminate Melinda and she votes Bobby and they all hug.
Back at home, Melinda has lost an additional 26 pounds, but I don't know her exact weight loss total to date because my darn DVR flipped over to tape LOST one minute early.
Congrats Melinda on your change in life and, personally, you were one of my favorite contestants.
