Question - what was the theme for this week because save for Santino and the golden sequins, they all look the same and like anything you can buy off of the rack at Macy's. |

They were supposed to design a gown that reflects what they would be showing in the finals. They all failed miserably...except for Santino. He's a huge horses patoot in my book, but he has stayed true to himself which I admire. I just wish he had a friend that could say, "dude lose the excess adornments!" I would have made the panels added to the skirt thinner and only adorned the top of the shoulders with it in brief amounts to marry the two together. The lines of the dress itself were gorgeous, especially the top. I love Danielle and have my fingers crossed that he will win because all in all I've liked his designs best. However, I do love the directions Chloe's line can go in as well. This is going to be an AWESOME finale. I think Kara's would have ended up like Wendy's...very underwhelming and drab looking compared to Danielle's and Chloe's. We'll SEE! |

The thing with Santino's - it is the most original, but WAY too many sequins, especially around the hips/thigh area so actually makes the thighs look big, it also ends up looking like fur. had it just been a few lines to accentuat the positive, or maybe lines going to more around the bottom it would work alot better, the ones on top - in comparison to the infestation of those below - look like an afterthought. Had there been just the ones around the shoulder, etc. it would have worked. Unless I'm missing some equisite craftmenship or details on the back, I can buy Daniel's in the lingerie section at Target. At least Chloe's has a few interesting seams. *sigh* I still love the cornhusk dress from last season. |
