What a funny episode. I did feel bad for the Browns, but it's obvious that they're back from the previews, so I'm not quite sure what's up with that...
Also, glad to see that everyone else is turning away from the Fogals. I die a little bit inside every time that someone helps them or they do well

I missed the previews... I turned it to Hell's Kitchen as soon as I found out who was gone on Treasure Hunters... I think the Browns really needed to go... he just wasn't healthy enough to be there.
Also... the Hanlons? Driving 80 miles for a burger in the middle of a competition? They're dumber than I thought!

I am truly proud of the Grad Students. Wow!!! Talk about teamwork and determination. And Preacher Fogal reached an all time LOW!!! When Kayte dropped the canoe and said she's gotta quit (portage of the canoe), loving :pissed dad says, "I knew you would." I'm not prone to violent thoughts, but this man needs to be broken.
The Brown's are out, but I'm very confused by the previews. They are shown to be arguing with the Wild Hanlon's. Thoughts, anyone???
I'll have the recap of the show up soon for those of you who might of missed tonight's episode or just want to relive the fun of it all. ;)

I think that the Grad Students are probably everyone's new favorites. There's no way you can hate them after that show of determination. And besides, they did get screwed over by the Fogals in the cave, so they've automatically got sympathy points.

At this point the Fogal's have screwed almost everyone over. I'm sure his congregation is so proud. :pissed
I don't think I've ever seen better teamwork than the Grad Gals displayed. What a way to play a game!!! Instead of fighting and blaming, they worked together. What a great example.

Wow! This show just got so much better in one episode. I liked it before, but now I really like it. I think I like it so much because this time you got to see different teams and these people really are real. They barely showed the "geniuses" this time around.
I think the reason we saw the Brown's in the previews is because they are still in the middle of nowhere and maybe they had to return to camp to sleep? I am confused on that, though.

I'm really loving the show. I have always enjoyed American history and it's really nice to see alot of the places they are showing. They are setting everything up so well with bringing in president's and now Lewis and Clark to move the show and clues along. I'm looking forward to all the future episodes.

I'm thinking the grad students will be forced to leave and they give their place to the Browns and that's why they're back. It'll be a temporary return though. :(
Apparently, the Fogals haven't heard about karma. This is something that God cannot help you with. Also, I need to point out the drama queen episode by Kayte again last night. Now do you see why mom and dad just ignore her outbursts?
Squishybut - June 27, 2006 03:51 PM (GMT)
Nope, Funnygirl, I don't see that her being a drama queen as why her parents ignore her. In fact, just the opposite. Using my degree in Educational Psychology, I think it is her way to try to get her parents to actually get their self-centered conceited selves to actually pay attention to her. (Squishy steps off soap box)
I usually agree with you, but I just can't this time.
I still wub you, tho!

I'll have to go with Squish on this one. Most children will act out to get attention from their parents. I'm sure that her parent's actions are nothing new.
I think your theory of the Grad Student's and the Brown family is a possibility but I would really hate to see the girls go after the determination they showed last night.

Squishy, I also noticed that the Geniuses were hardly mentioned this episode - a lot of Air Force, Hanlons, and Grad Students. And although FG's probably right, I'd like to think that maybe another team suddenly had to quit (Fogals, maybe?) and the Browns came back and took their place. Unfortunately, I'm probably wrong  But it would make sense if they (the Browns) replaced them (Grad Students), since there are a set number of rounds that they have to have for this game to work. Hopefully nobody else will get injured :(

Now that I've been sufficiently Fogal'd Funnygirl staggers around, I have to stand by my initial assumption about the Fogals and continue to disagree with the Squish.
We're talking about a 20-something woman. You're probably right as to why she's acting like that, but I'm dead on about why they are ignoring her. Years of similar behavior you can tune out. My 9 year old is a drama queen and to the untrained ear you would think she was severing limbs in my house. However, I've learned when I need to run and when I can walk over and tell her to calm down already. It's a pretty thin line to cross, but for all the Fogal's faults (and there are plenty) I don't think this is one of them.

Definitely see the Browns taking the Grad Students' place. I think it's more than likely that that'll end up happening. Jessica is just too injured to continue on to all these later rounds.

Funnygirl, you've been Fogalled that's for dang sure!
