Discuss tonight's show in this thread. Thank you!
Yes, Michael messed up with the cheerleader thing but them being there or not had nothing to do with the loss of this task.
They said he wasn't selling because he had the mic stuck in his face...Well who was going to run the events? Someone HAD to.
They went overboard on the events especially with the food-eating contest, so Lee should have been fired.
There have been times that I disagreed with the choice but never this strongly.
My husband is about to have a fit over Carolyn being so hypocritical tonight. Normally, she is all over, "what lost the task"...tonight she was dead wrong.
Yes giving away assets in a major deal would be the worst thing you could do however, this show has been based on firing the person who did the most to contribute to that tasks loss. Those cheerleaders wouldn't have made a difference either way.
I think there is more to this than just this task.
I missed this episode, but I'm glad that Lee didn't get fired. I find him extremely entertaining, and I find Michael to be a really really strange human being. He's just so.... odd. Sorry, not a good explanation, but I'm not sure I can explain it.
It was just a strange episode all around. I knew he wasn't going to win but they should've put the blame way more on Lee, they barely told him he did a bad job.
Trump slapped him on the butt with it on his way out Boo. He told him he narrowly escaped. I think they were all at fault for not selling. Lee had a great concept for getting the crowd there but not one of them did anything to capitalize on the crowd and sell. I think they went after Michael because he committed the biggest sin outside of sales. They all deserved to go but we wouldn't get a "15 week job interview" if he canned them all.
I understood what Michael was saying; however, I also understood Carolyn's questioning his competitive drive. Michael was NOT cut out for the big Trump cut-throat world.
