Title: Hell's Kitchen Season Three

World-renowned chef GORDON RAMSAY is back for a third serving of the sizzling unscripted series HELL’S KITCHEN. Ramsay is putting 12 new would-be restaurateurs on the chopping block for a chance to win the ultimate culinary prize -- the coveted title of Head Chef of a new fine Italian restaurant at the Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa in Las Vegas.
A former-pro-soccer-player-turned-Michelin-starred-chef, Ramsay is looking for someone with the potential to become America’s next culinary star.
The heat is on and the “steaks” are high as the contestants endure Ramsay’s hellishly intense culinary boot camp. Each week Ramsay will grill the ambitious hopefuls as they attempt to prove they have what it takes to run their own restaurant. He will slice and dice the contestants, keeping only those who possess the right combination of ingredients to ensure success. The contestants’ inexperience, combined with the perfectionist Ramsay’s acid tongue, may be a recipe for disaster, but for one aspiring restaurateur, it’s the chance of a lifetime.
In this pressure-cooker environment, only one thing is certain: If the contestants can’t stand the heat, they’ll have to get out of HELL’S KITCHEN.
HELL’S KITCHEN has kick-started culinary careers for previous winners. Season Two champion Heather West is currently senior chef at the Terra Rossa restaurant at Red Rock Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, and Season One winner Michael Wray is head chef at Tatou, a restaurant and supper club in Los Angeles.
HELL’S KITCHEN is a Granada America production in association with A. Smith & Co. Arthur Smith, Kent Weed and Curt Northrup serve as executive producers. |

I can't wait for H3 to start, however, I may not be able to watch. This show makes my husband violent! :laugh He hates Gordon Ramsey so much. I may have to skip it to keep peace!

Only a couple more days and Chef McNasty will give us another dose of his egomania. Actually though, I love Gordan, and considering what is at stake sometimes I think he should do a little more yelling. Remember these are people who want to cook the stuff we put into our mouths.
Another reminder for those who think he is too mean .... this is the 3rd (?) airing of this program ... those who apply know what to expect. Grown men breaking down into tears because they are yelled at just doesn't sit right with me. Cooking with snot running down your face isn't too appealing either .... and these just from the previews

I tried to look up Heather's restaurant at the Red Rock online and couldn't find it. Anyone hear anything about it?
dfleminator - June 1, 2007 07:09 PM (GMT)
I did a search for you squish, and she's working at Terra Rosa as Senior Chef... here's the link:

I can't remember was the deal that she would be "head chef" or "executive chef?"
...oh and I just read that Posh and Becks are partnering with Gordon to open a new restaurant in L.A. I think it was in "People" although it could have been US magazine or something. Who knows, I read it all! :giggle:

According to this press release, she was to become head chef... I didn't watch last season, but was Heather not all that strong in the kitchen? Could that be why she's considered a "senior chef"?

If you remember correctly, she was head chef at the Red Rock last year. I think the head chef position is only for a year. I would love to find out what happened to Inky (Michael, season 1 winner). Last we heard he flew off to London to work alongside Gordo. :oooo

I thought Heather was pretty competent in the kitchen. It was Virginia that was pretty pathetic.
dfleminator - June 2, 2007 02:26 PM (GMT)
On the website she's still listed as senior chef of the Red Rock... her year wouldn't be over yet.
ETA: Here's a link to the press release announcing her arrival at Red Rock, on Sept. 13, 2006, and she started as Senior Chef.

There was a flash in some preview about Michael saying he was thankful for Hells Kitchen and Gordan and is a 'head chef' at some restaurant who's name I didn't catch and it didn't say where it was ... here or out of the country.
