GREAT episode!!! I think the faves are a bunch of idiots and side with Jonathan as far as the need to get rid of Parvati; however, I think he went about it the wrong way. I knew it was Ami who voted for Cirie and I appreciate why. Talk about somebody playing both sides AND the middle. I was a little confused when I first saw her standing in their group discussing eliminations. I think cocky takes on a whole new meaning in this tribe. :S
I wish we could have seen equal footage of the fans and hte aftermath of their first tribal council. Maybe we'll get caught up next week since that's when the good stuff is going down.
Is it just me or does Liza seem to be getting the brunt of the beatings during most of these challenges? When Eric whapped her in the head with the bag I almost fell off the couch I was laughing so hard. :giggle:

This decision is going to be watched untill Cirie is gone, it could be smart, it could not be smart. Personally I would have gone with the other 4, but I don't like Ami or Eliza so as a viewer I am glad with her decision. Since Big Brother sucks this season I am glad Survivor is bringing strategy and some intelligence this season.

I also agree with Cirie's decision. Now lets see if she is willing to vote with her group as promised if they got YauMan out. I sort of like Parvati and didn't want to see her go. If James likes her I like her, but there will come a time when both Ozzy and James have to decide to let them go.
I do think Liza is a trouble maker and actually started the division in the tribe. I can understand some of them being upset about the 'couples' but when it comes down to the end, common sense would dictate they will play for themselves, so let them enjoy their hanky panky if they want. Rob and Amber made it work, who's to say these couples won't. But that isn't really the issue. They hooked up, they are working together, get over and be a tribe instead of all the in fighting.
I for one do NOT understand Ami voting for Cirie. It was a slam dunk against Yau Man when she made that decision. They could have had a tie but Ami made that impossible

I think Parvati worked her magic on Ami too. ;) They were practically cuddling during tribal council.

Last night's show was AWESOME! I'm so glad Mikey B. is gone. I am slowing starting to like the neanderthal. :giggle
I hope and pray with all my might that the girls play a smart game and not let their hearts and hormones take over their rational sides and still kick the boys to the curb when they've outlived their usefulness. Cirie should consider herself very lucky because she's awfully cocky for somebody who is banking on the word of Parvati and Amanda to get through.
Next week will be extremely exciting if the switching of tribes actually switches things up as intended!!

Oh COME ON!!! I know more of you are watching?!! I SO need to talk about last night's show...ANYONE OUT THERE??!! HELLOO!!!!
chairo - March 7, 2008 05:42 PM (GMT)
I watched. The eviction totally surprised me. I think they made a bad choice at least for now. C is calling all the shots and nobody seems to see the control she has assumed. First she is responsible for Yau Man and now Joel.
I was glad to see the teams split but sorry to see James and Ozzie split up. Chet is so worthless. I think keeping him is going to really cost them. Ozzie seemed smarter than that but guess I was wrong.
He says he went with Joel because Joel wanted to 'win' well... don't they all want to WIN?

I thought Cirie was BRILLIANT last night. She was absolutely right in her assessment of JOel. Other than a big presence, he really did nothing to help in their winning of challenges. She played her cards very well last night.
Chet may be worthless, but I predict he'll be around for a while since Cirie planted the obvious seed that he's the perfect 2nd to have around when you are going for the millions in the finale'.
C is not calling all the shots. She's placing carefully planted seeds and posing VERY good arguments. Not only that but she managed to find a way to give the faves of her tribe a leg up going into the merge. The only person who knew about the meeting of the "super powers" was Jason (?) and he was clearly out of the "let's vote Joel out" loop.
ETA: Thanks for hanging out in here with me and talking Survivor Chairo.

I agree with funnygirl...
*waits for the end of the world to come*
I'm glad that Joel is gone. Chet is useless, but imo the way Joel treated him was disgusting. They have Ozzy so they don't need Joel. Joel was overrated and it was nice to see him go :)
chairo - March 8, 2008 05:14 AM (GMT)
I am not upset to see Joel go, only think for the moment it was a bad choice. If they keep Chet simply to win in the end, they may not make it to the end because he can't do anything to get them there.
I also found it totally beastly the way Joel dragged Chet around the course in the one challenge. For that reason alone I am happy Joel left. However, to be totally honest, watching Chet try to play this game makes me ill. I can't understand how he ever made it this far. At least Yau Man wasn't an aging ...... well I won't be insulting.
Survivor is still one of my favorite reality shows, but I really think there was a better selection of favorties to play this game. Right now I'd like to see Ozzy and James make it to the end and the best man win.
Amanda's shark capture was amazing ... wish they had shown the actual catch.
And FG, I'll hang with you anytime

This is my take on what happened since at first I thought it was dumb, but when I played it out in my mind it made sense. I think the thought process was that either way you are getting rid of a fan, so the numbers are even. Joel would've been a bigger threat down the road so you might as well drop him now. I think it is dumb because there is a lot of strength challenges and they are due for one, plus Chet is completly useless compared to Joel who just had a few bad challenges in my opinion. I can't see this coming back to bite Ozzy as long as he can get rid of Chet next, then Tracey. They will have huge numbers while Ozzy and Amanda go back to James and Parvati after the merge. That is my overthinking for the week.

No-no dflem, initial agreement generally results in a lightening strike. :giggle
I'm so concerned that my favorite player will be evacuated on Thurs. I know he's not a favorite of a lot of you, but I love JOnathan. We have a similar sense of humor and a similar demeanor when dealing with idiots. :laugh I hope all will be well in the long run, but it will be tragic to see him go. I have a feeling he will be "voted off the island" rather than evacuated by the medical team. :no
chairo - March 10, 2008 10:36 PM (GMT)
Jonathan is NOT one of my favs. But I hate seeing anyone get hurt like he did. Of course the previews are probably just so much hype.
funnygirl - March 11, 2008 01:59 PM (GMT)
From your post to God's ear. :laugh
How is it that we are such good friends Chairo? :giggle:
chairo - March 11, 2008 03:29 PM (GMT)
 Because with both liked Dick! That covers a multitude of disagreements :giggle:
funnygirl - March 11, 2008 04:43 PM (GMT)
And the dancing...don't forget the dancing. It happened way before Dick. I think he's the only reality contestant of questionable behavior we've EVER agreed on. :laugh
