Ok... I'll give you my mini-recap of the night's episode:

Lukas was very disappointed with his performance last night, and feels like he deserves to be in the bottom three. Dana has her new tattoo just above her waist on her right side. It's a treble clef, and Dave recommends a bass clef on the backside. Patrice tells the band that it was amazing performing with Tommy, and when the band expresses concern about Magni being homesick, considering they will be touring all over the world, Magni asks "we're moving to Iceland, right?"

When it's encore time, I was correct in my prediction from last night, and Ryan Star gives another superb performance of "Losing My Religion" by REM.

Finally it's time to find out who is in the bottom three this week. Brooke tells us that Toby, Jill, Dana, Zayra and Patrice were in the bottom three at some point in the night. Storm is shocked that Patrice was in the bottom three, considering Tommy having performed with her last night.

The first member of the bottom three, is the one that I am sure will go home. Jill Gioia is in the bottom three, and sings "Alone" by Heart. This song will forever remind me of Carrie Underwood, but Jill still does well. The boys give her a standing ovation, but could they really keep her around? Think of how crazy she is!

Before Brooke announces the next member of the bottom three, we find out that both Toby and Dana missed out on their house band practices. We don't find out why Toby missed, but Dana tells the band that it was because she was at the spa instead, and feels slightly embarassed. Tommy tells her that was the perfect rock star thing to do. (Not so perfect when you're not yet a rock star and you still need the practice). We find out that Dana is in the bottom three, and she sings "House of the Rising Sun". She puts a modern twist on the song, but each voice is done in much the same fashion, leading me to get bored about halfway through the second verse.

The final member of the bottom three is Patrice. Of course, this causes great concern for Tommy, who thought they performed quite well together. Patrice announces that she will be singing Jeff Buckley's "Eternal Life", and she does a pretty decent job with it.

Before the group announces who will get cut tonight, Gilby tells the rockers that they have a new assignment, which is to write lyrics and melody to go with a new Supernova track. I can't wait to see this part of the competition.

Gilby then tells Jill that she has made horrible creative choices, but that tonight she saved herself. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Beetween Dana and Patrice, Gilby says that Dana is developing well, but is there enough time? But Gilby also finds it quite troubling that Patrice performed with Tommy and yet still, she was in the bottom three. Ultimately, Tommy's decision was that Dana had to go, and Dana dealt with it with class, and got much praise from Jason for it.

I think that Dana will definitely go far, given a few more years of experience, and I would love to hear from her again sometime down the road!

Dana is too young and inexperienced to front this band. That being said, she gave a better performance last night than Jill. I didn't get to watch tonight, so thanks for giving us the results dflem. I still can't believe they kept Jill.
