Though relatively new to comedy, Easton, Pennsylvania native April Macie has already performed her irreverent brand of "overtly sexual humor" at some of the country's top comedy clubs, including The Improv, Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, Carolines and Punchlines. Macie would like to add that she doesn't really know what irreverent means, but she's heard a lot of other comics use it and thought it sounded "kinda cool."

A difficult childhood and a dysfunctional family gave Macie plenty of material to draw from. "Bad parents are the gift that keeps on giving," she says. April decided to give comedy a try after a really bad break-up. Both her therapist and her father gave up on the idea that she could hold down a "real job" and suggested she pursue performing as a way to redirect some energy, and from the moment she set foot on stage she realized comedy was her calling. "There is nothing better than making a room full of people laugh. Laughter is the best medicine... right next to Prozac."

"Comedy is my coping mechanism," she says, adding that her routine gives "a behind-the-scenes look at women's views on sex. I attempt to break down double standards while giving sexually dissatisfied women a voice - and also mix in a little family dysfunction."

Macie says, "Being on 'Last Comic Standing' is an opportunity to showcase my work in front of millions of people, and most comedy clubs only hold about three hundred. I failed calculus twice in college and I still know that millions is way more than three hundred."

Bye bye, April. Your second set wasn't that bad, but goodness, the clip that we saw for the first round sucked. Guess that being Gary Gulman's Girlfriend doesn't help you out too much, after all.
