Description: Tuesday night

How's gonna rock the house this evening?? Please discuss tonight's show here. :)

So Patrice looked like she was sucking on a lemon all night. And I won't even mention the car wreck that is Storm. And don't give me excuses about having a horrible performance. Toby did a great job tonight. He's such a humble guy... I can't help but like him. I loved Lukas but hated that he sat down during the song. He's really a great singer. And Dilana... where should I start. Another awesome job. Magni was good and so was Ryan. Did I forget anyone? Oh yeah Zarya.
Urbangirl - August 16, 2006 03:33 AM (GMT)
I am really looking forward to watching tonights performance show. :D
Last nights "behind the scenes" show was quite intriging. Lukas and Toby got trashed in Vegas and then Toby's nudie run to get his song of choice - it was quite a fun show. However, the big thing for me was Dilana when she was talking to Tommy. I hope that it is reviewed a little tonight or tomorrow night.
I am a little worried for our boy Toby though.....his and Lukas' drinking efforts in Vegas may have lost them points with the band. :(
Urbangirl - August 16, 2006 03:34 AM (GMT)
Oohh! Looks like Toby did OK!!
lpatrick - August 16, 2006 04:02 AM (GMT)
LOL... Urbangirl, I don't think their drinking efforts will hurt them at all with these guys.
We need to hear more about this conversation between Tommy and Dilana if you please.

Patrice's eyes spoke volumes during the "critique." No, she wasn't great. She knows she's not going to make it and she's a bit tired of the SN guys. Gotta say I am too.
A day or two ago I heard something from one of Tommy's solo efforts. I can't remember the title, but it blew, chunks.
Storm's not a train wreck. She got stuck with a lousy song. There are always lousy songs included in what the contestants are given and it drives me crazy. That David Bowie song Magni was stuck with...geez I walked into the room a few minutes late, saw that and wondered what show I was watching. I know that some people can make a lousy song work, but why should they have to?.......unless Tommy writes more of that stuff I heard two days ago...
I'm not attacking you, L, but there are people behind the scenes on this show that are making lousy decisions and it's just screwing things up. Tonight's show was terrible as a whole. I'm not sure I can sit through another Navarro tirade about not fighting for a song. Just what the bleep does he want them to do, pull hair, throw punches, and draw blood?
At this rate I might buy a Zayra cd before an SN one. Shoot, I'll probably do it on the day I work up enough nerve to go in and buy ABBA's greatest hits. :D

So obviously Storm is in the bottom 3 and Patrice doesn't belong there in my opinion. Rounding out the bottom 3 I would have to say Zayra. I just can't see Patrice hanging on much longer she doesn't stand out like everyone else. Even with Storm's bad performance I can't remember Patrice's at all.
Again Magni was above and beyond my favourite with Ryan being second. Other than those two I don't think I would buy the CD if anyone else fronted the band.

FO&B... Don't make me go funnygirl on you! :) Just kidding. I can tell you that I have never listened to Tommy's solo efforts. My only musical experience of him was with Motley Crue as a drummer. And he rocked.
The song selection has been weak with all the great music out there. I think they are give them selections like Gloria Gaynor :O to see what they will do to the song. I give Storm props for trying to change it up, but she was not good last night. And I'm not saying she can't sing... she's got an awesome voice. But her delievery is all messed up.
Toby was one of the faves of last night. I was happy for him that he finally got that great moment.

Watch it lpatrick...you're not off my radar. B)
I was hoping to get a word in before the pontificating started. :laugh
I loved Storm's performance last night. Other stand-outs for me were Ryan  I fell for him during this performance. WOW!! I also would love them to rip a page out of a dictionary and give it to DIlana and say "sing"! She would blow me away with that. The tone of her voice is so unique and fabulous that she could sing anything! That being said, she managed to butcher the words of one of my favorite songs of all time. Oh yeah, somebody needs to clue the writers in this show in. Cats in the Cradle is NOT now nor will it ever be a "Rock Anthem". Idiots! :rolleyes
I think Toby's rushed performance of Salsbury Hill was still a lot better than Lukas' grunging up Hero...then again I kept rewinding back to him running naked around the pool. ;)
Why don't they put poor Patrice out of her misery? It's like they are making it their mission to rip the soul out of her. She's not my favorite person in the world because she's a little over-confident; however, the critique last night was uncalled for and very un-rockstar-like! Shame on you Dave Navarro. I hope your dad made you stand in a corner when the show was over!

With the girls that are left on the show and his comment to the blonde violinist last night, my money is on yes but only in a kiddies pool of jelly.
I had to laugh at Dave's comment to Dilana about thank god his dad was in their last night. Remember last year when he told Mig that his piano solo made him realise "How much I love my wife right now". Well look where that marriage is now? Look out Dad Navarro!!!
Thought most of you know the bottom 3 by now and probably who has left the building with Elvis :elvis , I just have a feeling that one member of the bottom three this week will show us all. Just a feeling.
More Nudie runs from Toby would be great!!

Urban, how long do you folks have to wait for the show's in Australia?
Semi-random thoughts:
I miss the INXS guys from last year. They just had a more mature and focused vibe.
The dancing girls made me think of Rap acts that know they bite so much that they have to put some distractions up. Now the ladies were quite good, but I wish the band had just let the song stand on its own. Again, it may be decisions made by producers and not the SN guys themselves.
Dave's going through an emotional time I guess what with the recent divorce and trying to hook up on the show. I do wish he'd cut the contestants a little more slack.
(Does anybody else expect Jason to just keel over from old age? Not being age-discriminatory here, but he's lookin' a wee bit tired and worn.)
If they did actually have a brawl over the song, Lukas would go down first (whilst I cheered) and Stormy could beat the stuffing out of any and all of them, not that I want her too, but she could if she had to.

We get the show three nights -Tues is the behind the scenes at the mansion, Wed is Performance night and Thur is the Elimination show. Each show is at 8.30pm, which I think this is about 8 hours after it is shown on the US East coast. The other woe for us is that it is on pay TV (Cable) and not free to air. Lucky we have cable.
I also feel that the contestants from last year were a little more mature than those this year. From the INXS cast offs, I actually think that Marty or Ty Taylor would have been suited for SN.
Speaking of the wonderful INXS - only three weeks until I see them in concert!!! Woo hoo :D :D
