I actually liked Vonzell tonight, unlike Simon who seems to have a vendetta of some sort against her... what was the last compliment he gave her, "you'll outlast Nadia"?  But in all seriousness, she made me actually like that group song. I actually wanted to listen to it for once, and I despise it. It wasn't perfect, but I think that it was close enough that I was amazed. Most of the songs that I hear on AI I could imagine myself pulling off (hey, I can have egotistical fantasies of grandeur if I want to :lol:). But that... I don't know if I could have.That said, although I thought she did a pretty good job with her first song... what was up with that song choice? Elvis? I mean, it showed that she was versatile, but I don't know if I liked it as much. Then again, I'm somewhat of a diva glory-note whore (only if the diva isn't Clay, of course :lol:) |

The show was pretty boring for this late in the competition. Bo was good as usual, Vonzell OK, and Carrie her usual. A-Fed and Scott - eh. |

Well, I agree last night was a little boring for this late in the show. Bo pulled it off as usual. Carrie and Vonzell are holding their own. Scott did better this time I think but I still think his attitude bothers me. As far as Anthony goes...YUCK...I'm just not into him at all. He belongs in a boyband. My prediction at this stage of the game is that Bo is going to take it.

I didn't think Vonzell was all that last night, but she, Carrie and Bo are miles ahead of Scott and Anthony at this point. I think Anthony will go tonight, which I personally hate because although his singing may be "rocky" at times, I still like him tons more than Scott

I wouldn't be surprised if Vonzell goes tonight. She has been in the bottom three a lot and the voting wars to keep Scott and A-Fed in could just leave her in the dust. It would be a shame because she is much more talented than those two. |

I have to wonder if Simon's dumping on Vonzell might be to give the show a twist. Maybe he thinks if he's hard on her the viewer's will get mad at him and vote for her to help lower Scott's votes. He seems to have wanted him gone last week. Who know's just a thought. <_< |

Actually I think Simon's comments usually have the opposite effect on America and I wouldn't be surprised if he does that on purpose to boost someone's vote count that night. Vonzell last night. |

Actually, the only time this season has Simon's comments backfired on him was the night he told Scott to pack his bags. He told Jessica the same thing and she went home the following night. I agree with most of what Simon has to say. The things I usually disagree with him about are usually issues that involve sound quality. He's at a disadvantage. He usually corrects himself the next night after reviewing the playback. I thought Carrie, Vonzell and Bo were the best entertainment last night. Bo is going to win this because of some political agenda Idol is trying to fulfill; however, Carrie is definitely going places. I think she'll be a huge cross-over star in the country music industry. Vonzell has a fabulous voice, but unfortunately, she sounds like a million other good singers in the world (LaToya London, Tamyra Gray, Jennifer Hudson, Kimberly Caldwell, etc.)  Final thought: I thought Bo's rendition of Heaven was very "karaoke". <_< |
