Title: ART Talk 7/17 - Pirate Master

After the pirates set adrift came back and lost the challenge by losing the key, Kendra, Jupiter and Laurel were marked. Jupiter was cut a-drift...if anyone is watching anymore.

It could have been a really good show, but John blew it. I'll post the recap in a bit.

I was shocked that they even trusted John with the key in the first place! Were they not paying attention in the beginning? He was a loser then and a loser now. I still would've liked to have seen the ghost team win to see how it would've played out. I still can't figure out how this show is going to end. They are running out of people to vote. Did they ever say and I just missed it? I think that if they don't mutinty soon, then the triad will carry to the end. It's time to change things up. I like Asmyth, but I just want to see how things go with different people in charge. I do like the show. The challenges are good and challenging. Looks like some have taken all day, but I know we don't know exact time lines. Looking forward tot he next episode. Oh....what was Jupiter thinking? She basically cut the line herself! Making a statement that she would never mutiny against Asmyth sliced the line with eveyone that was voting. They want to mutiny and stir it up, so she definitely made their minds up to cut her adrift with that statement!

One nice thing about being alone working at a TV station I have the opportunity to watch some shows I missed. For lunch I watched Pirate Masters and got to catch up on what all this Ghost stuff was about.

John climbed the tree or vine for the key. I believe it was Sean that untied the key and gave it to John .. WHY??? As they say Hindsite is 20/20 and who would have expected John to be so careless with something so important? I did see him attach it to his waistband, but still he should have kept his hand on it or something.

I was sad to see Jupiter leave but she went about things the wrong way. I believe she was loyal to Azmyth but wanted to tell him in her own way what was bothering people and that Mutiny had been brought up. If she had been smart she would have gone to him in private and let him know that at least one of his triad was siding with the crew.

Now to Jay wanting to get Azmyth out. Does he honestly believe that the rest of the crew would put him into the captains position? If he is smart, but I don't think he can see past his ego, he will keep things as they are and be satisfied until it's a one on one competition to remain the beloved 2nd. He has to see if there is a mutiny and Azmyth is cut loose he and Ben will be next. The women almost have the majority and if they stick together with Louie they can end up taking over.

SO as I said Jay should be content and protecting his position instead of putting himself in the position to be cut loose.

On the whole I like this episode except the excitement ended as soon as John lost the key.

I think the crew members on the black team should have tried to throw the competition. But since John lost the key the Ghost crew had no chance of winning anyway but they didn't know that. I understand that they don't want to purposely throw missions and lose money but they should look at things more long term. The total cash prize is going to be a milllion dollars and the triad is just going to keep picking them off one by one.

I would agree with you, but Mark Burnett doesn't do anything in a streamline fashion. :laugh There will be more drama as the final week approaches. ;)

I may be a minority but I like Azmyth. He and perhaps Louie are the only two that I'd be happy to see win the whole thing. I liked Jupiter but she is gone.

Laurel is my new favorite. Anybody who has the chops to tell the Cap'n to shut up during an elimination ceremony should get half the prize. :laugh

Christa could be a contender and I also like Jay.

Can you tell I pull for the fiesty ones?

Oh, I like Azmyth too! But if he stays in power, then we'll never know the path this show could've taken. They were never really clear on how the whole game was to work. Actually, Azmyth could win it all! He is very smart.
