The evening begins (following another long recap) of the scene in the Captain's quarters following Joy's elimination. There is talk that Kendra is the next that needs to go and how if they continue to win they will be unstoppable. Cap'n Az seems to think that fait is in his hands.
JoeDon and Nessa again state the obvious that red crew needs to win to upset the balance. Duh!
The next morning Captain Azmyth is doing something he hasn't done in any of his leadership rolls and that is act like a captain. He comes top side to tell the crew their duties. They include putting Louie and JD on barnacle duty. The idea is to wear them out before the next expidition.
Treasure Hunt Time
The teams come together like this:
Black crew: Azmyth, Ben, Jay, Laurel and Jupiter.
Red crew: JD, Louie, Kenddra, Nessa, and Krysta
The treasure hunt was pretty lame and it was really close. The red team remained seconds behind the black team, and it seemed like it was neck and neck up until the end when the black crew just edged out the red crew.
The red crew returns first and they are disheartened because it was so close and it was their one big chance to overthrow the king. :oooo
The black crew earns $30,000 and they decide again it would be fair to do a 60/40 split. Considering the only people getting screwed are the two women, it seemed really fair to them. Laurel called it like it was (pure horse-manure), but Jupiter jumped for joy and told us she figured she was still good because she got along with the captain and his officers and as long as she's the cook, she's got a leg up. Apparently, she didn't read Sean's memoire's of being cook on this ship.
The black spot debate comes up in the captain's quarters and instead of going for the easy target in Kendra as discussed earlier, Jay tells them he was able to get Kendra's word that she would vote how they wanted if they kept her off the black spot. So they agreed the best way to go down is:
Nessa, because more than likely she would get the pardon since it as obviously being passed back and forth between her and JD.
JD, because he's an honest and forthright threat to their regime.
Louie is the final spot since he'd make a great pawn since the entire ship (made up of women) love him!
The black spots are handed out and Nessa gives praise to God that she wasn't give one. We got a tearful diary session from her knowing she would be up since she is the weakest and life's not fair.
JD is a little anxious since he's in possession of the pardon this week so he can't bid on it. Nessa's feeling a little comforted by the fact that she has more money than most of the other pirates who are in fear of being black-spotted. Louie figures that all the girly's love him so he's not in danger.
JD tries to play the angle of "it's not a popularity contest" against Louie since he knows that Nessa will be in possession of the pardon. Jay puts the screws to Kendra reminding her about the promise she made in keeping her name from the black spot.
There was a brief talk of mutiny, but when Nessa questioned Jupiter about her feelings, Jupiter said she highly doubted it since she knew that Ben and Jay would stay faithful to Azmyth.
Pirate's Court
Azmyth said some pretty lame reasons for putting them all up. The only interesting thing he said was that he put Louie up as a pawn. :tireder
Nessa stayed suprising neutral in her plead to stay since she was pretty sure she would get the pardon.
Louie reminded all the ladies for the love he has for them.
JoeDon reminded them that Louie may be the father figure, but he was the warrior. He also pleaded to Kendra about saving her in the water on their last expidition.
The votes are cast and because of TiVo and I caught that Kendra gave us a sneak-peak at her vote (which was Louie) I actually thought JD may have won them over, but alas. Nessa won the pardon with a bid of $5,000 and JD was cut adrift.
With a bunch of slobbering kisses to Nessa, Cap'n Az cuts him adrift.
There's talk of mutiny by Jay next week, which leads me to believe that Cap'n Az has been dethroned. Stay tuned to see how this unexciting voyage may end.
