30 Days
Just watched a few minutes of the show 30 Days. What a concept. If you could step into someone else's shoes for 30 Days...where would you go? Before you jump to a quick answer, think before you leap. This guy on the show was going to be a coal miner for 30 days. Could you do that? He was underground from early morning until late afternoon, not once seeing the sun. Constantly shoveling coal off the floor, he could not stand up straight. But he reminded himself that the work he was doing was help to run things like Children's Hospital (very near and dear to my heart) or just someone watching somethingon the internet. He said..."well, at least it's makin' someone happy."
So again, who's shoes would you step into for thirty days? Ok, you can have two choices...choose something totally selfless first...then go ahead and reward yourself by picking something wicked selfish.
Close to bedtime. I'm going to do some reading. Right now it's J D Robb's "Strangers in Death." Whachu readin'?

Selflessly I'd choose to be a missionary to Hong Kong. I almost did this for a fact about 8 years ago. Since I have always been self employed in the end they decided I might not be able to work 'for someone else' which bothered me since, for the past 7 years after closing my business I have worked for someone else and been good at it. It worked out for the best because I'd have missed getting to know my two grandchildren.
Selfishly I'd like to be Jennifer Anistan and have been married to Brad Pitt and have all the money I want to do all the things I have ever dreamed of. -

I would probably be a NICU nurse at a Children's Hospital. All those gals are very near and dear to my heart for what they did for my son so long ago. I believe that's probably one of the most wonderful/awful jobs there could be. I have to stop there, maybe talk about it more later.
Selfishly, I'd be Angelina Jolie because she has Brad now!!!

Unselfishly, I would choose to work in a battered women's shelter......I have been there done that (ex-boyfriend). I would love to help someone restart their lives.
Selfishly, I would be Nicole Kidman cause she has Keith and he makes me drooooool!!!! - Add new comment:
