Squish is saying mini recap because this is ANOTHER 2 hour episode and I am going to cover the highlights. Next week we are on one hour episodes which are much easier to recap.

The episode starts with the red team down one member. Kim comes in and tells the red team that they are going to spend the week at the beach. Bob does the same with the blue team. They are not overjoyed. The trainers want to show them that working out doesn't have to be at a gym. Plus they can put sand in their food so they won't eat it. J/k. Just before leaving, Ken finds out that his 19 year old son is in the ICU with an infection from a surgery he had a few weeks ago. He is crying and when he talks to Kim she asks him what he wants to do. He says he wants to go ahead with the plans because he needs to think of something else.

They all load into convertibles, 4 to a car and drive to the beach. It is unclear where they are staying, but the first night they slept in tents on the beach.
Once they arrive at the beach, they immediately start the workouts. Bob's workouts are hard, but he is very motivating. Kim has lost her sweet demeanor and a drill sergeant has possessed her. She is extreme and not very encouraging. She yells at them and threatens them with losing the challenge. In her team confessionals, they all say that they way she is treating them makes them want to yell back and just quit. When this show is done, she may consider the military as a new job.
After workout, both trainers tell their teams to run to the temptation challenge down the beach. They get there and there are sand castles built in the sand.
Here is what the sign said:

Pick a castle and dig
There are three types of treasure below
A chocolate treat
-175 calories-
A carrot stick
-30 calories-
Immunity

They all deliberate and no one chooses the temptation. Yeah! And it was each team's decision. The red team is working better as a team and the blue team is still strong.
Back at camp, the trainers show them how to eat healthy at the beach or a BBQ. Use lean turkey, veggies, a Tbs. of fat free mayo, etc.

NBC now shows us an update from home. Meet Adrian from ND. I personally picked her from the at home folks on my thread below last week! She has taked the challenge seriously and has lost a lot at the 3 week mark. I'll be updating my thread from last week after this recap to see who my "picks of the week" are.

The next day is challenge day. After their respective workouts, they all go down the beach where Caroline is waiting. They have to build a sand pile where one team member can climb it and get down a flag that is hanging from a pole 14 feet in the air. The first team to get it wins a care package from home and also gets to choose which team member from the blue team sits out at the next weigh in.
The challenge takes well more than an hour and to sum it up, Wiley gets hurt, Red wins the challenge, but Blue team was pretty close. Whoever though this challenge up, it was brilliant and entertaining - thanks.

The blue team is down, but convinced they will win the weigh in. The Red team is very happy and all agree that they needed this morale booster.

Next we see John from AZ. I featured him last week on my other thread. I am not sure at what point he was weighed in last, but he had lost 80 pounds at the update. Go John!

After the week the teams return to the ranch for their last chance workout and weigh in. This week's non-commercial come in here for One a Day vitamins for men and women. I don't know about you, but they give me heartburn.
Anyways, back to the weigh in.
The Red team decides to sit out Eric because he didn't have a huge week and he wants it more, they decide. Eric nods in agreement. He thinks it was a good choice. Below are the weight loss results:

Blue team:
Eric: previous-391, current-375, loss-16, total-32
Marty: previous-345, current-329, lost-16, total-35
Amy: previous-244, current-236, lost-8, total-24
Melinda: previous-225, current-221, lost-4, total-15
Tiffany: previous-243, current-236, lost-7, total-19
Brian: previous-285, current-277, lost-8, total-31
Bobby: previous-303, current-291, lost-12, total-30

Red team:
RED
Pam: previous-237, current-231, lost-6, total-15
Heather: previous-214, current-206, lost-8, total-17
Nelson: previous-385, current-370, lost-15, total-34
Kai: previous-250, current-238, lost-12, total-24
Wylie: previous-293, current-275, lost-18, total-34
Ken: previous-340, current-320, lost-20, total-38

Red team needed 56 pounds lost to beat the blue team and it wasn't even close. They lost 79 and they got the win!
It was a very emotional win. I was crying myself. Ken dedicated his weight loss to his sick son. Wylie expected a small loss and got a huge one and so did Brian since he was on restricted exercise due to an injury.
The next morning the red team faked out Kim and told them they lost. They played is pretty well, but of course they won.
Blue team talked about everyone and how they were all so strong and they all love each other, yada yada. On a personal note, I really like both teams. Nelson is the only one I don't connect with. He is very quiet.
When it came time to eliminate, the blue team was nearly unanimous in voting out Tiffany from Texas. She really doesn't have that much to lose and her numbers were small. They all say she can do it at home and she can because to date she has lost 33 pounds and her goal is another 50. She is happier and has more confidence.
