Description: Continued Season Premiere

Tonight the men are going to shake up the dance floor for us. Will they do better than the women or will one of them be the first to go? Please discuss tonight's show in here.

I will start by saying there were some surprises tonight .. some pleasant and some not so pleasant. First I think Floyd got robbed. He was much better than his score indicates. I am not saying he was great but considering the allowances the judges made for some of the women last night, his score should have been higher.
Second surprise was Mark. I expected a cocky obnoxious man who would expect everyone to kiss his behind but instead I found myself liking him a lot. I think he danced well and hope he stays around.
Wayne Newton was the final surprise for me. I have seen his show and he is without a doubt a showman. I didn't really think he'd do great at this because he relies more on his voice and the extras in his show than his own hip action. Though I didn't expect a lot I did expect more from him. I felt Floyd did a better job but what do I know
The men did prove the women have some competition, but with a few exceptions I think a woman will win it this year, but I also think a woman, Josie, will the the first casualty because even the worst of the men were not as bad as her.
Great job, Albert and Cameron.

Floyd did do a decent job but some of the foot work was off and it was like he was on speed out there. Like CA said, he lacked a little finesse.
Mark was a HUGE suprise for me. I thought he'd be worse than Kenny Mayne. I'll have to eat those words.
All in all the guys did a great job. Helio was the best for me.
When Tom mentioned we would be losing a star tomorrow night and the camera went right to Josie, I fell out of my recliner.

I thought Floyd was rediculous! His performance was far worse than Josie's. It was like he was mocking the dance. Not only that, but who the heck is stupid enough to sign up for a show when they are training for a fight? What a putz!
I remembered Mark Cuban from his reality show a few years back adn I liked him then and I still do. It was weird for me to hear that he's already had hip surgery.
I do like this cast a lot though. I thought Josie and Alec's diary room was hysterical last night.

I still think Floyd wasn't all that bad. Where he was when he started and where he ended up impressed me. Didn't have the technical moves down but I don't think he was frantic as some think.
However I'd ask the question? Is there a difference between doing DWTS and training for a fight or having to fly daily to NY to be in a soap opera and doing DWTS or Still racing and doing DWTS.
For me it's like last year. Several do not seem to be willing to put in the time and committment they should. Learning new dances every week (sometimes two) seems to me would take more time than these people can dedicate to it so I am extremely puzzled as to why they even signed on to do it. There are plenty of out of work celebrities, or those not currently working on projects who could have been asked instead.

Poor Alec... I just wanted to kiss his face after that DR...well, I'd do that any way but I had to laugh at his expression.
chairo, I don't know about the difference of giving a total commitment to Dancing and not any other projects. I know Cameron always has a front burner story on All My Children, so I know he couldn't take off for the months that this show is on. Some of these stars still have to pay the bills. If we just had all out of work stars, I don't know if it would be as good. I do agree that any one that signs up should give it there all but that's going to be different for each one.
I'm loving this cast. I can't wait to see who goes tonight and what they all have in store for next week.

There is a HUGE difference between what Floyd and Cameron are doing with the back and forth thing. Plus, it looked like Cameron actually respected the dance and did his best to perform it in a proper manner. I was put off BIG TIME by the total lack of respect Floyd showed. I'm not saying this was his intent, but it appeared that way to me.
I do like that he's paired with Karrrrina...she's not one of my favorites at all. :no

Oh, FG....don't even get me started on Ole Miss Sour Puss Face. She is and has always been my least favorite.

How 'bout that Helio? He can move, and his upbeat personality is almost infectious. :yay:
