So, from the first five weeks, my favorite hands down was Dilana's rendition of Ring of Fire. I didn't know the original so went to listen to it - don't like it but  ed her version.
2nd fave - Dilana's Lithium (can you tell I'm Dilana obsessed)
after that:
Toby's week 2 performance - can't remember the song but they gave him the encore.
Dilana's Cindy Lauper
Ryan's REM effort this week
Storm's David Bowie this week
Josh's Reggae this week  not for SN but I really liked it!

So hard to pick a fav when there have been so many really good performances. Everything by Dilana has been great. Magni's last one and Storm's "Anything" or was it called "Ill Give You Anything" also rank high for me. Ryan hit a homerun with Losing My Religion last Tuesday.
Cool idea for a topic and hope you hang out.

I'm all about Dilana's Lithium. I also enjoyed Storm's "Anything" and about everything by Dilana. Ryan's Losing My Religion was amazing as well.
I also enjoyed Josh's reggae this week immensely.

I only started watching 2 weeks ago and Ryan's version of Losing My Religion now has me hooked on this show. He did a hell of a job.

Despite her own self-deprecating post-perf analysis, when she metaphysically nuzzled Jim during "Time After Time", that was memory-making for Dilana. All in all, a stunningly talented and captivating performer throughout all her air time. Give her any cover and she's gold. Or titanium. Her original works? --- well, I'm afraid she's not off on her best foot, given last eve's mansion webisode. Will it affect her prize odds? --- SHOULDN'T, in my view: let the SN wealthy cats hire the writers they should (like any top comic does habitually, actually) because SN's one-shot-at-millions with a one-year tour and a one CD effort should be top notch --- why expect the finest singer and performer to do it all. She (or perhaps Lukas! --- I'm not passing judgment on the winner just yet) can more-than-adequately tweak whatever gets written, and come out with a much-discussed and first-class effort.
Storm's "Anything, Anything" was her PB till that point. The following week, her "Changes" rendition was somewhat of a flat-line --- no new visual or vocal excitement there: nothing but competence, perhaps. She does not provide quite that same anticipation pre-perf as does Big D. You date Storm; you consummate your marriage with Dilana.
Lukas? he's your batchellor party at this stage --- fantasy or otherwise and regardless of gender. He's alluring and distracting both.

Welcome to ART mashnodash! I completely agree, and while I've never thought of it before, it is quite strange that we wouldn't have heard from her by this point.
