Deleted User	The girls are thrilled about the upcoming trip to London. As they pack their belongings, Kim notices .. Tyyyyyyra Maaaaaaail. Tyra Mail Get ready to meet someone whose modelling career has been based on individuality and self awareness. Listen for a knock at the door at 1p.m. Lisa opens the door to find none other than top model Jenny Shimizu !! I don't know who she is haha but she sure does look alot different in her modelling pictures than in person !! Turns out she was a Calvin Klein model and she explains to the girls that she was fortunate enough to meet Calvin and Kelly Klein while on her motorcycle. do those things REALLY HAPPEN ?? She explains to the girls that Calvin Klein found something about her that he really liked, even though she is not your average type model. She is a minority, 5'7, she has alot of tatoos and she is gay. Frankly , I really don't understand what your sexual preference has to do with anything, but I guess she meant that her look* tends to be boyish, as does Kim's. She explains that the differences in models are actually beautiful things. In other words (well, in MY words, embrace your individuality and don't try to CONFORM). After Jenny leaves, the girls have just enough time for a quick dip in the spa, before they hear .. Tyyyyyyra Maaaaaaail. Tyra Mail* Prepare to meet the ghosts from your past. The girls arrive at the studio and meet with Kevin Frazier, the weekend host and correspondent for Entertainment Tonight. He explains to them that when you make it big, you are followed wherever you go, so you always have to look your best because the photographers will use the WORST pictures of you to put in magazines. He emphasizes this point by showing a picture of Tyra looking very Tyra-esque, and then another candid shot of her that wasn't particularly flattering and ran in a magazine. He goes on to show the girls some candid shots of themselves from all the pictures that have been taken of them. He ends his lecture by telling the girls that the pictures you see in magazines will either make or break you and that perception is reality. You can't travel the world and be unaware of the pesky paparazzi that will always be following you. Back at the house, the girl's wait impatiently to be whisked off to London. Kim passes the time by talking to Nicole (her new best friend) about everything that's negative with the other girls. Lisa passes the time by whipping a .. bungee cord ?? .. around the house. She states that she's "an antsy pantsy kind of girl". Finally .. Tyyyyyyra Maaaaail Tyra Mail You're on your way but snap !! One more fierce photo before you go. The girls head out of the House of Top Model and go to a shop called Prints of the City to get their passport photos taken. They meet with the photographer Mark who will take their pictures. After the pictures are taken , Mark discloses the truth that he is not really a passport photographer. duh .. His name is Mark Anderson and he's a celebrity photographer. He tells them that one of them will be the winner and he selects .. Bre. She will receive a prize in London that she can share with one person and she selects Nik. He also gives her a cell phone that is also a video/camcorder/tv. On the phone is a little message from home for each of the girls. awww The Confrontation Back in the limo, Bre confronts Kim about her backstabbing ways. Kim tries to defend herself, but the rest of the girls begin to get into the conversation and tell Kim that she talks about everyone behind their backs. When Jayla confronts her, Kim is brought to tears. Nicole begins to defend her, but Bre says she should stay out of it since she and Kim are friends now. Lisa seems to be enjoying the whole thing. She is sitting there munching on some snacks with a half grin on her face. After Bre and the other girls give Kim her tongue lashing, Bre sits next to her and gives her a hug and says .. "c'mon now girl .. give Momma some love" Finally .. London !! The girls finally get to the airport and soar into the skies on their way to London. They arrive at Heathrow Airport and are greeted by Miss J who escorts them onto a double decker bus for a tour of London. They arrive at the Savoy Hotel where Miss J hands them the key to their room. As they disembark from the bus and walk around the corner to go to the hotel, they are accosted by a group of Papparazzi. now c'mon .. how could they NOT know this was a setup !! Lisa is walking with her head down, covering up her face and saying .. "no no .. no pictures". Nicole stops with her luggage, dons her model smile and says "ok guys, get your picture". Jayla is donning her model style with sunglasses and scarf. Once away from the .. Papparazzi .. they walk into the hotel and go to their room which is actually a beautiful suite. If I ever find myself in London, I want to stay there !! It had a fireplace too and I LOVE fireplaces !! The Date A knock on the door. It turns out to be two English lads who are there to bring Bre and Nik out on the town. That is the prize she won for the previous photo shoot. They are treated to a horse and carriage ride , and they go through Picadilly Circus which is similar to NYC's Times Square except much more .. laid back. Bre is quite impressed with the manners of their English escorts. They open doors, pull out chairs, all of those things that a proper gentleman should do. They sit down to dinner in a beautiful cozy private room and have a lovely time and pleasant conversation. At the end of the evening, their escorts kiss them on the cheek and send them on their way. Bre was very impressed. So was I !! I'm jealous (while they were gone, Kim wrote an apology letter, but when Bre and Nik read it later that evening, they didn't seem too impressed by it). Back at the hotel, what should be waiting for them ? Tyrrrrrra Maaaaail Tyra Mail Who will be America's Next Top Model. It's your call. Be ready at 7:30. The girls arrive at their destination. An alley with a single telephone booth in it. remember those ?? before the invention of the cell phone ?? Jay Manuel is also there, and once again, he drills into their heads the importance of always looking good no matter where they are, because you never know when the Papparazzi may show up. He then explains that in this photo shoot, Tyra wanted to emphasize this by having them photographed all together .. in the telephone booth. The premise is .. they are supposed to be acting like they are running out from backstage of a fashion show and all they have are these tabloids and their galoshes. And the only place they have to hide from the Papparazzi is the telephone booth. well, this sounds a bit far fetched to me .. why would they be running out from a fashion show with tabloids and galoshes on. Only in the world of top models i guess haha Jay introduces them to Nick Maroudias who will be the photographer. Photo Shoot After hair and makeup, the girls emerge, donned in galoshes, panties, and tabloids. They moan and groan about having to squeeze into the telephone booth together, but Jay explains that Tyra reaaaally wants this , so they have to make it WORK. And so, the girls shove themselves into the telephone booth. In a private interview, Bre says " even tho we're alot of pretty girls ?? alot of pretty girls don't use deodorant".. ewwww Suddenly from the back of the telephone booth, Lisa says " hey guys .. i farted !!" EWWWWW .. To continue Bre's private interview, she says " and I wanna know the pretty girl that thought it was cute , to pass gas in that little box. I coulda just died in that little box. Just DIED !!" The girls take turns in the gas box posing in front of the others. Luckily they get to open the door each time to air it out a little !! After the claustrophobic photo shoot, the girls come home to find none other than .. Tyyyyyyyyyyyra Maaaaaail Tyra Mail Tomorrow you will meet with the judges, .. so on and so forth .. one of you will be eliminated. The girls meet with Tyra and the judges. The guest judge is Nick Maroudias. Evaluations of Papparazzi and Telephone Booth Shoots Kim : Nigel : (on Papparazzi shoot) Going for the nose pick Booth shots Twiggy : ohhhhh that's a great shot Nigel : you look beautiful, serene Tyra : gorgeous Bre : Nigel : (on Papparazzi shot) Actually , it's not bad. This makes the photographer look bad, not you. Booth shots "Miss J" : ok baby cakes .. Bre (unintelligible). I love it. I do. Nigel : your eyes are commanding and you've got a little bit of scaredness there but it works. As far as the girls in the back, they pale in significance. Tyra : I was blown away Lisa : Twiggy : (on Papparazzi shoot) you don't look like a model Nigel : the bad hair and the outfit, they will rip you apart Booth shots Twiggy : ooooooh, I think that's the best photograph I've seen of you actually. Nigel : what you need to work on is keeping THIS look in the public domain. Nicole : Miss J : (on Papparazzi shoot) You look like you've just seen someone from school that you haven't seen in a long time .. Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy !!!! OMG !! Booth shots Nigel : very pretty too Nick : looks fabulous , really good Tyra : still not pushing through enough Jayla : Tyra : (on Papparazzi shot) You were the only one that didn't have a bad Papparazzi shot. Twiggy : the scarf, the shades, the handbag .... Tyra : it almost looks like an editorial shot Booth shots Nigel : the problem in this shot for you is that the other girls are so dominant in the picture Nick : i think the close proximity of the other girls seemed to affect you more than the rest Nik : Nigel (on Papparazzi shot) : You don't look like a model at all in this picture and it's quite extraordinary because I haven't seen a bad shot of you ever. Booth shots Tyra : that looks amazing Twiggy : that looks like a fashion photograph to me and you've got no clothes .. sooo .. I love it Tyra : you've got so much confidence with your head to the side .. straight on, you're almost there. Deliberations Lisa : Twiggy : I've said lots of times I don't see her as a model Nigel : that Papparazzi shot was just dreadful Nick : based on the shoot, she moved really well, she did what she was told, she was great fun Bre : Twiggy : Bre has really gone up in my estimation. She's absolutely beautiful. Tyra : Bre won the passport shoot and I booked a job once on simply my passport picture Jayla : Nigel : Jayla is simply coasting for me. She hasn't had a moment to shine. Nick : Jayla didn't take direction very well. Kim : Miss J : it's a beautiful picture but she's been annoying to me Twiggy : yes she's annoying but she's got a look and I love that look Nicole : Twiggy : she's a very pretty girl Nigel : Nicole takes beautiful pictures time and time again .. but .. she's a sourpuss in front of you Twiggy : I'm not sure she realizes how it comes across, but it does come across slightly .. sour and not friendly. Nick : she wasn't very easy to work with on the shoot Nik : Twiggy : she's a stunning woman but I was disappointed with her Papparazzi pictures. Tyra : I can't help but feel very deja vu with this picture of Nik. It's like the same picture of her every week. Elimination Tyra begins to call the names of the girls who will continue on .. Kim Bre Nicole Nik The final two are Jayla and .. Lisa !! Tyra says .. " Lisa is the spunky girl. The girl with so much energy and so much fire. The girl that takes beautiful pictures. But some of the judges are put off by your fire. Some of them think it's cocky. Some think it's great but too much. Jayla, the judges think you take NICE photos .. the judges think you have a .. NICE personality, but they're not sure you can take it all the way. So who goes home. The girl that's the spitfire or the girl that's straddling the line ..that's kind of mediocre." Tyra shows the final picture.. Jayla Lisa's eyes bug out of her head in disbelief. And I must say that I was shocked as well. As much as Lisa's erratic behavior has been questionable, she did take absolutely gorgeous photos. Jayla on the other hand, was .. as Tyra put it .. mediocre at best. In my opinion anyway. :shifty Lisa bids adieu to the models and goes to the hotel to pack. She says "if I didn't win or make it to the top three like I expected .. oh well. I gave it everything I got. I stayed true to myself the whole way through and .. no regrets. This whole thing was pretty damn cool man !! To go through an experience like this and live a dream was real exciting. And if it's over .. it's over. I have to believe that it was her antics that did her in. She was fun and vivacious but sometimes she just went too far .. i.e. the diaper incident. I think the judge's were probably afraid that she couldn't be trusted. I'll miss her though. She was entertaining. Next week .. watch Nicole lose it when The Birds attack her !! And will Bre and Kim's bickering finally come to blows ?? Has the time finally come for a full blown cat fight ? Don't miss it .. on the new episode of America's Next Top Model !!

Easin' into summertime... Posts: 3,720 Group: Admin Member #109 Joined: April 25, 2005	Loved the recap Becks. Why can't Bre mind her own damn business. She's more guilty of doing what she's accusing Kim of doing. And she takes BAD pictures!

Deleted User	Loved your recap, becki, as usual! I was shocked by Lisa going too, but she was a little strange....and she's the type that if she got really famous would definitely go over the edge...she's way too hyper. As for models always having to look great in a photo..that's ridiculous. It makes them look like real people..they're still pretty, just not all made up! I'd LOVE to look like they do on their worst day!!
