Chairo - last week you said "I was sitting there calling Ozzie a jerk for not using the idol. But in a way he was right. If he could be blindsided like that he deserved to go. "

I was screaming at the tv last night. I was sure he was going to go. Damn those editors! They are so good sometimes. I was happy to see him stay.

I agree, if he didn't use it and got evicted then he should have gone. I really didn't think he'd go last night. No matter how much Cheri or what ever her name is and Amee complain I think they know they need Ozzie until at least the merge.

However from what I have read in interviews with Jeff someone is going to fail to use the idol and be evicted. But it sounded like there was more than one who did this.

I would really like to see Ozzie win. I like him and I don't think he is the 'dictator' Tracey tried to make him out to be. Nobody else is willing to step up and make decisions for the tribe so they shouldn't fault him if he is at least trying.

I am not sure what or who their weak link is though. Since the division they continue to lose. Maybe because they lost James. James and Ozzie were a force that was unstoppable. Ozzie has the brains and James has the brawn.

Tracey gave away that Ozzy was the other on the chopping block. It was between them two, if I was Ozzy I would've pulled out the idol. Tracey would've been gone and it was her own fault for showing her cards. Ozzy is going to be the next James I think, try and wait out using the idol and get burned for it. As of right now I am hoping James or Ozzy wins.

I'm back!!! Oahu was great and after my first glorious day in the sun I settled down to watch Survivor and promptly fell asleep two minutes into the show. :giggle

I had to wait and catch it on the TiVo yesterday upon my return. What a great episode. I wish I knew what fell apart with Aimee's plan. It seemed like the way to go. I have a feeling Ozzie's apprentice had something to do with it. Then again, maybe it's Cirie who wouldn't bend.

I read the same Probst interview Chairo and from what I got it wasn't somebody necessarily not using the Idol. He just said that somebody was going to replace James for the dumbest move in Survivor history or something like that. He did mention that the Idol will have a huge impact on the game this season.

Next episode looks to be brutal! I'm hoping that brains will win over brawn this season. I love me some James and Ozzie, however, Ozzie is getting a little full of himself. He needs to remember that this is a social game and should not be limited to those around you. If your tribe is willing to vocalize the fact that you are acting like a dictatorship in your leading of the tribe, you can deny all you want, but it's how they feel.

I think James is playing a pretty good game thus far and his tribe seems to be doing well considering morale. I can't believe an alleged "fan" of the show would quit. :no Seriously, true fanatics may admit to it being harder than they thought, but they would NEVER EVER give up.

Well the dumbest move James made was not using the idol. Ozzie is doing the same thing ... he has been lucky so far. However in the interview Jeff mentioned "more" than one person would make the dumber than James mistake. Now that either means there is more than one immunity idol, they rebury it once used ... or it has nothing to do with using the idol.

BTW FG, welcome back ..... hope you had fun

dfleminator - March 28, 2008 07:34 PM (GMT)
But it's not a mistake to not use the immunity idol when you don't need it... would you suggest he just waste it instead?

chairo - March 29, 2008 12:53 AM (GMT)
Me? no I am not suggesting that at all. It's just the past two tribals his butt was on the line .... at least according to camp discussion and as Epheks mentioned, Tracy pretty much told him he was going home. Luckily that didn't happen.

dfleminator - March 29, 2008 01:53 AM (GMT)
We only see what the editors want him to see though... they want us to think that Ozzy will get tricked into not using the immunity idol. Tribal Councils usually last 2-3 hours... He hasn't needed to use it so far, and he hasn't used it. Doesn't seem he's made any mistakes to me (at least not in that regard)... his arrogance may be a problem, but I won't go there.
