Post a hypothetical situation and the next person answers it then posts another "what would you do" type situation... What would you do if you were asked to do something unethical at work, but felt you had to do it or lose your job? Would you do the unethical thing and keep your job or would you be unemployed and have to try and explain why you were fired--keeping in mind the old rule about not speaking badly about your former employer on interviews... |

It happened to me. Our company wanted us to fill out survery's for a magazine to make our product appear to be "America's Choice" on a favorite product. I couldn't do it. I didn't lose my job. I talked to my boss and told them it was unethical and their were no grounds for losing my job. If I had let the unethical thing be known it would have totally hurt the company. My boss saw it my way fortunately. What would you do if you caught someone that is important to you lying about something that effects you? |

What do you mean "what if?" Sadly this too has happened to me and I've never totally been able to trust them since. It's disappointing.
What would you do if your mother and spouse both needed a kidney and you could only help one? Which would you choose? |

Man... that's extremely hard for me. Of course my husband because he is the father of my children and my mate. But I only have my Mom left and she is so dear to me that it would be horrible to make that decision. If your in-laws house burned down and they lost everything and asked to move in with you, what would you do? |

Of course I'd let them, what choice would I have. It doesn't mean I'd like it!! What would you do if you had the choice to go back in time and assassinate Hitler. Would you do it to save millions of people's lives by taking one? |

Hitler... yes. One evil, insane man to stop the needless suffering of millions. You bet. What would you do if you accidently hit someone's pet? |

Definitely try to find the owner if I killed the pet, if it was badly injured I'd take it straight to the vet then try to find the owner. What would you do if you had to host a party which was very important for your or your spouses's promotion but the dinner burned and you had to order catered food. Would you lie to the guests and take credit for the meal? |

No... I think it would be found amusing by most so I would tell the truth. I would just be thankful that I could catered food fast enough. I would probably do that instead of cook dinner myself. What would you do if you found out a co-worker was bad mouthing you to the boss and could get you fired with their lies/gossip? |

Go to the boss and ask about it. How would you handle this situation... Your best friend is dating someone horrible (lied about being divorced--is still married--and a total loser and mooching money constantly from the friend) and asks what you think. You tell them the truth and then you find out later that they are marrying that person but didn't call to tell you personally. Would you attend the wedding? Would you remain friends with this person? |

I don't think I would attend the wedding. To me that's one of the most special ceremonies. And to be a witness to something that is not right. I would actually try to show proof to my friend of the lies and mooching. I would hope we could remain friends, but I think that would be their decision. What would you do if you had bone marrow that could save someone's life(and you are the only match) but found out that the person had a horrible criminal record? |

that situation actually happened to me and by best friend of over 30 years lpatrick. She sat there and agreed with everything, then I found out later that she was getting married--she didn't have the nerve to tell me but had the nerve to send me both wedding shower and wedding invites. I have not spoken to her since. That was 3 or 4 years ago. It made me angry at first that I thought it was HIS fault, but I realized it was really HER that lied to me! She knew all along that he was still married, she just didn't want to tell me because she knew I wouldn't approve. She needs to take responsibility for that. Now she is paying the price I'm sure--literally and figuratively. SHE is the bread winner and has to take care of his 3 kids from his previous marriage. I guess what goes 'round truly does some 'round huh. No I wouldn't do it. Sorry, I'm too selfish. I wouldn't do it unless it was a close family member--I probably wouldn't even do it for some of my family members. ![]() What would you do if you had the chance to either take an all expense paid vacation for yourself and your family or you could give it to a truly needy family with a terminally ill child? Would you keep the vacation or would you give it away, knowing you might not have a vacation for yourself for a few years? |

I would give it away. Especially if there was a terminally ill child. Remember... what goes 'round comes 'round. What would you do if an old flame called and said that he couldn't get you off his mind and wanted to go to lunch? |

At this point...are you kidding? I'd go! What would you do if you had a co-worker making passes at you. You have to work closely with this person. Would you report them? |

I guess it would depend on if he was a creep or if he was hot to be honest.
If it was innocent flirting probably not, but if they were crossing the line and being creepy then yes. What would you do if you won the lottery? List five things you would do with your winnings. |

Build a house on as much land as I could get my hands on. Give some to each of "my' family. Put enough away for the boys college. Give a very large amount to Children's Hospital. Buy a fun car (that's not a kid mobile). What would you do to help a drug addict? |

Give him or her the number of the chemical dependency treatment facility I used to market for. What would you do if you had a co-worker who was way too loud? |

I've done this... I tell them my hearing is very sensitive (which is true) and that it would help if they would speak a little softer. It's nothing against them, but loud voices can really get to me. What would you do if someone slapped you? |

First I'd be so shocked I'd probably just stand there, then I'd come after them like nobody's business and go straight to the boss to get them fired for assault. What would you do if you got a boss you absolutely hated and you got sick every time you came to work. Would you quit without another job lined up? |

I did. I got really tired of traveling all the time and not having a life. Plus my boss would drive me crazy. He wouldn't help with anything, just say figure it out for yourself. Then there was a co-worker who was extremely jealous and verbally attacked me once after a long day at a hair show. What would you do if your best friend committed a crime? |

Turn them in. Nobody is worth going to prison as an "accessory to the crime" for! What would you do if you saw your spouse's picture on an online dating service? |

Whoa. I would secretly set up a date and see if he showed. If he did I would throw his lousy butt out. Same question? |

Hahaha. That's funny because my project manager here just came in and told me her ex husband is on there and she said he looked "creepy." LOL I wouldn't bother setting up a date--I'd just print the page out and confront him! What would you do if one of your kids lied to you? |

It's already happened. My oldest was in the hall and threw a ball that came flying in the living room and blame it on his little brother. I knew for a fact that it was the oldest. He was amazed that I had caught him in the lie. We had a lond discussion about being truthful and its importance and he lost his favorite toy for two days. What would you do if your car broke down in the middle of nowhere and you didn't have your cell phone? |

Walk towards civilization and hope that a passing motorist would lend me their cell phone. Actually I had an accident a few years ago and my car wound up down a steep embankment in a national forest and I was surprised how many people stopped during the time I was waiting for the sheriff's dept to arrive. What would you do if someone else actually decided to post here today? |
