ART Fixture Posts: 374 Group: Writer Member #28 Joined: March 9, 2005	Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale .. And with that, the second season of The Real Gilligan's Island begins !! Or, as I like to characterize it, Survivor : Club Med. In case you have never seen the show, briefly, the premise is this : Both teams come to the island, not knowing that there will be another group that they will be living and competing with. They head off in face to face competitions until seven crew members remain. The losers are banished to the other side of the island with no chance of being rescued and the main objective of the show is to be the sole survivor rescued from the island and win 250,000.00. And now, the recap. I'm going to try to keep this as short as possible although it was a TWO HOUR PREMIERE !!!! (kinda like a three hour tour?? ) We start off by meeting the Orange team as they board the S.S. Minnow : Skipper Ken looks quite similar to the original Skipper and lets it be known that he likes to give orders.. MaryAnn Randi says she is a lifeguard.. (we'll get to the irony of that later).. Gilligan Shawn admits to the Skipper that he doesn't know much about fishing, boating, etc. but considers himself a new age Gilligan. Professor Tiy-E, a love doctor, and as MaryAnn Randi says, "is rather loud and obnoxious. We also get to find another little known secret of HIS later on in the show !! Next come Jim and Donna Bounce, The Howells of the group .. net worth 4 million . Finally Ginger Angie, who is Angie Everhart (actress/supermodel). She actually resembles the original Ginger quite a bit .. could be the red hair .. is it real ? only her hairdresser knows for sure !! Next we meet the Green team : Gilligan Zac, a cabana boy who admits that he can be a little hyper .. Skipper Crazy Charlie, a bit scary , yet in a strange way , a bit likeable .. MaryAnn Mandy,who considers herself just a normal home town country girl, ( i distinguish her from the other Mary Ann by the little mole in the center of her forehead), Professor Andrew, who seems to be rather stuck on himself .. he says that he totally fits the role of the original Prof., smart, good looking, etc.. ..(sparks fly between The Prof and MaryAnn right from the start) .The Howells , Howard Shurr and Miss Melissa, a 27 year age difference and net worth 4.5 million , but money doesn't matter .. right ?? And finally Ginger Erika, Erika Eleniak, a movie star with platinum blonde hair (once again, only her hairdresser knows for sure) . Speaking of sure, Mr Shurr* seems to be a little lustul at the sight of her. The host is Scott Lasky. He is .. a host. :unsure: They all arrive at the island, replete with lovely little straw huts and are quite surprised to find out that .. there are TWO teams of castaways !! Let the games begin !! As would be expected, some people beging to form bonds, others begin to bicker. The Gingers seemed a little annoyed to find out that they weren't the ONLY movie star on the island. Gilligan Zac forms a crush on MaryAnn Mandy and sticks coconuts in his pants ?? to try to woo her. She seems to like the attention. It gets more and more apparent as the show goes on that the self proclaimed girl next door LOVES attention and will take all she can get. Everyone incessantly complains of the heat .. I wonder if they noticed they are on a beach , with an ocean and everything !! As everyone is getting to know each other and complaining about the heat, A Gilligan's Island replica radio begins to broadcast an announcement. It's a reward challenge !! First reward challenge : A Shower Rules of the Challenge: They must swim out to a platform and each retrieve a box .. all boxes have implements to start a fire .. they must start a fire and and get a fire going high enough to burn through a rope which will make a bucket of water fall on the other teams fire. At this point , I need to say that the water is so shallow that they really don't need to swim .. they could walk but .. it IS Survivor : Club Med after all. People are using batteries, steel wool , magnifying glasses .. finally, Team Green wins by getting sparks and using dry reeds, etc to get a big fire going. Head off to camp .. Showers for the green team and , hey why not shower with your clothes on ? makes .. sense ?? Bedtime .. bamboo mats, comfy hammocks, blankets .. snoring, .. more snoring .. oh my .. the skipper , ummm .. farted :o (can i say that ??) Next day .. a little eye candy for the guys .. "let's learn how to do the model walk", . let's show some skin .. ok, you get the idea .. Shower time again and Prof Andy and MaryAnn Mandy shower together. Gilligan Zac doesn't seem too happy about that. I mean, he stuck coconuts in his pants and everything for her !! He then decides to climb a coconut tree ( I'm thinking he has a coconut fetish !!) and i bet he got quite a bit of tree burn sliding down that thing. After quite awhile , he succesfully cracks a coconut .. when suddenly .. A HUGE SCREAM .. :blink: Ginger Angie has cut herself with a knife .. ( not sure what she was even trying to cut at the time) .. but her hand is a bloody mess, and a helicopter comes to rescue her.. Back at camp.. A little makeshift island basketball breaks the monotony of the night , and MaryAnn Mandi struts around showing off her .. assetts.. Radio message : Go to Voodoo Village to find out who is going to be competing the next day for banishment .. They arrive in the midst of a thunderstorm .. How dramatic !! Time for the voodoo box to be opened but first .. update on Ginger Angie .. she cut tendons in her hand .. The box is opened .. and .... One of the Skippers will be banished .. (side note : skipper crazy charlie says chicken bone an awful lot .. not that it means anything but .. ) Next Morning: Some people are practicing island golf and meanwhile, Gilligan Zac finds MaryAnn Mandy cuddling with Prof Andy. Not wanting to disappoint either one, MaryAnn Mandy does a bit of community cuddling. Prof Andy says he has a girlfriend back home so his little flirtations with MaryAnn Mandy won't go anywhere .. hmmmm. . Ant Problem !! (just thought I would throw that in) Radio Announcement : Meet at the Lagoon for the head to head Skipper Competition Host Scott Lasky explains the rules: Both teams get in boats .. plugs will be pulled out of the boats .. they must either bail out water or cover the plug holes to keep afloat .. at different points, certain people will be told to jump overboard but the skipper will remain in the boat and the skipper that stays afloat the longest wins .. Mr. Millionaires are told to jump out first .. next go the Mary Ann's .. no one seems to know what they are doing .. Professors are told to jump out next .. suddenly, Professor Tye-E is sinking like a rock .. hmmm he can't swim .. the Host Laskey jumps in to rescue him .. Next called out are the Ms Millionaires .. meanwhile, the skippers and gilligans are bailing out the boats fast and furious when suddenly .. Gilligan Zac jumps out of his boat .. embarrassing .. but Skipper Crazy Charlie still wins and Skipper Ken is banished . Back at Camp: Skipper Crazy Charlie and his team examine the new fishing equipment they received for winning the competition. Maryann Randi yells at the Professor Tiy-E by saying that he should have told people he couldnt swim , yet .. SHE is a lifeguard ?? She explains she is a lifeguard in shallow water .. Radio Announcement : They are instructed to go down Coconut Path There they find popcorn and a movie comes on and it's MaryAnn Angie .. she can't come back cuz her hand is wrapped up in a cast .. Back at camp: Gilligan Zac makes MaryAnn Mandy a hat out of .. coconut fronds ?? .. He's still hitting on her and she's eating it up as usual. Another trek to Voodoo Village : another lightning storm ?? strange .. The box for the next head to head competition is opened and it's.. The Mr Millionaires .. now the millionaire couples realize they could be separated and they aren't one unit.. That night : Mary Ann Mandy sleeps with Professor Andy .. she's acting a little odd .. a little .. obsessive ? I mean, they've been together a couple days at most . She was kinda crying and acting like she'd found her soul mate .. ewwww... :blink: Next morning : Lots of talking behind each other's backs .. same ol' same ol' .. mostly about the professors lack of swimmiing ability .. frankly i would have been more pissed at Mary Ann lifeguard haha .. Radio Announcement: Head to the Lagoon for .. Mr Millionaire Competition : ( but before that, a few guys have to show off by doing push ups) The head to head competition is golfing .. they have to use avocado pits and the team members have to smash open the avocados and eat around the pit for the mr millionaires to use .. ( i loved avocados before i saw smashed avocado all over people's faces) .. :huh: The object is to land as many pits as they could onto floating greens .. Final score : orange 2 green 0 .. Mr Bounce (haha) wins and Mr Shurr gets bounced or should I say .. banished .. from the game .. Mr Bounce gets beer, etc and a fresh water pool as a reward to share with his team .. Mr Bounce keeps talking about a menage a trois with his wife and the banished millionaires wife .. :o Prof Tiy-E is mouthing off.. being pretty annoying .. Crazy Charlie takes it in stride .. Maryann Mandy and Prof Andy take a walk on the beach and lay in the sand looking at the stars and looking at the ocean.... she's annoying .. Gilligan Zac comes down and kind of ruins the moment for them by saying he wants to win the money cuz his mom needs a lung transplant .. Could he be lying ? It reminds me of an incident that happened on Survivor one season. Only time will tell .. Voodoo Village and another lightning storm : They open the voodoo box .. what will be in it???? Ms Millionaire !! Nightime for the castaways .. What happens next week ?? We'll have to wait and see .. The suspense is almost unbearable huh ??
