Discuss tonight's episode right here. Thanks!

:P ok,ok, I'll say it...funnygirl was totally right about Kay-te Fogal being a drama queen. Preacher Fogal said just as much tonight. The girl whines about everything. And she's always wrong. I haven't really picked a "favorite" team but I have to hand it to team Air Force. They are like robots. And that Brooke is something... cute and brains too. I'll have to break out with a "You go girl," for that one.
The Brown's found out they were the second, oh I mean the fourth team eliminated. :suspicious
Finding tonight's artifact seemed like it would be impossible but team Air Force smoked everyone. When it took hours and hours for all the other teams to dig that death mask up, they (AF) found it in minutes. I'll fill you all in very soon with this week's recap of our show.

Team Air Force is quite possibly the luckiest team ever  I mean, that was a complete toss up as to who would find it first. I felt horrible for the Southies. I mean, 6 hours out there? Talk about killer.
I've got to admit - I thought that if the Geniuses kept Sam that they would have a disadvantage, but he ended up helping them significantly. They might be one of my favorites right now (although I like everyone but the Fogals )
Speaking of the Fogals... oh my gosh, how on earth can Kayte's parents stand her? I thought that the screaming scenes were just from last week, but apparently she couldn't just be thankful that her parents kept her in the race and she had to scream some more  FG, you were right times 10 :P

Right now, I in general like the Fogals, as I like two out of three members (Brad and Margie). I feel love for Miss USA, Ex-CIA, and the now-eliminated Browns. I'm "meh" on the Southie Boys, although I may soon dislike them, and on Air Force. I'm probably the only one here who, in general, hates the Geniuses, as I only hate Charles and Frances. I like Sam, though.

I'm not a huge fan of the Geniuses either. They knew going into the hunt that Sam had some physical issue and then when things get tough they want to dump him. Not a good move. I was glad to see they went back for him and it was a good thing because he was the one that found the mirror clue.
I'll give you that team Air Force was lucky on the dig, but they are a group of machines when it comes to these challenges. Ex-CIA and the Southie's were looking at that mirror for awhile, when Brooke had the idea to "mist" it up. I think this team has some skills and it's going to be hard to get them eliminated. (With that said, watch them go next week.)

I think you guys are being too hard on the Geniuses. Nobody really knew what they were getting into when they signed on to this show. They are caught up in the moment. Other teams also discussed dumping a member at the swamp and the only reason the Geniuses are standing out is because they were the "cliff hanger". They came back and were thankful they did later on.
I would like acknowledge that I'm grateful that you can admit when I'm right. I'm sure the Squish is downing a few shots before doing the same. :laugh

My pride is too huge to swallow. That lump won't go down. It is akin to BB goop, stuck in my throat for all eternity....
Does that make any sense at all????? LOL

Totally agree again, FG. Not to mention that it was easier for the other teams to not worry about cutting anyone because they weren't second to last and they had a general idea of how close the other teams were to them. I could definitely understand why they would consider axing Sam - however, I think that they knew in the back of their minds that they couldn't do it, hence coming back for him even after all of the discussion of dropping him.

I get it...you're trying to say you were WRONG!

Oh, and by the way, I personally blame the show for the Browns losing this time. Six-hour penalty?! Are they out of their minds?!
dfleminator - July 21, 2006 11:13 AM (GMT)
While I missed the show, I think it's just as well that the Browns lost. That one guy was pretty close to a heart attack, and I think it was important to have them eliminated in order to save their butts in a lawsuit.

Dale, I think that the 6 hour length was probably about right, especially considering that they hadn't gotten to even the first box at the time  However, I think that they should have given them maybe a one-hour delay and then let them finish the trail - that way, they could have actually attempted to get through like the rest of the teams and they would have been able to set their own pace.
funnygirl - July 21, 2006 08:51 PM (GMT)
I disagree Bored. Why should they get out of doing the swamp thing and the misery of it all? I think it was fair and anything could have happened at that point. Not to mention they were already on a second chance. :D
lpatrick - July 21, 2006 09:01 PM (GMT)
*Gulp* I've gotta go with funnygirl on this. If you can't complete the task, it should be over. And especially with the second chance deal. They really weren't bad people, but they (mostly Keith) just did not have the physical abilities for all of the challenges. This doesn't take away from them as people and I'm glad to see that they gave it a try, but you have to know your limits.
Dale - July 21, 2006 10:48 PM (GMT)
I just think six hours was a bit too long. The standard three other teams would've gotten? Fine. The six hours gave them NO SHOT whatsoever.
lpatrick - July 21, 2006 11:34 PM (GMT)
Honestly, they could have had a shot. The Air Force got to the field and found an artifact in under thirty minutes and then the Southies were there for over six hours digging. :wacko If the Geniuses had taken seven, eight hours :O looking for the last artifact... couldn't have found it, Brown's arrive and dig for two minutes :oooo . It could have be their's man. :D They were doing it for Keith.
