Discuss tonight's episode in this thread. Thank you!

Dang... 8 minutes in and we've got FIREWORKS! This time, Deanna vs. Liz, with Shauna siding with Deanna and Princess just... being there. This episode, Deanna's being rather crafty, and it's almost like she's talking too much... I'm a little bit worried for her safety, to be honest

Jeff has two minutes to get in... is it even possible that he'll make the deadline? If not, his team will be disqualified, and we will all rejoice

Ok... a couple things.

1. Liz TOTALLY blew it, and she should have been gone (although perhaps Julie was acceptable, she should have been next in line, and not Princess) Princess kept telling her that they needed something modern, but Liz wasn't getting it through her thick skull that they needed something that they would be able to sell. I could not understand how she managed to get out of that without getting any lecture. It blew my mind that Princess was getting into all the trouble for that situation.

2. Jeff has proven once and for all, that he and his ears need to go far away from any television camera before they show him to be an even bigger idiot.

3. Tommy Hilfiger is an even bigger idiot than Jeff is apparently to say that giving away a third of their budget is acceptable, as is leaving the seamstress with 40 or 50 dollars (depending on whether Deanna is talking to her team/the camera or Tommy). I have never known anyone on a reality show be as gentle to someone like Jeff as Tommy was. It was sickening for him to give a lecture about timing being very important, and then suddenly, because Jeff had a good excuse, it was acceptable.

4. Goodbye Julie

I am wondering if anyone caught the name of the New Mexico store where the team went and found various fabric, etc. The name of the storefront I believe was shown quickly.

David

Hey DNBursky,

Welcome to ART! Hope you enjoy it around here, and we're glad you came!

I don't know the answer, but bored, our wonderful recapper is on top of things, and is rewinding his tape as I type to find out the answer for you. Why did you need me to tell you this? Really, no reason, but I wanted to welcome you

Ok... a couple things.

I feel a strong need to debate these issues with you dfleminator :laugh

1. Liz didn't blow this task. Princess blew the task and the boys fell into the whole high school drama crap. They were not going to listen to her. I think they went about the whole thing incorrectly. I do have to question why Liz didn't let Felix or Julie take the phone when it was obvious Liz wasn't effectively communicating with the juveniles in NY.

2. You can hate Ears until the cows come home, but you will never convince me that he was wrong last night. I agree with Tommy's assessment of hte situation. Clearly the denim was a very important element in the design of both outfits. Why didn't they get the jacket pieces to him earlier? They were all just kicking back knowing that they had a scapegoat if it didn't work out.

3. Deanna is an idiot not Tommy or Jeff. She was supposed to be in charge of the funds, if she was so freakin' worried about it, why not just tell them up front what the budget was for the denim specialist? It's okay to give 1/3 of the money to your team to buy accessories in Texas when you don't really know what the overall concept is going to be? Once again, it's easy for this alliance to kick back and say 'whatever" when they know they have a scapegoat.

4. I do agree about Julie though. Even though I loved the handbag she designed I just couldn't figure out what her contribution was.

Ok... I'll bite.

1. I feel that Liz blew this task cause the whole reason that her team lost was because it wasn't marketable (which was Princess' argument AGAINST Liz) the reason they lost was because Liz decided not to make it marketable. Could Princess have argued more for her side, and put her foot down? Probably, however, that wasn't why Tommy was mad at Princess. It seemed to me that Tommy was mad at Princess for Liz's mistakes.

2 and 3. Ok, I will give you this one (although I still think Ears is useless, and I don't think that the denim guy deserved that much money) They should never have given Jeff that much money if they didn't want him to spend it all.

Ewww, a debate! I just love debates...

1. Who actually designed and put the dress together? Princess. Who had control over which fabrics they would use? Princess. Who made it look like it was made in a middle school home ec class? Princess. Liz just put on the finishing touches, which did include the horrific serape, but it coverd the monstrosity of that dress. Did you also notice that "update" to Princess means "pleats"? She should have used 1/3 of the budget to buy a clue. :S

Jeff did not act alone...Chris was with him. I would like to agree with you, but I have no basis for this. I don't know what a denim specialist would normally charge to sew up pre-cut pieces for jeans and what I think was a vest and a jacket. It's a shame we didn't get to see that finished piece.

Having realized that I will never win a debate regarding fashion I will withdraw, but not before saying, I still think that Liz completely sucked on this challenge, and did not get any of the flak that she deserved.
