Where to begin
So where to begin.... Well, I've been MIA from ART for awhile. As you can say, life has just gotten in the way. First all the health issues. Instead of thirty four, you'd think I'm a hundred and thirty four. I have had problems with my hands for several years, mainly the thumbs and wrists. I've been to a million and one different doctors and specialist...and you know what....none of them can give me an answer as to what is really wrong. Next... a few months ago I found a lump on my breast. Now you know that's never a happy moment. Thank the Lord it was nothing serious and all is well. Now I have the largest heel spur on my left heel. It's killing me. I have several options as how to take care of it, but are any of the fun. NO!!!!
My two little monsters are becoming big monsters. William will be seven in July and John turned five in December. Time flies when you have little ones. We made a HUGE decision in Will's life to retain him in first grade. The kid is SO smart and logical, so the decision was almost impossible to make. He passed but he was not at a second grade reading level. That on top of being the youngest and close to one of the smallest kids in the first grade, we just felt we could give him more time. It was truly one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. He is actually taking it better than me.![]()
So Mr. lpatrick has just gotten home from work and has brought me dinner. I'll, of course be back with more of life at the lpatrick house. I'll even share some good ole Southern recipes with y'all in the future!!!XOXO

Welcome back LP. You were missed. Sorry to hear about the problems but I am actually going through something similar. Horrific pain under my ribs for two months ... Dozens of tests (two more coming this week) and more doctors then I thought existed and still no answers. So you are in my prayers and hopefully we will both get lucky and find that one doctor with the right answers.
But the best thing is that you are back with us and fighting through the pain. Welcome back. -

Do you eat peanuts chairo?? I had pain a long time ago under my ribs. At the time I was eating cashews, making my own trail mix. I had all kinds of ultrasounds. They couldn't find anything. I stated cutting things out of my diet and sure enough after the cashews went away, no more pain. I hope you get it figured out. You are added to my prayer list sister.
It's good to be back around. I'll try not to be such a bum and lose touch with my favorite site. -

Hey girl! I"m so happy you are back!! I had heel surgery last year so I speak from experience...always make it the last choice. It's funny but since my surgery I average about 5 miles a day on my feet. I walk as much as possible! Try coritzone shots first, they do hurt but it's momentary and if it works, you only have to do it once! My left foot took, but my right foot was a little more stubborn (hence the surgery). I am so glad you're back! .

Hello my funnygirl. Happy to be back.
I really don't want the surgery, but I'm not jumpin up and down for a shot either. Go back to doctor next week, so I'll let you know.
And what's this about you being an ump?!? -

Surgery really wasn't that bad. Ask the doctor who is giving you the shot if you can get a mild sedative to take to relax you. That's the hardest part of the shot. It's really not that big of a deal.
Yeah, I decided to be proactive and umpire the younger girl's softball. I get to help mold these little girls into good softball players while keeping the male coach egos in check. They have a tendancy to go a little overboard on the competitiveness. I'm having a blast and they are paying me to do it. -
